"Who knows what that stalker across the campfire really is" sent some chills down my spine. You can never get used to the Zone.
According to the lore (books), izlom(humanoid mutant with long hands) sometimes have mutation that give him only one long but very strong arm(like mantis) . these ones can speak and are actually smart. So they can trick other stalkers that they are 100% humans. So you can approach a campfire thinking that there is just a guy with wounded hand but in reality it is izlom (hiding his deformed arm under coat and bandages). And if you are not friendly with this guy, he can shoot that arm in your face, killing you.
It’s an AI
UNISG in early to mid game: mythical apex predators that can one hit kill you and are feared throughout the zone.
UNISG in late game: walking lootboxes.
"Gimme that Novgorod!"
@@oscarlundberg7462*Nosorog* brother. If im not wrong Novgorod is a city in Russia.
Oh well, that's the fate of any faction which operates up north.
During one of my UNISG playthrough I nicknamed myself "The Stalker of many faces" because I had so many disguises prepared for different scenarios where I would need to go somewhere for a task or something without being shot at.
Named my “Ghost”, I know a stalker had the name before but with all the disguises I felt like a ghost 😭
Nice! I've been considering a UNISG run myself, and I was thinking of using an Ecologist disguise because of their generally peaceful relations with other factions. It seems like a smart way to simplify things. I'd only need to add two more disguises for dealing with Bandits and Monolith or simply fight them.
My second favourite faction, after Mercenaries.
Playing as UNISG in GAMMA feels like playing as a Renegade: practically everyone hates you. It's such a big relief to get an even crappier outfit, even a loner jacket, just because it stops at least Duty, Freedom, and other Loners from pumping rounds up your ass.
Ah yes UNISG, buffed up mercs on steroids, "canonicaly" absolute units, but in base anomaly nothing more then better mercs, but in mod packs like gamma there as hard as they should be, rich motherfuckers who’s basic equipment involves a nosorog exo skelet
Yeah, there are some weird economy decisions in the base Anomaly, its ridiculous.
@@АлександрЗибик-ь5сgammas economy is even worse. i'd say even worse than misery's economy was back in the day.
@@nomenium dammit, man, and I wanted to try gamma.
@@АлександрЗибик-ь5с It's just hype. Even easier in a lot of ways than base anomaly while being worse than a custom modpack in others.
@@kylegilmore3810really?
My first encounter with ISG was in outskirts and it was something like out of a movie.
Heard a massive firefight going on and I decided to go see what loot I could scavenge, while I was making my way the sound of gun fire was slowly dying down and I was like maybe this will be a easy clean up.
When I got there I could see mutant bodies leading up to the building, first it was dogs then when I was maybe 20 yards away from entering I noticed a pseudogiant somewhat inside about 3/4 in most likely so I walked past the giants body I looked left I saw a couple of monolith guys dead in a like a foyer room so I was like ok maybe last dude bleed to death from the giant so I then looked right down the corridor past where the giant corpse was kind in front of I instantly got I pit in my stomach because there were 2 dead chimera and something was telling me that something was wrong.
I walked to the chimera bodies to see if they have been looted and they had indeed been looted so i then walked into the foyer room where i noticed the few monolith bodies earlier only to realize that there was more bodies then i had first seen. I looked around there was about 10-12 bodies just strewn about to which my sensation of something is wrong was proven correct as all the bodies had been looted.
I then proceeded to clear the first floor to see if anything was still down there but only the corpses were the only thing's down there. I proceeded to move to the second floor after clearing the first floor and only thing i was able to find was a few loose loot so i started to move up to the third floor i immediately saw another monolith soldier dead halfway on the staircase also looted and proceeded to move very slowly the rest of the way up.
I searched the third floor very carefully but I did not find anyone and i looked out the windows to see if i missed them walk out the building only see the dead dogs from earlier so i figured it was probably a fellow stalker that took the loot because i was kinda taking my time to get where im at so i went down the other staircase that lead to where the two dead chimeras were at and just as i rounded the corner from the staircase in the foyer room where the dead monolith were at stood the man i can only assume that made the mess that layed before us. When i looked at him the uniform was different and the patch i was just barely able to see was something i had never seen just seconds before he opened fire. At the time was wearing a exosuit so it's pretty tanky on damage but the rounds shredded right through and I was just barely able to pop off a stimpack and a bandage. I dont remember much else only that this dude was tanky as fuck and had a few grenades on him that luckily i narrowly avoided. By the time the fire fight had ended i was pretty much out on ammo and meds and my exosuit was getting very damaged so i went to look what he had in his inventory and figure out who he was and let me tell you this dude was loaded with loot and showed what faction he belonged to which was the ISG.
Now every play through i do i try to avoid ISG if i can if im in outskirts because of that one firefight i was in was nasty and that ISG is not to take lightly
Now imagine, if your partner suddenly turns out to be a UNISG operative, and decides to kill you in the most unpredictable of moments. Now that would be a heart attack simulator redux. Cool story, btw!
7.62x51 AP rounds beg to differ
Cool story
@user-ky1sk7kr6t You: wait it's all UNISG?
Your companion: Always has been...

Only found your channel recently through the stories you did, stuck here now, and I love it
Thanks man! Glad you liked the stories. I know I say this probably once a month but season two is currently being worked on and (please God) it will be out soon.
I keep calling them "uni sig". Still my favorite faction tho. Really hoping they have a noticeable presence in Stalker 2.
You are delusional
I dont think they are Canon
@windigo1592 they are tho, by being at least mentioned that ... instantly makes em official
@@Depressed_until_deadthey arnt canon, being mentioned doesnt mean canon, like the final day faction
I just say every letter - U N I S G
every time i play unisg ,I would keep changing my name every time i changed faction outfits for the most emersion , video idea could you cover a potential story build for unisg to do or a playthrough , give the character a made up quest larp a bit add some restrictions to only using NATO weapons or something , not talking to certain factions etc. i think it would be wicked cool, these videos are great man
My favorite faction
My first encounter with unisg was last night and boy, I thought monolith was tough...these guys are an absolute nightmare to fight. I'm kitted out beyond belief too, and they gave me hell
You can actually encounter them in Anomaly?
The only “hidden” factions I’ve encountered are Renegades and Sin.
I’m playing Merc so I think they’d be friendly to me.
@@FacePunchSammichI just got into gamma about a month ago maybe and yeah man, they are around. I found them in Jupiter the first time. Now I actively hunt them because their gear is so fire 🔥
@@Ghandicus yeah I found them too and they are not friendly to mercs unless you play as UNISG.
@@FacePunchSammich yes they are in the northern parts of the zone but usually only spawn once you get to the third storyline which is the one after sin, after beating that storyline you unlock them as a playable faction with a unique but shorter campaign thats only for them, its very hard to play as them though you have to use disguises nonstop and for the main story as a merc you will have to fight them even though they are friendly to you, but in the isg campaign itself mercs are your best friends. (i know this a late comment and you probably know this already but leaving this here for new people trying to learn about them)
Hmmm unisg meet on cordon in 2 h game....i am ecolog and this meet been big wow
Great video! It really makes you question each STALKER's motives, and what they really serve.
Nice video fren, It's good to see some new lore videos from you again. Also good words of wisdom about life in the zone, you always have to be careful who you share a campfire with.
The man said: if you encounter one of these operatives, running for your life or hiding is the only real option.. and im watching this video while dipping some of the god knows how many UNISG patches i have in my backpack in gun oil to maintain my rifles 🤣
First time I ever used the PDA statistic's tab to find and hunt stalkers I found a squad of UNISG that dropped a UNISG Nosorog. Got a spare Spartan helm from it too. Good faction nice stuff lol.
I must have been really lucky. I've killed swaths monolith and other exosuit wearing combatants. Only ever found one monolith exosuit, not even a Nosorog.
Last thing I want to complete my setup would be one of those fancy RD-39s. UNISG makes for good chase equipment.
Another very good video !
Glad you liked it bud!
So far, I've only encountered four UNISG operatives across two different playthroughs. The first was in the Pripyat Outskirts and it was just two dead operatives in the hospital. Looted them and then moved on with a lingering question of who this group was and what they stood for. Second time was in my current playthrough where I encountered two after I raided the Bandit base in the Dark Valley. Sadly, they didn't see me first before I dropped them both after quickly swapping my Gravi artifact for a Dark Insulator in the case that either managed to get a shot off at me.
I kinda want to unlock this faction... but that requires me to play through the story mode and I don't want to do that. For my first playthrough, it ended badly where I kept dying for no reason at a part where I had to wait on a door to unlock before proceeding further into the lab to continue chasing Chernobog. Straight up rage quit the story, deleted my saves, and then made a new character under the Clear Sky faction with the story disabled after a few days break from the game. Been having A LOT more fun since.
(For the record, I run Old World. So, slightly different sets of artifacts and most of them with differing effects from base Anomaly.)
In order to unlock the factions that are locked u must go to the new game menu and type isg for unisg to be unlocked and renegades for it to be unlocked and greh for sin to unlock this is not permanent the other factions is gone and u will have to type again except the unlocked faction Ur playing
@@ghostv1999 Are you a non-native speaker of English? Because that sentence is barely even coherent.
go into the starting menu, and type "isg" without clicking on anything to unlock the UNISG faction
@@w_add Is it permanent? Or just for that session and it'll go back to being locked after I close out the game?

Noticed you running ur pistol as ur secondary, with the 0.91 gamma update ive been able to have my knife just in my inventory and still be able to use it, while having a pistol or smg equiped in melee slot. Idk if thats something u knew about
These guys style on me everytime I go to pripyat 😂
First experience with UNISG? I had just turned off the Brain Scorcher and i had walked all the way back to the first outpost and i was playing as a merc but as soon as i walked out i heard smoke behind me and saw 2 ISG nosorogs and a normal troop, 1 with a m249 and the other 2 with M4s i was able to kill them with around 300 rounds of 556 fmj.
as merc unisg never shoot at me lol all other factions do though.
@@normienatoraccelerator6512 i think he just shot them not knowing who they were and assumed they didnt see him or just did it for the loot

Love the vid fren
whats the name of their camo?
Huh I had always just thought they were just a different faction of scientists
what particles/muzzle flash mod do you use

UNISG is Anomaly's version of the faction
ISG is the original Clear Sky/Anarchy Cell version.
The difference? UNISG is pure fanfiction. Almost nothing in common with the original concept. ISG on the other hand is an unfinished faction that we know pretty much nothing about from early in clear skys development.
thats actually mentioned in anomaly when playing as unisg, your boss makes it clear that isg was the "first concept" of the faction which is the real one and that they are a new and separate thing (fanfiction)
Not gonna lie, Anomaly butchered the ISG. There could be so much potential for the ISG to be implemented, since we know nothing about them aside from their origin, yet the Anomaly devs just made them "Generic bad guy enemy KOS grunts". Literally just Monolith reskins in term of gameplay
awesome video. which modpack is that?

@@HerrStrackenausf1 If you were a real fan of the series you would know that unisg was planned to be implemented into the franchise but in the end the idea was scraped. UNISG, Sin, the generators area and many other things you can find in the mods for these games were indeed planned but in the end they have never joined the cannon plot.
