I'm currently stuck on what to do. I want to land a remote job in forestry before I leave cause I'm currently in my final year
Depends on what you mean by "this industry". For example, there are people who cut the tree and the logs and others who transport the wood or other technical jobs, they don't need studies just the expertise. But in order to make Forestry managing, soil managing, conservation planning and such yeah, you need to study. If you have any questions you can ask me, I'm a "Forestry engineering" student

You need to rename your field from 'Forestry' to 'Logging'. Until then, you're being intentionally deceitful. This molestation of the earth at the hands of such ignorant people has gone on far too long. You could harvest FAR more timber if done sustainably and with better methods but you literally haven't innovated your field one bit since they began logging. All the motors and tools were inventions of other fields, just re-implemented. An before you ask, planting more trees for you to cut down again is not "sustainable," no.
In order for some trees to grow, some may need to be taken down as they're in the way of the growth of healthy trees. Plus, usually trees being planted and taken down(either bc theyre sick, or for the woof, etc) is an equal number.
