No it isn’t! We enjoy living here. I believe there’s danger anywhere you go. I don’t there’s an area/city/state that’s exempt from it. However in my experience, we never had an issue nor have I ever felt unsafe at any point. We’ve lived in Hope Mills, Fayetteville and Spring Lake with NO problem…😊
During the Vietnam war, soldiers were transplanted here as their first post of duty at Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base. usually they would the Arm/Air Force would PCS or be deployed out and always end of coming back to Fort Bragg. They started families and created community which for Vietnam vets became the nick name "FayetteNam"
@@wofat6300 Nah bro! The original statement on the meaning is correct. Then when downtown got cleaned up and all the Asian, Vietnamese, and Korean gentleman's clubs went away. It too went away. 20 some odd years later it came back bc a younger generation heard stories of the name and included it into a cool statewide nickname to honor Fayville! NC across the state say Fayettenam bc a few kids want to be cool! Crime? We are no different than Charlotte, Durham, Winston Salem, and Rocky Mount. Stay in the city! Grrrrrrr!
Very Country and slow
Why do they call it Fayettenam?

@@gsxellence they call it that because of the high violence rate. Keep it real.
