Today I take on one of the most infamous achievements in all of gaming... posting an Outlast video without any Johnsons making it through the cracks lol. Energizer was a lot of fun too.

This Outlast playthrough actually made me a fan of the game, and doing it without a guide actually made it even more challenging. I'd highly recommend it. Игры
Outlast in the hardest difficulty, crippling yourself from a vital game mechanic and all while trying to keep the video monetized... I love your determination. It's admirable.
The dicks tried their best but hopefully I was able to hold them off enough
@@Snamwiches just say its family friendly
sucked your way to the finish line like a goddamn man@@Snamwiches
@@Snamwichesyou could say that was a dick move by them
@@Plonomstiff competition
Fun fact about the night vision camera. Even if you use up all the battery, you can still continue to use night vision mode, it's just that the range for how far ahead in the dark you can see is less than if you had battery. I played through the entire game without reloading once and could still navigate the dark areas with relative ease.
Oh wow I had no idea lol, I was waaaay to conservative with the camera to even get close to realizing that
@@SnamwichesWoooow you're such a good player man.I will not even think to do this achievement if i had the game.
@@Snamwichesmakes your run more impressive!
Do you have the brightness turned way up? Because this was NOT the case for me. Yeah the night vision still worked in a sense - but the range was so pathetic that it was almost as bad as not having it at all. So it ended up being preferable to just memorise the map in certain areas where I knew I wouldn't need the night vision and then run through it blind, rather than risk running out and be running from an enemy not able to see more than an inch in front of my face.
I also learned to "flash" the night vision on and off, memorise what the area looked like and where the enemies were, and then progress from there - instead of leaving it on for long periods. Valuable skill for this game.
similarly in outlast 2 if you have your device on full brightness you can navigate easily through the jungle and 50 percent of game without night vision
In the context of the game the protagonist went to Mount Massive to document what was happening but in this challenge the game becomes about a guy that decides to go take a walk around a asylum for no apparent reason
An Outlast permadeath on insane mode with no batteries or nightvision, all on your second playthrough. Well done, Snam. I also feel like permadeath is just becoming a requirement for your runs now lol
God I hope not 😭
@@Snamwiches
What do you mean, you imposed permadeath on yourself in Alan Wake, you silly masochist goose
@@Snamwiches I wonder what would be the hardest thing for Outlast Trials, since I hear that game is great.
@@Snamwicheswill you do Outlast 2 insane mode?
W
Props to sam for doing the hardest achivements and then editing everything
Edit: (and the awesome editor plum) i forgor
He deserves a samdwich 😂
Cornball, there's a million kids in their mothers basement doing the same thing right now. Man your name better be jenny cause no "man" is going to thank a doppelganging "achievement/trophy hunter". Go thank the first. RUclipsrs that actually came up with it, instead of the 100th person to do it. (Hmm I wanna be a youtuber cause I have no talent, what should I do? Reacting videos? Lip singing on tiktok? Let's play? Top 10? Oh I'll go with trophy hunter since I've never won a *real 🏆 in life)
Facts tho
the editor for this video is someone else tho , they are credited in the details
Just to correct, it’s both me and my awesome editor PlumSoda splitting the work. He’s been a life saver in getting these vids out regularly lately!
13:39 crapped myself harder with that than with the actual enemies in the game. banger video mate
Came to the comnents to find this i got so scared🤣🤣
Please me too, wasn't expect to that clip again... Now I can't sleep lmao
Outlast is scary as hell, you deserve a commendation for your bravery I could never
Why tf do I see you in every comment section
The only time I found it scary was when I got Energiser, and only because I was fearing having to do the entire game again.
@@StikythinkerNiggas ain't got shit to do
Haha after the first playthrough the only scary part is knowing you have to restart if you mess up. Id honestly recommend trying this one it’s surprisingly really fun!
Outkast? Hey ya!
This is one of the few achievements you've done on this channel that I actually have XD I actually combined it with Clautstophobe, for whatever reason. I had to retry a few times but overall it wasn't as bad as I feared it would be. The AI is actually very much scripted and easy to manipulate. Enemies follow a set patrol route until something draws them away from it, and while doing some kind of animation, like opening a door or jumping over an obstacle, they won't acknowledge you. So at 8:50, the moment you land in the room, you can just bolt and Chris won't start chasing you until he's done with his little entry animation, by which point you can easily outrun him to the end. There's another point where you can just run right past an enemy while he's breaking a door down, which is a scripted thing he does. You can literally hump him and he won't do anything until he's finished with that door, so if you just run past you can get far enough away that he won't even hear you anymore.
There are also a few blindspots some enemies have, where it seems like they SHOULD be able to see you but absolutely can't for whatever reason. Flashing the night vision just to make sure you don't bump into anything or miss a turn doesn't consume that much battery, and as you said, enemies don't run any faster than you so as long as you just don't stop, you're good, and there are few places where you HAVE to stop when being chased. The only parts I really struggled with were the last bit in the sewer section (large room full of water with Chris comin' at you) because you don't really have anything to use as a reference, and the outside section. I pretty much used night vision the most in those two sections as a result.
I too did it with claustrophobe. It took me two attempts in the end. My first run ended because I grabbed by Chris walker at the end of chapter 7
@@assassinforyou If I'm remembering the chapters right then I think I know where that is - the part where Snam got beat by a coffee table, right? I got got there, too. My strat was to wait by the door, then as he approached run insde and out the other door, circling around him. I just didn't account for the fact that he could simply go back out the door and meet me in the hallway. On my next attempt I used the far door instead and it worked better.
@@Someguyhere111 Yeah, that's the spot. exact same thing happened to me. I then ended up at the same conclusion and fared far better on my second run
Thanks man good to know I’m practicing completing insane mode first 😂
Let's pay our condolences to Snam when he attempts to do the Outlast 2 messiah run.
Uhhhh 34:44
The dedication to trying again not once, but TWICE when you were so close to winning is simply stunning. Would sub twice if I could.
That geo guesser joke made me laugh way harder than it should have
Timestamp?
@@georgesmith9961 21:39
the harder and more painful the challenge the more immense joy it brings to watch
The story of the video: Snam learns to remember where to go in Outlast
Also the pause in the music to say hi to the passive NPC at 31:39 got me good
The one thing that shines through on every single video and stream is Sam's positivity. Doesn't matter if it's a death on the final hurdle of an insane run, he enjoys what he's doing and always takes the positives from every situation. And that makes for a much better viewing experience for viewers and far better compilation videos like this where we get to see the final result. Keep up the great content!
Most of your fails were caused by getting lost, while the others were by a coffee table and a lamp post.
Not gonna lie, it greatly amused me
Nothing fixes my screwed attention span more than a 30+ minutes Snamwiches video about obscure achievements🎉🎉
this guy kept a smile in a demon game where your character is going insane while he was doing the achievements and also at the oricess was going insane as well props
The willie brothers "coming" after you in the showers is just how some adults like to spend there weekends, perspective is everything i guess.
18:32 "which way do I go for the elevator" there is a sign on the wall right in front of him 🤣
Getting softlocked in like 5 seconds on a little sign seemed very fitting, making us all proud Snam lol
16:23
Snam: Where is he? 😰
Trager: HOLD ON THERE BUDDY!😃
“I’m not bad, I’m just unlucky” is the explanation I give to my friends when they ask me why I’ve never won a single yugioh tournament ever since I started playing again 3 years ago
Just unfortunate circumstances for the both of us 😔
@@Snamwicheswe’re just built different, brother
Sounds like the ow2 experience 😂 at times
To this day getting MESSIAH in Outlast 2 (the exact same requirements of this challenge just for the second game) is one of my two proudest achievements of my gaming career.
Soo you did this 2 TİMES???
What a run (all of them). What a ride. Snam never disappoints.
another great one man glad to see you growing and keeping up the consistency!!
Holy shit, now this one will be amazing love watching people do these runs!
Excellent video, love seeing you succeed at these incredible challenges
I applaud you for your courage Snam, there is NO way i'd even consider doing something like this, no sir. Great content as always ❤
I love your twitch chat its always so wholesome
Ahhh yes, watching this on your stream and then the edited finished product. I can say I thoroughly enjoy both. Love you Snam keep up the good work bro!!
Man, i remember getting the Energizer achievement. I thought it was literally impossible until i ended up 100% this game one 3 different platforms. Even tried going for the world record for the achievement lol
Let's go another top tier video my dude love watching every single one of them can't wait for the next one
Some funny quips for sure in this video. I've never played the game but ive heard of it and about it of course. The joke about the inmates cracks caught me off guard but i chuckled all the same. Also the lamp post somehow trapping your character was so ridiculous but seems somehow appropriate at the same time for a speed run to have a random glitch happen.
Yeah outlast has a lot of these bugs it’s actually insane
You're covering my two favorite games (TEW and Outlast), much love!
Finally!!! I just subscribed to you last week and been waiting for an upload since i binged your videos 😂😂
Id like to point out that I noticed and appreciated the ratatouille music in the middle of the video, but it wasn't just any ratatouille music. It was the Ratatouille PS2 Game circa 2007. I only recognized it immediately bc that was my entire childhood. My fyp brought me here for a reason lol
I respect how you can stay positive thru the whole run even after deaths. I would rage like crazy
Reqlly cool to see your getting sponsorships. Thats a really good sign youre doing something right on RUclips. Keep up the phenomenal content!
After wathcing some of your videos, how could one smile so much on these nearly impossible achievement runds :D
Can’t wait for more content like this! Keep the good work, more scary games 😎🙌🏻
Always feel blessed when I see a new Snam video in my notifications. Hope you're doing good on this beautiful Saturday, Snam and gang :)
Somehow, i have never seen any Outlast gameplay that has the camera down. I always thought it was just how you saw the game. Also ur a maniac for doing this.
I love how I think u have done most hard achievements but u always seem to find one more difficult than the last 😭. Idk how to feel bc Ik its kind of torture but its so entertaining to watch❤
This trophy list or achievement really isn't as bad as it seems. I did insane in 2 trys. Once you play to get the other trophies you'll know what to do and where to do it
Luckily this one is deceptively not too bad since the game is only like 2 hours of you know where you’re going. (And don’t throw at the end)
@@Snamwiches 😭, even though you say that it looked like a pain in the ass
@@Snamwiches hey snam love you vids
Genuinely one of my favorite RUclipsrs now, been bingeing your videos for a few days now, now on to streams >:)
Loved the montage edit being timed to the music :)
Great Video Mate!!! Have always loved Outlast 1 & played it multiple times but never gotten all trophies but I'll be changing that soon lol was so entertaining watching you do this challenge & im keen for what's next 🤘😎🤘💯🔥
One awesome gimmick is that when Walker goes to smash doors (or any NPC) you can just stand right on the door and hold sprint. Once the door falls the NPC will have a recovery animation while you fly right past him. You can also bait them on vaultable objects as that locks them in animations as well. (they jump towards over to you, at the same time you hop over to them). This allows you to be a run and gunning menace in this game
i love these videos, its the best thing to watch while eating something nice
I always look forward to when Snam uploads, hope to catch his steam one day
That _jacked Voldemort_ edit mostly made me think of _handsome Squidward,_ tbh.
YAY!!!!!! I WAS WAITING FOR THIS ONE!!! I LOVE OUTLAST!!!
Heck yeah been hyped for this for a minute
This was an amazing video, and I hope he keeps up the great work. This is truly great content and I'm here for even more to come, considering he did a series I really like, Outlast, and one of my favorite games, Spec Ops The Line, I'm definitely going to stick around for more.
I got both of these achievements but not at the same time. Well done!! Mad respect!!
You are so calm in this I would cry I swear
Recently found out your channel, loved it and now it's time to MARATHON.
Love Outlast! Thank you for this
So awesome to still see Outlast 1 videos to this day! Such an amazing and fun game *Quick edit I caught your sneaky lil use of Bayo 2 music on the intro 😏
Man I was just rewatching your Evil Within video, so this was perfect.
I just finished watching someone getting all the trophies in every outlast game and wanted to see how you handle the hardest achievement. Plus love your videos
Whoa that was crazy! Well done 😮
I’ve been waiting for this 🎉🎉🎉
I always watch your vids you bring out they bring joy... though i feel bad for all the massacre you go through xD 😂
Been waiting for this
It's a good day when Snamwiches uploads
ive watched every video and his personality never fails the way he reacts when loosing after hours of progress is amazing doesnt get mad and rage just laughs it off and jokes about it is just awesome keep up the good work torturing yourself on achievements none of us have the capacity to handle aha
YEEEEEES another Snam vid, lets gooooo🥳
I’m equally envious, and in awe of doing this insanity
Finally, my most awaited Snam video
you’ve given me hope im going for this his weekend
You should be way more popular holy cow. Consistent bangers man
I don't tend to comment but don't stop making content, Snam! Been here since the first video and seen all ever since!
I like when the guy screamed the same note at the same time the pinch harmonic went off in Mute City near the end there
I knew the video on this run wouldn’t disappoint. Amazing job as always.
this man handles defeat and complete set backs better than anyone on the internet
i loved this stream so much!!
Nice work dude 👏
I remember doing this. I just played the game normally till I practically had it memorized. God, it was hell.
Just found your channel, and its really enjoyable content.
I really enjoy your runs! My favorite part is the music themes you add in because i try figure out what theyre from.. You had me messed up on the theme in the beginning becuase i knew what it was but it finally hit me.. re6 mercenaries lol
Thanks for going for my recommendation!
Keep grinding Snam 💯💯💯✅
Snams: "This isn't that bad at all!"
Game: "Challenge accepted"
back when outlast first came out i was still on console at the time, Getting the platinum trophy for this game was easily some of the most fun i've had on a horror game despite it being rough.
Another banger video from the sandwich man
That Dallas Cowboys reference is even funnier after last night.
Making fun of the Cowboys always ages well lmao
Snams ultimate achievement is playing through all these with his sanity somehow still intact
Lol, i've managed to get this one at the first attempt, it's actually fun haha subscribed
I love the dead rising mall music during the doctor squatch ad
Nice. I did this and also in OL2. Died so many times but was a fun experience in the end
I would Imagine seeing him Getting The Messiah Achievement from Outlast 2
Ayo Snammy! Another great vid, knocked it out the park 🔥 Would love to see you give Pathologic 2 a shot, just making it past the second day is quite the challenge itself 👀
Never looked into the game before but I’ll check it out!
If every ad break had the Dead Rising Mall music, I'd watch them all.
I did this and the insane difficulty run at-the-same-time. By the end I was ready to check myself into the nearest mad house for some RnR with those sweet mattress rooms.
"Harvard of the Southwest."
I've lived near ASU for a LONG time and I will forever be calling it that now.
Brilliant.
You are a LEGEND!
Richard and Johnson is wild😂
Just want to say I’m half way through this video and watched your Alien Isolation one yesterday and your content is fucking awesome. Absolutely cracking up! Brilliant.
Love this channel.
Now it's time to jump into Outlast 2 and have fun running away from cultists in the dark.
I never got around to doing it since I kept climbing into school lockers trying to get through doors in the dark. Probably should have just left the no hiding spot achievement for a different run.
