I have shared with people the detriments of diet pop. They said they don’t care they will never give it up. Amazing. Thank you for being straight with the people. We need to hear it.

Its so very inspiring and just to Watch your beautifull glowing aliveness is already motivating. I am super motivated. My “addition” is 100% sourdough bread, and I generally like basic whole food starch Based low fat diet. But I have added more raw broccoli and raw linseed, and I drink some more water than I used to. And I am 80 and I feel really good and my arthritis is much better than it used to. But when I share it with my neighbours and friends most of Them just Think I am crazy. So culture and social habits are difficult to change and I Think there should be an Education for doctors that also included plant food as medicine and in that Way could avoid a lot of pain 🙏♥️

I am 65 and like with you no one around me is vegan and all think I am crazy!! All of them are on pills and suffering with different maladies and for cheese or meat will rather be on pills. My very good friend who listens to what I say and agrees with it always says “I could never be without cheese in my diet”.

42:02 I also struggle with interstitial cystitis, been going on almost 4 years now off and on. I noticed when I make my smoothies with lots of sugary fruits, it irritates my IC as well. What I found is cutting out almost all sugary fruits, and cutting out processed foods such as flours, breads, rice, and other foods that increase yeast production, has helped me greatly. I tweaked the smoothie recipe and found that 16 ounces of greens, 1/4 cup of Chia or flax, and no more than 300 g of a sweet fruit, my favorite is mango, allows me to enjoy the smoothie without irritating my IC. It’s almost healed after almost a year.

I also have IC. Iv never met anyone else with it. I'm the same with the smoothies I have to pick certain fruits. I used pineapple last week and it almost killed my bladder 😑. I also use mangos and bananas and I find that works best for me. Maybe 1 strawberry if I'm lucky. Blueberries I can also tolerate.

Regarding the first question: I have been battling back pain for 15 years and surprisingly going on this diet cured 80% of my pain. I have a herniated disc and compression of L5-S1, degenerative disc disease, and arthritis. So like Dr. G said it didn’t fix my structural problem but apparently the anti inflammatory diet helped get the pain down to a very manageable level, almost gone! I’m truly amazed. Also I’m only doing hyperburishing and cutting out most animal products (I have a serving or two a week of animal products)

My best friend is a food addict. I have been an addict myself and am "in recovery" but I still have to remind myself that it is an addiction and not laziness. I know what you mean though. It is so sad and frustrating to watch someone who just won't change what they eat.

So so so so grateful for your elaborations on food addiction. I needed to hear this 40 years ago when I was 14. I grew up in Germany and my mum cooked healthy with lots of fruits and vegetables every day. But still....the drugs were out there lurking.....and I got hooked at 5...and somehow I started procuring myself sweets and chocolate from that young age.....we never had sweets and junk in the house......and still.....the drugs got me. I am convinced now that I am genetically susceptable. I remember embarassing overeating at children's birthday at age 10......wondering how the other kids could possibly STOP eating those heavenly things??? The drugs got me hooked for life and I suffered. BADLY. BADLY. BADLY. I do not drink or smoke because I decided early on that I had sooooo much to work on with this COOKIE/CHOCOLATE thing......that I definitely could not let any other drug into my life. At least that was a smart move. I feel like these 55 years of life have completely been dominated and largely been destroyed by the addiction and the struggle to stay at least only slightly overweight .....and a hellish struggle it was. Let me just say: hardcore Bulimia. I struggled since then with food addiction but now I FINALLY NAMEND AND IDENTIFIED this thing as an ADDICTION .....that I definitely am going to erase from my life.... and I am on my way to total freedom. I will be the only free person around for hundreds of miles.....since everybody is addicted to processed foods in this world.....so I will be rewarded for all this pain with outstanding freedom and outstanding health. I can't wait. I loooooooove the LIVING FOODS LIFESTYLE. I once heard a raw-foodist and ex-drug-addict say that no drug ever compared to the high that the living foods are giving him.
Thank you for telling it like it is on food addiction.....you are such a rare voice out there. Thank you for your constant engagement. You really help change so many lives that you do not even know about.

Hi! I have lupus (diagnosed 2021)with recurring ascites and plural effusions that cause me to have to remove large amounts of fluid (7-13L)every 2-3 weeks. Should I still try to drink the recommended 96oz of water a day on the Goodbye Lupus Protocol? Any thoughts about the recurring fluid retention? Tests show no problems with my liver, heart, or kidneys. Thanks for all you do :D

I tell everyone what I eat and why but the most common remark is "I could never do that! I can't give up my (fill in the blank). Many of us have college degrees so it is not lack of intelligence. Items like sugar I understand as an addictive substance but what concerns me is that you’re calling wild caught salmon and pasture raised eggs “addictive” foods when drs like Dr. Mark Hyman who is a legitimate functional medical director advocates having these items as part of a healthy diet including cruciferous vegetables and fruits. It’s extremely confusing.

I left a comment about Steve Jobs in particular. My husband just listened to a whole podcast about his life. He was vegan ...but ended up getting pancreatic cancer. Usually that's a death sentence, but he got the one that could be fixed and refused treatment! Then when it spread to his liver he checked which States in the US had the shortest liver donor list and just went there and got one!( Knowing he was going to die) Theyve since changed this and made a law so billionaires can't just keep someone who really needs a transplant from getting one...He was awful to his daughter and even claimed that his diet kept him from needing deodorant...resulting in many ppl he encountered to tell him to wash. It's these types of ppl that make plant based eating look bad.
