I was in the 80's while in the 82nd Airborne and drove a motorcycle and a car. I basically just drove to visit family out of state. When I wasn't training or on deployment I was fishing in the waters of Ft Bragg. I really enjoyed my time there and had some great friends who were locals. Nice airport and quaint AMTRAK station. We used to go discover mom & pop BBQ places because they do it right. Glad to hear Hay st. cleaned up. The only time weather was an issue was hitting the drop zone when it was frozen at 0300 hours. Only bad memories was saying Goodbye. Thanks for sharing your video and thoughts.
Great video! It’s been about 4 months living here in Fayetteville after over 20 years being in S. Florida. Loving here every day that gets by. I believe you spoke a very true statement as far as what you’re looking for, you will find it. I can safely say that so far, I much enjoy how diverse Fayetteville is. Where I came from, there were specific pockets of concentrated wealth areas. At the beach are millionaires, before the beach are very dangerous very low income class neighborhoods, in the middle is middle/low income neighborhoods, right above that are the wealthy and past them are the other millionaires. What I love about Fayetteville is that there is a “healthy” mix scattered between. Thankfully, through our research and an amazing realtor, we picked a pretty chill spot where within the past 4 months, we haven’t heard any shootings, theft, cars being broken into and we even go out for walks at night with our pup. Of course there are the areas where I was advised to stay away from if I don’t have business being there and I’ve seen a couple places through my exploring where it was good that I drove through it so I know what’s there and I don’t have to go back. But as far as what people said to us before moving over, they called it “fayettenam”, to what I’m seeing now that I’m here, I think is all a perception of what you want it to be. Truth be told, where I’ve lived prior to here, so far, it was more dangerous then now and we were in a middle class area. We love Fayetteville and really couldn’t be happier. You were spot on everything. I also don’t really like the fact that we are on a valley so when winter comes, we don’t get as much snow as other places but all in all, it’s exactly where we wanted to be. If anyone is looking for a realtor, I highly recommend James M. Walker, realtor in Fayetteville. Look him up. I’ve dealt with a lot of people back in s Florida but the professionalism and amazing personality he brought on with him, stick with us to the point that he was my first real friend up here. Again, great video and I will definitely check out your blogs for things to do seeing that I also love driving out to all American trail area and discovering new things!
That's awesome that you're living in a good spot. It makes all the difference. Totally agree that perception makes reality too. Hope you enjoy your time in Fayetteville!
Hello! We also live here in Fayetteville. My husband is originally from s. Florida as well, and initially when he retired from the Army we were looking to buy in S. Florida, but ultimately decided to stay here and buy because we really like the location. Close enough to the coast, but far enough away to not have to deal with the rougher hurricane weather during that time of year.we really enjoy the milder weather as well. Not too cold in the winter, but summers can be 🥵🔥…..but that’s okay because that’s when we hit up the beach! Also love the proximity to Savannah, Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Wilmington. Thankfully our neighborhood is quiet and full of retired military. We are on the border of Fayetteville though, near Raeford…..close to Gillis Hill. Skibo is avoided by us as well lol.
@@christinabrown6442 Neat! That’s where we looked as well for houses when we moved up here but at the time, most homes border of Fayetteville (Raeford/rockfish) would not last more then a day for sale and most of not all we’re all cash offers. But we really enjoy Fayetteville. I suppose we are on a nicer part of it so I honestly have not yet once heard any issues or have seen any neighborhood problems within the last 5 months. I’ll take the heat here over s Florida any day.
I currently live in Florida ( Spacecoast area) and we are looking into moving to Fayetteville and scared there wouldn’t be diversity. Love hearing you are enjoying living there gives me motivation to go and look at properties in person! Any areas you recommend?
@@LolaDelMarCaribe lol we just had international festival which was this whole weekend. Aaran Hills, Hope Mills, Raeford those are all towns within Fayetteville that are nice. Some areas close to Ramsey Rd / MacArthur area is nice also, Spring Hill is another nice town. We’ve been here for a year now and I maintain what I said over 5 months ago. I have the news app for the area and Raleigh/Durham area seem to have a lot of heat going on. Raleigh is bigger and more metropolitan of an area but we were looking for a quieter place and Fayetteville was just that. I’m surrounded by nice neighbors and haven’t heard anything happen in the neighborhood within a year. Matter of fact, my next door neighbor has been here for over 20 years, he’ll go o it of town and leave his garage door open lol. Said no one’s ever broke in or had any incidents happen here. We had heard plenty of bad mouth towards Fayetteville before we decided. But I suggest actually taking a week off (maybe two if possible), come down here, stay in a hotel and explore the area. If you need a realtor I can recommend one, the same guy that we got our house through and for the first time ever, my realtor and I are friends to this day. Rockfish is another nice area. If you’re looking for a super busy life and need to be surrounded by people everywhere you go, Charlotte and Raleigh are much better choices. I mean where I am I still have Harris Teeter (it’s like Publix here lol), 1 publix lol, Walmart, target, Best Buy, cvs, walgreen, all fast food restaurants (only thing we don’t have here that we had in Florida was Popeyes chicken lol), international foods (mexican, Peruvian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Colombian, Jamaican, Indian, Thai….list goes on) and it’s all literally at most a 15 min drive. The BEST thing we like living here is traffic. Traffic here is never bad in comparison with Raleigh or Charlotte. It’ll get busy but it’s nothing like west palm Florida busy lol.
Highly appreciated your perspective and suggestions! My fam and I are visiting this weekend so hope to NOT experience the bad driving but def wanna try one of those delicious sounding restaurants! THX!
I'm a Fayetteville native and have lived here over 70 years. Your blog was awesome. I thought you were very fair and objective, and it was so entertaining! I especially agree with your assessment of driving/drivers. I see the things you mentioned every time I drive....and the speeding!!!! Welcome to my city and welcome to NC!! I can't wait to watch more of your blogs.
Fayetteville is my hometown. You were so kind about your video, lol. I do love North Carolina. Fayetteville isn't the best town, but you're right it's a location that allows you to be within driving distances to cool places.
I appreciate this video. It's very important to know about these issues before visiting or relocating to the area. I've had similar issues in Houston and the people there behave in a way they feel it's acceptable to live with low standards. No one seems to bring up the toxic issues of the city of Houston in their RUclips video's about Houston. Thank you for not hiding the true issues.
Thanks so much! I always hate when I'm looking for info on a place and people give one sided views or just skip over important parts of living/visiting somewhere so I try to share as much as possible.
@@KatieShowBlog You keep it real and not give the top 5-10 same reasons others are copying off one another. Those types of issues you dealt with are exactly, of many reasons, why I moved from Houston, TX. I never felt comfortable anywhere I went, not even stopping at a traffic light because people would approach the vehicle and ask for money or try to wash the windshield for money. They would yell profanity if you try to deter them. Crime and hit-and-runs are very common there along with many other issues. I'm not interested in repeating history. Thanks again. I hope you find a place where you enjoy and feel safe.
Great video. I think the 'welcomeness' in NC is still largely there since its still a fairly affordable place and places like Fort Bragg house Americans from all over the country. Compared to out west or other areas of the country that have seen local priced out, people aren't as friendly to newcomers as much then. Thanks for your videos. I enjoy your perspective on the area.
Ah, yes...Skibo. Sky🎀 is the pronunciation. It's Scottish I usually hear it as ⛷️🎀 Skee-bow from non locals Fayetteville is definitely making efforts to clean up it's act. Theres been quite a bit that divided the area throughout its history (including laws not allowing the area to expand, so it's very non cohesive) I haven't checked out your blog yet, but if you're interested in a history adventure, the downtown history museum is worth the trip. It won't necessarily explain the horrendous driving. It's not strictly an American thing, there's definitely something different in a bad way about the Fayetteville drivers 😅
The thing that has always driven me crazy since I've been in Fayetteville, NC is all the many many many many many double left and double right turn all over the city and also on Fort Bragg, in Raeford, Hope Mills, and Spring Lake people always cut you off, and get mad when you blow the horn, showing we almost had a wreck, and they just give the finger and say FY.
The Bourbon Orleans downtown is amazing as well! Delicious food and great atmosphere! Have yet to try Gaston’s Brewery, but it’s definitely on our list as well as Friends Table. Huske Hardware has great food as well. Love their Sunday brunches.
I live in Fayetteville as well on the outskirts bordering Raeford. We bought our home here after my husband retired from the military. We have lived in much larger cities and seen way more crime than people describe here in Fayetteville. I agree, drivers here are ridiculous.
Word of advice. If you need medical care.. Avoid CFV Hoke hospital. Its a urgent care clinic at best. Suck it up and go to CFVMC in Fayetteville. All Hoke will do is transfer you there anyway. Save yourself 2 emergency room visits expences.
Avoid Cape Fear (Death) Valley Hospitals at all costs. Especially CFVMC in Fayetteville. Go to Moore Regional, or Betsy Johnson in Lillington. Cape Fear Valley will kill you- that why locals/natives to Fayetteville call it Cape Fear Death Valley. Wait- I forgot- Betsy Johnson was taken over by CFVMC, nevermind.
I've lived here since I was 7, I've seen the good and bad parts of Fayetteville. I was actually a good driver but I chose to longer dive because of too much stress. The summer is my worst complaint so humid and hot. Fayetteville is like the open ocean I have lived in the hood areas, I lived in Bonnie Dune for 6 years and never had a problem. I now live in the suburbs off Strikland Bridge Rd. but Fayetteville is an a unique place.
I been here my whole life. Fayetteville well technically Godwin 😂 and maybe I'm just used to all the crack heads and the lifestyle so it doesn't bother me at all. 😂 But u made me laugh so hard and I concur that you are probably not wrong about the dislikes. My road rage is massive and I see I am not alone in how I feel on that spectrum. But the diversity and the love of sharing our state from us Fayetteville people probably has much to do with fort Bragg. So many diff people from all over in and out. Majority of Fayetteville most likely aren't even born here. Imo. But I never hated it. I love it! Moved to Wilmington for ten years and couldn't wait to get back. Truth! So I'm glad u found us inviting bc I deff think we are. Hope life blesses you in so many more ways! Ur amazing. Thanks for ur videos!
I lived there for over a decade and I never saw anything remotely close to yours lol. Life for me was so much more mundane. Weather was so bipolar in the winter.
You always do an awesome job with these vlogs and your blog! Glad you have been able to find a few positives about the area. 🙂 For future exploring, I wonder if you would be interested in how NC has contributed to film industry. Can visit what's left of the train wreck from The Fugitive in mtns, Mt. Airy was the basis for Mayberry and The Andy Griffith Show, Wilmington and Southport have been home to scenes from One Tree Hill, Nicholas Sparks films, Matlock, Dawson's Creek, Divine Secrets of Ya Ya Sisterhood, Hart of Dixie. Sure I missed plenty. Even if you haven't seen those, it could be neat to match the place that was on film in person, and then put it back on film...or the SD card...lol! Happy Travels!
This is the worst version of a city I have ever lived in. It's not even a great large town. I don't like it at all. I lived in rural Ohio, small town Ohio, suburb of Michigan, two small cities in Michigan, small city in Ohio, large metropolitan area of Illinois, and 3 military towns. Military towns are my least favorite areas to live. I've also been to 40 states
You'll like Fayetteville NC, I was born and raised in the Bronx in the 70's, joined the army was stationed at FT. Bragg NC, retired now I enjoy Fayetteville its not that bad, just respect people, I rather live in Fayetteville NC than the Bronx. I can go to the base Commissary, PX, they love the veterans.
Loved this video! I’m moving to Fayetteville next month for my job. Was hoping to see if you had any recommendations on apartments in safer locations? Thank you 🙂
Just off the top of my head, I'd avoid anything around Skibo, the airport area, around the mall, and Owen Drive area. Over by Jack Britt is nicer, Hope Mills (not on the edge of it but actually in Hope Mills) is nicer, and there's a nice area around where LeClairs General Store is (I think it's called Haymount but not 100%). I know it's not always possible, but if you can see the area before you sign a lease, I'd definitely recommend that. Hope that helps!
There's transplant everywhere Cape, I'm from NYC and go to Florida you'll many people are northerners who moved to Florida, so it depends on what you do to make your life better, Fayetteville NC is allot better than the Bronx my friend.
Girl you hit this right on the money .. I’m born and raised in Fayetteville nc we call it Fayettenam.. I love it tho it’s my home but it’s getting worse and starting to piss me off .. all the homeless people now it’s ridiculous after COVID the bums are times x10 it’s 2024 now bums coming in n buses from up north this is crazy . But Fayetteville is amazing I never want to live anywhere else 😊😊
If you lived in the Philippines and see how they drive here you'll appreciate driving in the USA, I grew up in the Bronx, I thought driving was hell there, wrong, come to the Philippines you'll be shocked at how they drive, I retired from the Army was stationed at FT. Bragg NC, driving is not that bad just be patient, I never had any issues with driving, I like Florida but the weather there is too hot, NC weather is nice, mild winter hardly any snow, people in NC appreciate veterans, its allot cheaper than Florida. In NYC you have drugs and poverty, just treat people nicely and they'll respect you. This doesn't happen often, come to the Bronx and see crime is really bad.
Ok … so I was out visiting different areas you know ,researching what area to move in .and by god on my way home a entire 18 wheeler almost took me and my mom out 😤!! My mom was full blown freaking out .. I sipped my strawberry lemonade from Wendy’s & was like hang tight woman it’s going to get bumpy .needless to say we really did a number to the emergency shoulder (but we live another day )
Fayetteville is one of the worst towns in America....Unless you're active duty military it makes no sense to move there....Super high crime, lots of burglaries, terrible job prospects, and nasty people.
Im from New York and I’ve been living in Las Vegas since ‘08 and im looking to move to Fayetteville/Spring Lake area and this video helps so much ! And im a foodie too so thank you for including food 😂💛✨
I'm currently in Fayetteville. Originally from Hope Mills, North Carolina. But I've also lived in New York (Buffalo, Plattsburg/Champlain) and Las Vegas! So did you move here? I need an update 😆
So, is better to be in Fayetteville or do you miss more Vicenza? Just to let you know, down town, near the Library close to Gillespie street, there is a statue (stone) done in Vicenza in the 18th century.
That's so cool, I didn't know that. For me, I prefer North Carolina but it's only because the visa restrictions were horrible in Italy (particularly for me since I'm not a US citizen.) Other than that, I liked the lifestyle in Italy more but those restrictions just caused too much stress and restricted my freedom and independence more than I care for.
Hi! We will be moving at Fayetteville by end of July and we are rooting for Treetop Apartments at Greenleaf Dr area. Is this a safe place for our family to live? Your response would mean so much for us.
Any suggestions for a safe and quite affordable apartment near Lewis Chapel Middle School (along Skibo where my wife will soon teach) is highly appreciated as well.
I don't think you'd find anything quiet around that area because Skibo and Raeford are big main roads. I wouldn't like to live there personally but it really all depends on your perspective. Over by Jack Britt is nicer, Hope Mills (not on the edge of it but actually in Hope Mills) is nicer, and there's a nice area around where LeClairs General Store is (I think it's called Haymount but not 100%).
I live in Fayetteville on Cliffdale road. This place is a DUMP.. There is crime everywhere. Homeless everywhere. I live in a gated neighborhood and the homeless live by the pond in the gazebo. There is nothing here except car dealerships and restaurants. Only reason why I'm here is because I inherited a home. They don't call it Fayetnam for nothing.
People are better off living in Harnett County in the country. Don't go to Fayetteville for shopping. Go to Lillington. Much nicer, friendly country people. I grew up in Harnett County. I'm moving to Mexico to start a farm and open a small general good store. And people say Mexico is bad but there aren't blk people there.. I don't care what anyone says. They turned Fayetteville into a ghetto.. Drive down Bragg BLVD at night.. Blk dudes built like basketball players wearing mini skirts and makeup getting picked up by your military husbands for quickies.. Thats why they all gather near the base.
Hi katie! thank you for sharing what fayettville has been like for you~~ I'm moving down there soon and was wondering if you know what places to avoid for renting, and what places would be the best?
Thanks for watching! So just off the top of my head, I'd avoid anything around Skibo, the airport area, around the mall, and Owen Drive area. I've lived in fayetteville nearly 35 years ... I've never experienced anything like you have ... naked man in the street, dead body, head on collison ... smh .. none of it ... Stay safe tho.
Well im from Turkey and i plan to move there next year , should i seriously be alerted about crime rate there ? I really want to know cuz i already live in a crime rate high area here in Istanbul gangs drugs and traffic rage are not worrying me at all i wanna know is do i need a registered gun 😂
Age there's crime in every state, in Fayetteville NC I never had any issues, most of the crimes are directed at gangs, drug dealers, people treat you with respect, I'm from New York City there's allot more crime here but again don't disrespect anyone. Cheap to live, no toll roads, free parking unlike NYC. Good Luck Ege welcome to the USA.
@@eddiesaninocencio7486 Thank you sir for the info, ill mind my own business not planing to disturb anyone or any community at all🙌🏾 its a new culture and a new start
Up to you on whether you want a gun or not but I do recommend paying attention to your surroundings and using some common sense when it comes to your safety precautions. Hope you have a good time there!
There is nothing to love about Fayetteville, its a crap town. I have no idea, of what job, that made you move there. Many other NC cities like Raleigh, Charlotte, or maybe even Greensboro would benefit more. Good luck.
Its Americans as a whole. but i will say North Carolina got some of the speedier drivers haha. Me included (you prolly seen a lil nissan sentra flying by you on hope mills rd or morganton I dont drive bad though im pretty careful unless someone piss me off
Pedro come live in the Bronx, it's really bad here, I'm a retired Army disabled veteran, I was stationed at FT. Bragg, its allot better and safer than the Bronx trust me on that, its what you do to make your better, so a few negative comments shouldn't discourage you from moving to Fayetteville, do your research many soldiers retire in Fayetteville NC, so come January 2023 I'm moving back to Fayetteville NC, NYC is too expensive for my pension, toll bridges, parking is hell, apt rentals are horrendous, a 1 bedroom apt in the Bronx which is hood will cost you $1500 plus, you can rent a nice house in Fayetteville for that amount, price of groceries in NYC is expensive, good luck hope you'll like it there.
Sky-Bo. And frfr DO NOT GO TO THE WALMART ON SKIBO LMAO. But wait can we be friends im 22 and idk how old you are but im best friends with my mom so i branch from 19-44 LMAO
Lifelong reaident of Fayetteville and I agree with all of your comments! I would add for the dislikes the overcrowding/population density (it heavily contributes to the traffic and poverty though...) and I would move weather over to likes, but I can sympathize with and understand your reasoning for disliking it. I have a son with eczema and it has been much more difficult to control with the erratic weather and humidity here. Like AND dislike for being a military town... it brings diversity to our area in food and culture, we love meeting new military members and dependents in the community. The dislikes are additional overcrowding/traffic/crime, since we are are a more open base and the constant booms 💥 and helicopters/ C-130 air traffic from military exercises in the field. If you have a skittish pet or are a light sleeper, this could be an issue. 😉
Thanks for sharing! Oh yeah, the constant booms were a bit of a shock at first. I forgot that one. Sometimes it would make my apartment shake and it was a bit of a shock at first! Thanks so much for watching my video too :D
You're wrong, maybe you haven't been overseas, I retired from FT. Bragg, come to the Philippines and see first hand how driving is, you'll be shocked, if you cannot come here go to RUclips look up driving in the Philippines and see, in Manila if you go 3-4 KLMs it will take you @ 2-3+ hours, Filipinos are irresponsible drivers, you'll appreciate Fayetteville, also I come from the Bronx, come here and drive for yourself. Come January 2023 I'm leaving the Philippines back to the USA.
Here's rule of thumb for North Carolina. Do your homework thoroughly on the politicians and their policies. This is actually becoming a hitler ran State pay attention to the new laws that I've been coming across. You will see the prejudice taken a ride away from women. Gerry mandering like crazy. Pay attention to where you're moving at tons of corruption in the political realm. And it is not for the people
Driving advice not helpful. People watching this video are looking to move to Fayetteville. We need knfo about the city and whatbits like to live there. People drive like this all over NC. We know the weather! Cmon lady
Maybe it's not that it's not a helpful video and more that it wasn't suited to you. In any case it's *my* subjective video on what *I* loved and didn't love about Fayetteville anyway
I lived in Fayetteville for over30 yrs couldnt wait to get out of there and moved to Rockingham back in October 2022 now I wish I still lived there lol Fayetteville is paradise compared to rockingham

They would yell profanity if you try to deter them. Crime and hit-and-runs are very common there along with many other issues. I'm not interested in repeating history. Thanks again. I hope you find a place where you enjoy and feel safe.
I just moved here 3 months ago from NYC and I'm always looking for interesting things to do. Thanks for this video, I'll check out your suggestions.
I posted lots of guides on things to do on my website and I hope they can help! Thanks for watching my video :D
I am in Brooklyn and considering moving there...Can see getting bored quick but the peace, quiet and affordability must be nice
Thanks for the vid. I just moved here and appreciate your perspective!
That's so great to hear! Thank you!
Cycling and skating places is so easy and nice with how flat the area is
No the hell it isn't. There are no sidewalks
That makes sense. Thanks so much for watching!
U are right on about the driving there, no doubt about it!
Craziest I've ever seen!
@@KatieShowBlog because we have people from all 50 states in one city still driving as if they were in their home state.
Ah, yes...Skibo.
Sky🎀 is the pronunciation. It's Scottish
I usually hear it as ⛷️🎀 Skee-bow from non locals
Fayetteville is definitely making efforts to clean up it's act. Theres been quite a bit that divided the area throughout its history (including laws not allowing the area to expand, so it's very non cohesive)
I haven't checked out your blog yet, but if you're interested in a history adventure, the downtown history museum is worth the trip.
It won't necessarily explain the horrendous driving. It's not strictly an American thing, there's definitely something different in a bad way about the Fayetteville drivers 😅
Thank you! I hope Fayetteville continues to keep getting better. It is a really nice place - but I am glad I don’t have to drive there anymore lol
Awesome video i moved to Fayetteville two years ago from New York you are so spot on everywhere has good and bad points so far I’m loving it here 👍🏾
Glad to hear you’re loving it. Good and bad like everywhere but a lot to enjoy that’s for sure. Thanks for watching my video!
what about bugs?
The thing that has always driven me crazy since I've been in Fayetteville, NC is all the many many many many many double left and double right turn all over the city and also on Fort Bragg, in Raeford, Hope Mills, and Spring Lake people always cut you off, and get mad when you blow the horn, showing we almost had a wreck, and they just give the finger and say FY.
Yep can definitely relate to that!
what about bugs?
The Bourbon Orleans downtown is amazing as well! Delicious food and great atmosphere! Have yet to try Gaston’s Brewery, but it’s definitely on our list as well as Friends Table. Huske Hardware has great food as well. Love their Sunday brunches.
Sounds great!
what about bugs?
I live in Fayetteville as well on the outskirts bordering Raeford. We bought our home here after my husband retired from the military. We have lived in much larger cities and seen way more crime than people describe here in Fayetteville. I agree, drivers here are ridiculous.
That's awesome - you must live in a nice area.
what about bugs?
I’m sorry this was only 3 weeks ago but this is the most Fayetteville description ever 😂 and I’m only 6:30 minutes in!!
:D :D
Who recommended Fayetteville to u? A lot of Fayetteville consist of getto projects. U may feel better in Hope Mills, or Raeford.
I think you're right but they weren't an option when I moved there unfortunately
We have zip lining out here too in Harnett county!
Awesome!
😂😂😂😂😂 im sorry but your review was much needed and thank you
Thank you for watching it!
Word of advice. If you need medical care.. Avoid CFV Hoke hospital. Its a urgent care clinic at best. Suck it up and go to CFVMC in Fayetteville. All Hoke will do is transfer you there anyway.
Save yourself 2 emergency room visits expences.
Good to know, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing! It's definitely unique and I like the phrase you said ' Fayetteville is like the open ocean'
what about bugs?
Perhaps I had some interesting luck lol
You just made the decision easy for me about a possible contract there. I will not be going.
Don’t move to Fayetteville move to hope mills or grays creek
That's an awesome idea, I'll have to see what I can put together. Thanks for watching my videos too!
Facts, always rushing to nowhere 😒. Can't wait to get out of here lol
Rushing to nowhere is such a good way to put it!
Why you want to move???
This is the worst version of a city I have ever lived in. It's not even a great large town. I don't like it at all. I lived in rural Ohio, small town Ohio, suburb of Michigan, two small cities in Michigan, small city in Ohio, large metropolitan area of Illinois, and 3 military towns. Military towns are my least favorite areas to live. I've also been to 40 states
I am moving to the Fayetteville area in August! Thank you so much for this !
Thanks so much for watching!!
How are you liking it so far?
Probably sucks huh?!
Dud you make the move? If so how do you like it?
Use to be a nice state. Overcrowded now with the trans plants moving in. We're gone.
There's transplant everywhere Cape, I'm from NYC and go to Florida you'll many people are northerners who moved to Florida, so it depends on what you do to make your life better, Fayetteville NC is allot better than the Bronx my friend.
@@eddiesaninocencio7486 Most of these are Trumpers. Want nothing to do them them, including the entire south.
Good luck with your next chapter!
Thank You!!!
You're welcome!
The video isn't about the Philippines though lol
great video!!
Thank you!
2 1/2 hours myrtle beach...4 hrs atlanta
Thanks for sharing!
That's a long drive
Ok … so I was out visiting different areas you know ,researching what area to move in .and by god on my way home a entire 18 wheeler almost took me and my mom out 😤!! My mom was full blown freaking out .. I sipped my strawberry lemonade from Wendy’s & was like hang tight woman it’s going to get bumpy .needless to say we really did a number to the emergency shoulder (but we live another day )
Wow! That must've been scary! I'm glad you guys didn't get any serious injuries or anything
hi i hope you all are doing well you might enjoy nanci griffith singer all the best
sounds like how people drive here in north last vegas. Love your video! do you still live there?
No I don’t live there anymore
I’m moving to the Fayetteville state in like 19 days 😳 but ur video definitely cooled a lot of my worries
My family is moving there next month.. I am kinda skeptic with some of the videos that I see. But this video isn't so bad.
Thanks!
Fayetteville is one of the worst towns in America....Unless you're active duty military it makes no sense to move there....Super high crime, lots of burglaries, terrible job prospects, and nasty people.
Hahaha this is south for your :) driving here is pretty “relaxed” hahha
Can you do a video or talk about schools on your blog?
Good idea, though I don't have kids so I am definitely not an expert on that. Just try to talk about my own experiences
That's why I don't live in Fayetteville! Benn in NC since 95! Love it here but out in the country!
It must be peaceful out there
This is so accurate
:D
Haha so funny.. welcome to Fayetteville..
Im from New York and I’ve been living in Las Vegas since ‘08 and im looking to move to Fayetteville/Spring Lake area and this video helps so much ! And im a foodie too so thank you for including food 😂💛✨
I have a couple of blog posts on my websites with fav places for brunch and lunch too that might help you get started! Thanks for watching!
Not worth it. But do at your own caution. Only advice for that.
How is this area 1908 Tryon Dr
Fayetteville ?
I am not 100% sure, sorry
I'm moving there soon...just kinda curious what zip code do you live in??
28348
I moved to high point a few years ago and it seems like most of your negatives are North Carolina in general.
Interesting!
Cool
Thanks!
Australia to Fayetteville?
With a few other stops before Fayetteville
Over by Jack Britt is nicer, Hope Mills (not on the edge of it but actually in Hope Mills) is nicer, and there's a nice area around where LeClairs General Store is (I think it's called Haymount but not 100%). Yadkin Rd and skibo isnt bad btw
Been here 18 years girl LMAO
if you like beer go to dirt bag ales i hate beer but they stuff SMACK
DBA is awesome!
I've lived in fayetteville nearly 35 years ... I've never experienced anything like you have ... naked man in the street, dead body, head on collison ... smh .. none of it ... Stay safe tho.
Maybe I just had some interesting luck lol
Pretty decent city. 👌
It was nice for a short stay but I don't think I could live there long term
Yeah it's ok
Why do you say that?
I want to move here my family lives in Clinton but I want to live
Hope you get to sometime
I’m from Clinton , NC too. Horrible and boring town. Fayetteville is much better
What about Carlson bay apartments?
I don't know about those apartments sorry
@@KatieShowBlog alright thank you
What year was this posted
2022
Hope you have a good time there!
gurllll theres NOTHING to do but i prolly think that cause i been here 18 years and done everything haah
Yeah that is a long time to be there so I get that
what about bugs?
There is nothing to love about Fayetteville, its a crap town. I have no idea, of what job, that made you move there. Many other NC cities like Raleigh, Charlotte, or maybe even Greensboro would benefit more. Good luck.
Haha, well I think there is something good about every place so I try to find that and focus on it. Thanks so much for watching!
Born in that mass
Oh no
Its Americans as a whole. but i will say North Carolina got some of the speedier drivers haha. Me included (you prolly seen a lil nissan sentra flying by you on hope mills rd or morganton
I dont drive bad though im pretty careful unless someone piss me off
Haha
Agree they are not very active drivers especially the trucks and SUVs
Asleep at the wheel!
SO THIS CITY IS A BAD CRIME RATE
True - it was definitely weird to listen to gunshots most nights
Pedro come live in the Bronx, it's really bad here, I'm a retired Army disabled veteran, I was stationed at FT. Bragg, its allot better and safer than the Bronx trust me on that, its what you do to make your better, so a few negative comments shouldn't discourage you from moving to Fayetteville, do your research many soldiers retire in Fayetteville NC, so come January 2023 I'm moving back to Fayetteville NC, NYC is too expensive for my pension, toll bridges, parking is hell, apt rentals are horrendous, a 1 bedroom apt in the Bronx which is hood will cost you $1500 plus, you can rent a nice house in Fayetteville for that amount, price of groceries in NYC is expensive, good luck hope you'll like it there.
yes. we multi-task while driving a lot. lmao
always doing alllll the things lol
@@KatieShowBlog ❤️
Sky-Bo. And frfr DO NOT GO TO THE WALMART ON SKIBO LMAO. But wait can we be friends im 22 and idk how old you are but im best friends with my mom so i branch from 19-44 LMAO
Lol I never went there! I don't live in Fay anymore though
Thanks so much for watching my video too :D
what about bugs?
I live in Fayetteville and this place has the worst drivers in the world, not very safe.
Scary unsafe and unpredictable
You're wrong, maybe you haven't been overseas, I retired from FT. Bragg, come to the Philippines and see first hand how driving is, you'll be shocked, if you cannot come here go to RUclips look up driving in the Philippines and see, in Manila if you go 3-4 KLMs it will take you @ 2-3+ hours, Filipinos are irresponsible drivers, you'll appreciate Fayetteville, also I come from the Bronx, come here and drive for yourself. Come January 2023 I'm leaving the Philippines back to the USA.
Facts, speeding to nowhere. Lol
Can't wait to leave
True!
Thats all of NC with driving like they the only one on the road and aggressive driving also.😂🤣
Crazy!!
You are way to classy and educated for Fayetteville, miss.
:D :D :D
Here's rule of thumb for North Carolina. Do your homework thoroughly on the politicians and their policies. This is actually becoming a hitler ran State pay attention to the new laws that I've been coming across. You will see the prejudice taken a ride away from women. Gerry mandering like crazy. Pay attention to where you're moving at tons of corruption in the political realm. And it is not for the people
No job 🔥 hot 🥵
Driving advice not helpful. People watching this video are looking to move to Fayetteville. We need knfo about the city and whatbits like to live there. People drive like this all over NC.
We know the weather! Cmon lady
Maybe it's not that it's not a helpful video and more that it wasn't suited to you. In any case it's *my* subjective video on what *I* loved and didn't love about Fayetteville anyway
True but not all people drive recklessly, don't get upset for a few irresponsible drivers, you have auto insurance, no need to worry.
I lived in Fayetteville for over30 yrs couldnt wait to get out of there and moved to Rockingham back in October 2022 now I wish I still lived there lol Fayetteville is paradise compared to rockingham
Damn that's saying something
