You can’t think of it from a sad negative emotion. Your babies are with you and memories will still be made. Imagine the parents who’ve experienced the loss of a baby or can’t have children. So relish each moment and enjoy every age in their life. You’re truly blessed with them forever.

I want to tell you something awesome. Our kids are 18, 17, and 15 years old. The boys are the two older and my daughter is the youngest. None of our kids have stopped hugging me ever. If you keep a good relationship with them as they grow, they still come back to you looking for that comfort and reassurance and unconditional love. My 18yr old gives me big long hugs and this year he started getting choked up and telling me he is nervous about being an adult and possibly having to move for a job. For as long as you treasure your kids the way that you already do, they will keep coming to you as that safe reassuring home base of love.

I agree with this. I was & still am one of those “kids” that loves my parents. I cried myself to sleep the night before my wedding, after I realized that it would be the last time we’d be able to tell each other good night, hug, & see each other the next day.😢 I’m a mom of three. My oldest is 19 & already out of our home🙈, I have a 16 & 11 year old that I try to enjoy every day we have together. We’ve always had our kids home with us, we homeschool, & I am so thankful for that privilege to spend all of our time together.

It literally is this way for probably the rest of their ( your children's) life!!! I absolutely LOVED my littles as 0-4 year olds...but I equally LOVED my little beings as elementary schoolers...WOW we had so much fun together. Cherish Every Single Day. Be the room parent at school. Sign up as volunteers in their activities and school life. ITS THE ABSOLUTE BEST! We are blessed to be a part of their little lives.
Make their food. Make it organic. Eliminate all the crap. Go on long simple days together. VIDEO everything! Take time off!!! Go on a road trip. YOU GUYS ARE BEAUTIFUL. I love your vulnerability and sweetness. Awesome parents.

As a mum of 3, 16yr, 14yr and 10yr old I completely understand how you are feeling. Every birthday made me so so sad, because I knew they were getting older. I lost my oldest brother a couple of years ago and it made me realise how precious time is. Love your babies, they are only little once, but they will always need you!! Each stage they go through will bring more challenges and wonderful moments!! The best is yet to come, I promise!

Hope you will read this comment. I feel the same way too!! I have felt it the moment he was born. First, i felt sad about the pregnancy being over, because its such a magical time. But then i just felt that i don't want the time pass and for him to grow up. After a lot of searching inside myself, i realized that part of it has to do with me dont want to grow up and that this amazing time in my life to be over. He is just so cute and beautiful that i dont want it to pass. I loveeee to watch him become more and more smart , i can just be with him all day ( well almost haha, need some time for myself). I love him more than words can ever say. He was growing inside my belly and we were one, so for me its a lot.
But again, its not only the fear of seeing him become older, its also me, and the fact that everything is temporary, also us.

that. You're both blessed and so wise beyond your years, cause you already realize how fast your Little's will be grown up. Just enjoy every minute you can with them and you will be so proud of them as they grow up, cause of all the love you give them now ❤️ God bless your family. 🙏💕💕

As a mother of 5 who’s kids are almost 10, almost 9, 6, 2, and 1, I can assure you that as much as it seems heartbreaking that those 4 years are so short, after 4/5 is equally amazing in totally new and different ways. The new ways you can bond with your kids as they get older still baffles me. And seeing them grow and how amazing they are and are becoming and knowing that you had some part in shaping that by the experiences you had with them and how much you love them. It’s just such a blessing and miraculous.

Awww I'm a Mama of 5 boys yes 5 boys I am 37 years old and have fought so deeply hard to be a stay at home mother and so far I have be greatly blessed to do so. Last year I jumped into homeschooling FINALLY something else I have always wanted to do. Let me give a tip, take it all in keep capturing every single memory and moment. Always say yes if you can and if you can't incorporate them into what you have to do then get to it. I also say always take pictures but DEVELOP THEM make a photo box 📦 fill it with the developed pictures with many copies, save cards and drawings keep it all in the box and pull it put with them and go down memory lane often my kids pull those boxes out on there own now and take what they want talk about the memories from their perspective. It's so special. You won't forget they won't forget. Time is a gift 🎁 and everyday you can give that to them and they will carry it on. I don't have one photo of my Dad and myself together not one. It's hard has he's in heaven. So I get this deeply. As a mama of all boys they change but the Bond REMAINS THE SAME!!! Trust me it will change in ways but always stay and be the same. There isn't anything wrong with staying close and being close. And it will all work out perfectly imperfect. Sending hellos from Wasilla Alaska,
    Tschandra
I had to stop myself or I would write a book 📖 hugs

Ooooh, man! Its the first time I see so young people coming to understand this so early. Most parents have no clue.
Every time I see a new mom or dad, I tell them. Dwell in every moment with your kids, study them, listen to them, smell them, kiss them, talk, sing, watch, carry them, ...
...because in a short moment your baby will run out the door minding their own business, and before you know it, you have no clue where they are, with whome or why, because they are suddenly grown planning their own day...
I woke up when I had to ask my kids where they had been today.
I have raised my own 2 kids, plus my first grandchild. Last one turned 18 in 2022.
    Soon leaving to the army.
My children are turning 39 and 41 this year. And they have no clue on how I miss my babies.
But that is life...they are growing old, and now my kids treats me like I'm a sweet little girl, ...even my grandson does that.
My smallest grandchild is a girl turning 5 in february. I am sooo much enjoying her when she sleeps over....because I know, that very soon " in a couple of nano seconds" she will be buzy all over the place in her life. And before I know it....I'll be a greatgrandmother. 🫢🤣
Oh, you have no clue how fast life goes... it was just Yesterday when I was a teenager singing and dancing with ABBA and young Olivia Newton John, ...it was yesterday when I learned I was pregnant with my son, at the same time Lady Diana was pregnant expecting William.
We both got both our children in 1982 and 1984.
    It was yesterday!!!
Yet now my daughter will turn 39 and her son, my grandson will be 19 in April!
I have seen 2 boys turn to men with hairy faces and in the need for shaving devices.
Guys, life runs sooooo fast...!!! You already know...and thank you for telling other young people who yet not have any babies. God bless you both and your beautiful children .
Greetings from Norway on the first day in 2023. 👑💜 Happy new year!

Instead of looking at it as a sad time, look at it as a happy time! Don’t think: They’ll never be little again, what if they don’t need me anymore etc. Instead think: I can’t wait to cherish every new stage and every new moment with these kids! I get to watch them grow and become the people they’re going to be! And don’t worry because no matter how old they get, they always need you! Even if they don’t admit it!

This is so sweet & touching! As a mama of an 18-year old daughter, your children will continue to create moments worth remembering. It’s hard to imagine the future, but I’ll tell you that all of the stages are amazing!
My one piece of advice is to be interested in whatever they are interested in…even if it seems ridiculous. Make time to learn about their interests, it will show your love & caring about them, it will give you things to talk about. I learned about beyblades, Pokémon, Harry Potter, theater/Broadway, music, volunteering at school, etc. I love my daughter’s friends and they are always welcome in my home….if you feed them, they will come! My peanut is leaving me for college in the fall and I’m thrilled for her to spread her wings, but secretly heartbroken.🥰

It is heartbreaking that these magical years go so fast, but that's what makes them so special. I have teens and I would do anything to go back in time when they were this little. However, you'll see as they get older how much joy you'll get from seeing them grow, too. You have sooo many "firsts" with them still. The joy to see them accomplish things, to see what good people they are, to grow into the people they are becoming and to see them excited for life beyond just you is actually indescribable. I always feared these years as well, but some of the time I spend with them now is my favorite! I love who they are and where they are going. Also, you'll raise wonderful kids who will always love to spend time with you!

We grieve the moment they’re born; as mommy’s, we grieve that they’re no longer inside us….when they hit kindergarten, you grieve that you no longer have a toddler….. by the time they graduate highschool, you grieve that they’ve become adults & that your parenthood has changed once more. You never truly appreciate what your parents experienced, until you walk the same path. Grieving is a part of our lives, a much larger part than many realize, and although “puppyhood” is so intoxicatingly precious & mourn-worthy as our children grow out of that stage, there will be infinitely MORE to hold onto & to joyfully value as they mature. Yes, their childhood is fleeting, but you are both SO SO ever present in your kiddo’s lives, capturing & memorializing nearly all of it as content creators. For those of us who are not as fortunate at the time that we were raising our little ones, to have captured as many or any moments, all that exists is what lay in our memories. Grieve, but remember that it’s an ongoing process, it will cycle around & around all your lives. Lean into each moment, as you already do so well, so that tomorrow, while you are remembering yesterday, you can exist in the duality of both places at once.
And when the boys are nearly ready to leave for college, watch on RUclips the following video which is an excerpt from a book of the same name:
The Gift of an Ordinary Day: A Mother's Memoir
    by Katrina Kenison
No, ya know what, watch it now; Much of it will be relatable now, other portions will resonate more profoundly as time goes on. I fully guarantee you will use an entire box of tissue on THAT video, but for the most beautiful reason.

Ahh I relate to this so much. I remember when my sister was 8 months old. I looked at her and cried because she was so sweet and tiny and I realised that soon very soon she will no longer be a baby. I will never forget that moment and I keep it to this day and somehow I can replay it like a video. Now she’s 11. And oh my 🤣 we’ve come a long way. I still watch her baby videos and I can’t believe she’s almost a teen. Now I’m patiently waiting for her to be 13-14 so we can have adult conversation ( we have 14 years gap). Cherish every second and make as many videos as you can. Now it’s sad because they are still so little but trust me it gets better!! They will always be your babies. Ask your parents! Have you wondered why they always treat us like we are still little?

You both are 2 of the sweetest people I’ve ever seen on social media. Your family is so beautiful and you’re both such tender loving parents to your boys. It’s honestly refreshing to see parents that actually enjoy their children and don’t treat them like they’re a burden. My husband and I don’t have kids right now, but if and when that season comes, my prayer is to have joy and loving care like you guys have for your babies. I won’t say I know how you feel because we haven’t reached that season, but I hope you feel encouraged to know that your tender hearts are a blessing and example to those of us who aren’t parents yet. Blessings to you and your family 💕

I know the feeling of having the heart explode and crying for how much beauty is in front of your eyes and in your heart, and how much you are grateful to God for all this...
Life here on earth is for us to be able to hold more and more love, and yet not holding on into anything, but let your hands open all the time.
It is an exercise, to let go, to let our heart melt and melt infinitely.
    You guys are beautiful.

Omg. You really hit home with this one. Just take each day and live life to the fullest no matter how old you are. Our children have grown and we have 2 beautiful grandsons who are also not babies. Life does change, you are correct but the memories stay in your mind and heart forever. Will you forget things, yes, but you have your vlog to look back at. We had picture albums. Just get all the tears and sadnesd out of your systems and look forward to a wonderful life ALL TOGETHER. Love you guys. Elaine from Florida ❤️🌴😎

The first 4-5 years are so precious because children depend only on us. When they start school, a "certain independence" slowly settles in as our children acquire their autonomy and their relational circle widens by frequenting their new friends and teachers... they grow and mature so quickly . But every stage and age brings special moments. New memories are created through their personal evolution and different stages of life along their path. All the moments of life shared with our children are magical and precious, whether they are young or old. 😍👨‍👩‍👦‍👦/⛹️‍♂️/🎉🎈/👨‍🎓/🚘💳/💑...
I have learned to live and cherish each of these important moments in their life stages in "the present moment" with my children who are adults now and these memories have become my strength in daily life. And it's not over because many other beautiful moments are yet to come 😊 👰/👶/👵...

I think you’re lucky you get to be with them 24/7 though! I have a 5 mo daughter and she will start going to daycare today since I’m going back to work in the end of this month. Imagine not being able to see your baby’s first moments like when your baby crawls for the first time or your baby’s first step😭💔 I know your feelings of wanting the time to slow down, because my baby’s growing so fast too and it makes me happy but sad at the same time🥲 but you’re lucky enough to be with them at home the whole time! So please cherish your moments with them🤍

Not a parent, but a middle school teacher, and I go through something similar EVERY year when my 8th graders leave middle school. I cry every year and this is the first year my first class of 8th graders are seniors and are going on to college. I’m a wreck! There’s something equally beautiful and tragic about watching children grow up. The people they are in one moment can and will change in the blink of an eye. You’re happy for them, but also miss the bonds you’ve made with the people they were before. It’s almost like a constant cycle of mourning in a way, but also the biggest feeling of pride ever. I feel it for kids that aren’t even related to me! I can’t even imagine how it feels for you as parents.

I’m not ready for kids yet, but I’ve always wanted them so bad, but I don’t deal with change well at all. I work with little kids at my church and when they move out of my room it’s really hard because even though I’ll still be able to see them it isn’t the same and it’s really hard. I’m bawling!! 😭

I guess I don’t get it. As the mother of three boys I am excited when they reached milestones. Our eldest has graduated from college and is working in his chosen career, our middle son is almost done with college but plays baseball and it’s exciting to watch him and his team. Our late in life gift is only 11 and it’s exciting to see him growing and experiencing life. As my children get older my relationship with each of them only deepens and grows. I love that. We love being able to maintain a role as their parents but the oldest two are adults and just really great young men. I’m sorry if come across as judgmental. I truly believe there are hundreds of ways to raise children and not one way is the best fit. As long as we all have the goal of raising good people. Enjoy these birthdays and milestones. It only gets better.

JEEEZZ... I thought your kids died or something but they just grew older which is like basic thing to do for little humans. They are not there for being cute or entertaining. They were born to become adults and each and every day is precious, not just first 4 years. Also, time goes by for everyone and this is just a common knowledge. Its painful in many ways but this is just how world is so I dont think there is a reason to cry over it like someone died. Be happy your kids are healthy and grow. Not everyone have this privilage.

I can’t understand from a parent perspective, but I can from a kid’s. It feels like it’s only been months , but in reality I’m going to be a junior in high school in a couple of weeks. I just wish I could slow down time and spend it with my friends before we eventually grow apart like most friends do.

This should be joyful time. Raising children is a privilege and a gift. Live in the moment and be selfless. It’s their time now and the beauty is you get to relive some parts of your inner child. Each stage has its own joys and challenges and actually you learn from them and you evolve as a person. The gifts keep coming thru your children.

That's exactly why I don't want kids. Okey I'm super young but anyway I'm sharing this kind of feelings but I don't have kids yet (seems weird😂) I feel so bad already about myself. How fast time is going. How fast I'm changing, the way I can't remember my self when I was young. Like how I was talking, the way I moved in front of the world, my gestures, my voice, my opinions etc I'm already suffering for myself now (I'm 19) but how will I be able to handle it with my owns kids.. God it seems so hard. I feel that I'm losing myself every birthday so how with my kids... and because of my age I can't share it with others as they don't have this kind of thoughts..
