Since someone's probably curious, the Tank not instadowning you with cars in the Parish finale is intended. Due to being a really tight corridor that's overloaded with cars, Valve kindly set cars on both all difficulties and in versus to only do flat damage if a Tank punts them into you (which isn't exactly hard).
Specifically, they only deal 24 damage if your health is above 50 (or 40? Can't quite remember). If your HP is below the threshold, they incap instantly. This is hardcoded for all gauntlet finales, so the same applies to custom maps.
@@JAiZRUclips Oh shit, hi JaiZ! Love your vids bro! I think the threshold is 50. The funny part with coach and the witches is that while each bot has their own little unique thing, coach(and francis) seem to be particularly interested in picking up shotguns and trying to kill witches. Even their voicelines reflect that
Each survivor bot has a set preference for certain classes of Tier 2 weapons and will drop any other weapon for them if it isn’t in that category, so Coach and Francis (or Louis on Xbox) are the only natural shotgunners in the crews. Along with them, Bill/Nick and Louis/Rochelle (Zoey on Xbox) always take ARs when given the chance, and Zoey/Ellis (Francis on Xbox) always take scoped rifles.
Well that explains why coach kept saying “Get ready to toss that bitch!” I always sneaked by it but everytime I passed it I can hear someone making it mad before I hear shooting and either Coach or Ellis starting the witch notification appears.

20:26 Fun fact: They literally don’t have to shoot to kill the commons climbing the ladder. If your feet touch a common’s head, they die on the spot and you take no fall damage if you were falling. This has the amusing side effect of having commons have an instant heart attack and ragdoll the instant they reach the top of a ladder or object they can climb because you’re standing where they would pull themselves up.
I was somehow blessed with a campaign glitch for 3 hours where the characters run while crouching, one shot everything, and unlimited everything. Got both Expert Achievos 🤣
It’s always nice to see a long video about L4D2. I remember doing a Solo Expert Realism playthrough of my own because I didn’t have Xbox Live Gold at the time and so couldn’t find myself a good team. With the combination of the surprise Tanks, Witches and other Special Infected, along with of course the tomfoolery of the bots made it quite the challenge for me. I still remember the satisfaction of beating a Campaign like this and as I did so, I told myself “I’m never doing this again.”
This made me really happy. Brings back memories back then playing with my gang. And the satisfaction of winning, the adrenaline, the thrill, the desperation, and never giving up.
Ay glad everything came together, im sure it'll be a banger of a video like always, sounds like this hard of a challenge wouldve been terrible to lose all this footage
Left 4 Dead's difficulty system is truly one of my favorites of all time. Expert is brutal obviously, but there are even times on Normal where the game just decides "yeah you're all going to die. Here's a tank, a horde, and one of every special infected while you are all already low on ammo."
that shouldnt really happen though. during tanks, horde spawns are stopped (unless you advance/rush, got boomed, or already triggered one before aggroing the tank), ans the only thing you should look out for are three special infected.
This was worth the wait. Appreciate the hard work you put into these, AND hope you never have the added pain of losing your work again. Thank you for pushing through!

The Parish is a bit more manageable than other campaigns because the finale doesn't pin you down in one place waiting for extraction, if you get one reliable human teammate with voice chat it's more of a matter of perseverance and good RNG.
It's still probably the least scuffed campaign for a solo run because you never get stuck in one spot for too long and can reliably rush the finale as long as the Director doesn't hate you.@@brawler5760
I remember playing this with my ex when it first came out. I wanted to save the gnome, but he got pissed when I tried. Watching this was equal parts nostalgic and cathartic. Thank you for the time and effort you put into it!
The Parish is actually my fav campaign and I wanted to try Realism with bots on it since I saw you do it. I managed to only die 4 times but Im scared of attempting the other campaigns so I gotta commend you for having the patience and determination to do it.
Congrats on beating the challenge, both the game and life tried to stop you from getting this video out but it was a treat to watch and well worth the wait! Can't wait to see what you do next, rock on Snam!

Watched your runs live on twitch and the pain was palpable. But my god… the highs were soooo rewarding! The challenge went on for too long that editing the footage surely would’ve been a headache. Thanks for the great content Snam!
I don't usually watch people game, but felt in love with L4D2, and stumbled upon this - watched it four times, and that was the amount it toke me to realize he wasn't talking with anyone called Chad but chat 👏🤣🤣
47:28 if you startle the witch but someone else sets her on fire, she actually starts to go after the person who set her on fire instead (no matter how long she's been running, its cool to mix her up with a bunch of fire bullets from different survivors all at once cos then she'll keep flipping between each survivor over and over), and ellis had fire bullets but its really funny to just think that all the zombies keep wanting to go for him instead (like in the previous chapter)
The nostalgia as you play and remembering all the little tricks to beat this is awesome the memorizing the mall to get through the horde and not turn the wrong direction haha and the mess to pour the gas faster

Doing expert realism in vanilla L4D was so much easier. Not only are all the maps in L4D2 far more open but I swear they changed something in the hit detection because it sometimes happen that I swing the melee weapon or shove and no hit registers and I get hit, costing me precious health. Kudos to you, especially for doing it with the AI teammates!
i love these videos keep up the great work. really happy that this video was able to come together even after loosing the footage thank you snam this is going to be a great watch
i used to speed run realism expert with some randoms, who had over 1k hours (some are now over 3k on it) that became friends for a bit, it was always a blast and iv learned so much about the game from doing it. Even just going to the server browser and selecting realism expert there is still always around 5 games to be joined at almost anytime for US East servers. Most people that first try it want to play slowly but you really do have to just full send it and most of the time you will outrun the common and only have to worry about a hunter, smoker, or lord forbid the menace known as a jockey spawning around a corner. Did this for ~2 years but havnt touched l4d2 since sept of 2022, its good to take a long break. When i say speed run i dont mean actual timed speedruns with any out of bounds or glitching, just go as fast as possible and do little trick shortcuts and if someone gets downed and they are not right in front of you, then you just leave em to die. The best gun imo is the silenced smg or the chrome pump, they are more accurate than their counter parts and are available at the start and generally better than the tier 2 guns for going fast. Changing shove to shift to hit with my pinky made it alot easier to run through hordes. The best things iv learned from doing this is all the spawn cue sounds and music for every infected, how to punt a hunter in mid air, cut a smokers tongue before it grabs you, etc., all neat tricks. My favorite trick is jumping on commons heads to boost up to spots you arnt supposed to normally go and some areas this allows you to skip sections of maps or even skip parts of timed events. The only map that can consistently give trouble is obviously dark carnivals 4th map horde event sprint, if we keep failing we would just set someone up as bait and leave them to watch the saferoom from the fences before you get to the event. My favorite map to speedrun is No Mercy's Hospital, sometimes I would load in fast enough before other players that i could rush to the elevator, activate it, and jump down the stairwell back to the saferoom. It feels amazing to be able to do that and is really fun as hell. imo doing it solo with bots is sometimes easier as the bots will just tp to the player if they are far enough away but they do have awful reaction times to people being grabbed by a special and if that happens the run is over. Witches are hilariously fun to mess around while doing this; either everyone has a melee and we all hit at the same time or one will aggro and just run like hell I originally had this game on win xp and only the demo version for a few months when it cameout so it was only one map of the parish with the event of having to run through the winding Ceda Checkpoint. Took a few years before building my own pc and finally getting the full version of the game.
I play a lot of realism expert and I can say that with good strategy and good reflexes it isn't so bad, just keep moving! The slower you go, the harder it will be. If you gather a horde and leave them behind the survivor group the maps become a whole lot easier and gives things like car alarms or random hordes a great use.
Did this with my brother during the lockdowns, the hardest campaign by far is the dark carnival in my opinion(the second to last chapter especially) the missions are so long, it’s close quarters for most of the campaign, and since it’s realism, you have no room to breathe. Truly was the most torturous experience getting into the concert when the crescendo doesn’t stop spawning zombies and specials.
I can relate to this, I already finished all the other campaign on expert except Dark Carnival, the most hardest map for me is the 4th one, the amount of zombies you have to kill to get to the safe room is just so annoying. The 5th map is also hard because of the amount of SI and commons spawning during the crescendo
Yea the ticket booth part (Barns) can either be the hardest level or the easiest depending if you have a bile or not. As someone who plays realism expert exclusively and usually with mostly AI teammates, I find the second level of Hard Rain to be the hardest overall level in L4D history IMO
@@tbbsenpai5341 Yea those are definitely up there. Also if you want to count it the 2nd level (I think the 2nd) of Cold Stream is a nightmare on realism let alone expert.
@@techs2996 I just played it, I think I would put that level above coaster XD, the endless horde is so annoying to deal with, especially near the saferoom

47:29 While you did disturb the witch, poor Ellis set it a blaze and the witch will actually switch targets if lit on fire by a different person, cause like than tank she doesn’t like being on fire
ALSO! for a while there was an exploit that allowed a party to give the achievement to all non-host players so they'd only need to get to the last mission of a chapter then, do the exploit to change the difficulties and beat only it on expert realism. in reality the number of legit achievement gets for this one is MUCH LOWER
Oh man reminds me of when i used to have a entire squad dedicated to doing L4D2 expert realism. On expert realism the game is taken so differently and slower than a normal L4D2 game.
How do you not have a million viewers by now??!! Your content is literal gold. I love your vids, their a guarenteed laugh at the end of a bad week. Entertainment gold honestly
This video motivated doing this too but on expert only. Honestly, thank you. Because this was the most fun and thrill I had in gaming for a while! :D I felt sooo good whenever I finished a campaign!
Dunno if you’ll see this but ever since Steam implemented Steam Input into all of their games, they’ve changed the default controller input from the original XInput/Xbox 360 controller style to a disgusting abomination that was designed for the original Steam Controller. However you can still enable the older XInput mode in L4D2 by going to Settings -> Keyboard & Mouse -> “Enable Controller” which will switch controller settings back to what it was on Xbox 360. Even for Steam Deck this way is much better IMO, as you can still use K&M inputs to enable Gyro Aiming or Touchpad aiming while keeping the old Gamepad controls
Been watching your videos as a passtime for the past few weeks while doing the dishes and its been entertaining as hell. Well deserved sub for the pain of doing those campaigns.

Great videos! Also, do you think you'll ever tackle "Mein Leben" from Wolfenstein 2? It has a rarity of 0.02%. I just got it last week and it seems right up this channel's alley lol
As someone who still plays this game religiously I won’t ever bother attempting these because the AI teammates are worse than the actual enemies. They’ll watch you get dragged away by a jockey and do nothing, they won’t run away from the tank unless you get far enough yourself, they’ll heal you at the worst of times, easily the hardest parts of these
I remember trying to get this achievement over and over again with my friends and we could never get it. I eventually said screw it and tried it solo and finally got it lol. I was pumped.
You're a champ for going through it. But when I did this, I learned from a friend that the best way to do expert realism is to go fast. You can actually out run most of the hoards and even take shortcuts that will make life easier

This has the amusing side effect of having commons have an instant heart attack and ragdoll the instant they reach the top of a ladder or object they can climb because you’re standing where they would pull themselves up.
This exact achievement has haunted me since I was 9 years old, very happy I got to see someone achieve the dream good shit man
I was somehow blessed with a campaign glitch for 3 hours where the characters run while crouching, one shot everything, and unlimited everything. Got both Expert Achievos 🤣
Glad that you recovered the footage.
I can see why you were worried about it.
I wouldn't want to go through that nightmare of an achievement either.
33:08 with Rochelle screaming in sorrow in the background with snam cheering is the funniest thing
Man you just can't hate this guy, nobody else can channel their rage into a beaming smile and WHHHHAATTTT😂
I think his time playing LOL is the lore of how he can cope so well 😂
This made me really happy.

I'm in awe that anyone can get this done with only the ai team.
The fact that he did this while not using god spots or skips is very impressive
What are god spots?
@@howtoappearincompletely9739god spots are spots on the map with dumb nav meshing meaning infected won’t be able to path to you and will eventually despawn
Probably cause he didnt know any 😂
You really think Snamwiches knows what those are? he barely remembers the map layouts 😂
@@nothingtoseehere9648 Or when he needs bile, or how important shotguns are, or how to kill witches...
32:57 the way he shoots coach and then sits there waiting for him to die 😂
So glad you were able to recover everything that was lost for this video, looking forward to watching this later tonight!
You've quickly become one of my favorite content makers. Hilarious videos and your resolve during some of these challenges is honestly impressive, I could never lol.
Hell yes! I've just discovered his channel and it got me hooked. He is a really charismatic guy.
I'm gonna say Snam, I just recently found out about your stuff, doubt you may even see this and that's ok but I really like your positivity in your videos despite the craziness you go through, Be proud of what you accomplish my guy.
The Parish is a bit more manageable than other campaigns because the finale doesn't pin you down in one place waiting for extraction, if you get one reliable human teammate with voice chat it's more of a matter of perseverance and good RNG.
That’s the thing. He played this solo
Gnome must be saved
The Parish is actually my fav campaign and I wanted to try Realism with bots on it since I saw you do it. I managed to only die 4 times but Im scared of attempting the other campaigns so I gotta commend you for having the patience and determination to do it.
Congrats on beating the challenge, both the game and life tried to stop you from getting this video out but it was a treat to watch and well worth the wait! Can't wait to see what you do next, rock on Snam!
I don’t usually don’t finish YT videos over 20 minutes but I enjoyed every minute of your suffering. Respect from a L4D player.
Respect 💀
Rochelle is panicking at 33:06 while this dude is celebrating. What a legend! 😂
Good lord just hearing those achievement names bring back really bad memories of attempting these. Thankfully I had a good group of people to work with on the 360 but wow did it take so long. Major props to you for doing this solo.
As someone who loves the Left 4 Dead series, extremely excited to watch this when I get home, keep up the great work buddy
47:28 if you startle the witch but someone else sets her on fire, she actually starts to go after the person who set her on fire instead (no matter how long she's been running, its cool to mix her up with a bunch of fire bullets from different survivors all at once cos then she'll keep flipping between each survivor over and over), and ellis had fire bullets
but its really funny to just think that all the zombies keep wanting to go for him instead (like in the previous chapter)
The nostalgia as you play and remembering all the little tricks to beat this is awesome the memorizing the mall to get through the horde and not turn the wrong direction haha and the mess to pour the gas faster
I just want to say I've been watching your content since the early days and I've never commented before, but i just want to say congratulations buddy! Because you have such incredible patience and skill and no ones making content like this which makes things so much more fun! 🥰 keep it up and never change
Thanks, I really appreciate it!
@@Snamwiches your very welcome buddy!
My buddy my friend. I found your content a mere week ago, and have binged most of it while leveling a character in WoW classic. Im a 34 year old Electrician who has played games since I was 2, and I have HUGE respect for your patience and determination in getting them crazy achievements. Keep it up buddy, youll be up to millions of subs in no time.
Peace out and have a great day!
Why did I capitalize Electrician?
Nick: “do not shoot any of the cars!”
Snam: “no worry, I’m way ahead of you”
“Car goes off”
Nick: “son of a bitch…”
“Snam face of absolute confusion ”
38:20 best moment 😂
Is no one gonna talk about that he donated 135$ for women's charity to prove he didn't lie. What a W for doing that mate! I also love your video and keep it up too!
34:03
There's not a single bad video, what a guy. Making my days better, amazing IMPOSSIBLE run man!
Witches are hilariously fun to mess around while doing this; either everyone has a melee and we all hit at the same time or one will aggro and just run like hell
I originally had this game on win xp and only the demo version for a few months when it cameout so it was only one map of the parish with the event of having to run through the winding Ceda Checkpoint.
This dude is *too* patient. It’s actually uncanny.
@@techs2996 coaster, barns, mall are the three hardest level IMO
@@tbbsenpai5341 Yea those are definitely up there. Also if you want to count it the 2nd level (I think the 2nd) of Cold Stream is a nightmare on realism let alone expert.
@@techs2996 I just played it, I think I would put that level above coaster XD, the endless horde is so annoying to deal with, especially near the saferoom
Thank you Snam, I know you put in the work recovering and reediting footage sna di just want you to know we appreciate that. Thanks for the hour long video!
36:40 that smile with the screams is so serial killer its funny
33:07 I love how he is celebrating while rochelle is saying no no no no because the team died
The video turned out great, Snam! Keep up the good work
And here we watch as yet again snam decides to make every aspect of a challenge he has control of stupidly hard.
This is a journey I'm really glad you took us with you on! I especially loved the character development you went through there ❤️
19:52 jumpscared by a shadow, almost got hit by charger, grabbed by a jockey then finally a smoker
Congrats on finally getting it all together after the mountain of obstacles
Oh man reminds me of when i used to have a entire squad dedicated to doing L4D2 expert realism. On expert realism the game is taken so differently and slower than a normal L4D2 game.
"I beg of you bridge of the parish that there's no much zombies and tank on my way"
oh you sweet summer child
How do you not have a million viewers by now??!! Your content is literal gold.
I love your vids, their a guarenteed laugh at the end of a bad week.
Entertainment gold honestly
Congrats on the sponsor and for beating this achievement... You are built different my dude.
Completing Expert Realism was painful enough with three other friends, I can't imagine trying to do it by myself
This video motivated doing this too but on expert only.
Honestly, thank you. Because this was the most fun and thrill I had in gaming for a while! :D
I felt sooo good whenever I finished a campaign!
I found this channel today (or technically yesterday) and I already love it. The energy, the humor, the vibe. It is everything I need.
Always amazed by your patience on stream with these hard achievements
Nick saved you, but you saved Chomsky. His sacrifice wasn't in vain
This is actually very good to know for the future, thanks!
Been watching your videos as a passtime for the past few weeks while doing the dishes and its been entertaining as hell. Well deserved sub for the pain of doing those campaigns.
Lol this whole video was hilarious, but 55:05 sums it up perfectly. "I hope i just didnt get roachelle" wish granted, you got all of them 😂 GGs bro.
This dude has that fucking smile even at a funeral
I love how he always does these challenges alone. Reminds me of the old days where I had no friends to play games with because I didn’t have Xbox Live. I also didn’t have any friends XD
This dude is so underrated I’m new to the channel but I can see how much effort he puts into these videos much love keep up the great work you got me hooked on some new type of content thank you!!!
If you can, I recommend watching it live on twitch! It’s such a blast.
Snams inability to lose his sunny optimistic attitude is honestly impressive.
I know this vid is a year old but in so glad I found it. The last expert realism vid I saw was talking about how it sucked for custom maps, and was compleatly unhelpfull on the mode in general
I think my favorite part of your videos is your positivity. It's seriously so infectious, and it makes daunting challenges a lot less intimidating when you have a positive attitude about them. Great videos! Also, do you think you'll ever tackle "Mein Leben" from Wolfenstein 2? It has a rarity of 0.02%. I just got it last week and it seems right up this channel's alley lol
I remember doing all the Achievements for both L4D1 & L4D2
I love watching these type of videos keep up the good fight
As someone who still plays this game religiously I won’t ever bother attempting these because the AI teammates are worse than the actual enemies. They’ll watch you get dragged away by a jockey and do nothing, they won’t run away from the tank unless you get far enough yourself, they’ll heal you at the worst of times, easily the hardest parts of these
At least you make this entire endeavor fairly entertaining.
I will be the kind of guy that would end up breaking my TV 😭
Can we just appreciate that this guy did NOT upload only the best clips, and showed us every single bad thing that happened?
4:58
Not immediately closing the Saferoom door when a Tank was behind you triggered me so hard
32:55 pulled a shane and shot him down like otis LOL
got me laughing like a mad man, bro did coach foul LMAO
Nick healing you during the tank...I wouldn't play L4D2 for a very long time after that lol
@25:30 the zombies weren't distracted by the pipe bomb because they have noise canceling ear muffs since they're construction guys
And there is the other problem, even if they have that ear mufflers they DO NOT get distracted by the bile bomb which is weird
