I have just recently started my salah and commitment to Islam after years of sin after sin, and I'm still not where I should or want to be but alhamdulilah i am progressing. Whilst I was turning towards deen I discovered your videos brother hijab and your debates with atheists etc. Allah has blessed you with knowledge and a platform to share and educate. Thank you for these videos as well as this one, it was sick lol My next book lists are philosophy and theology as I'm well versed now in history and politics. Wether you read this or not, you are a great role model to young muslims such as I and I will make dua that you can do this for us for years to come in sha allah.

I watched the tv series Westworld and it made me draw comparisons between humans and robots. What if humans are made of resources that are at the disposals of superior beings/being just like how robots are made of resources at our disposal. We think we are conscious of our thoughts and actions but maybe those are just programmed scenarios just like how we program robots. These are very farfetched and some might call stupid thoughts, but i do think of things like that. So to answer your question, i think in my eye its a damage of property in both cases, its just that one is seen as murder (crime) and the other isn’t.
