Love your content bro! I really do love yoshimitsu, he is such a weird yet iconic character all on his own. If they made a adventure game with moves from the tekken games inputted, i could see it actually doing well, with his skins from previous tekken games in the actual game.
Normal stance Yoshi flash on hit gives +14 on natural or counter hit meaning u get a free followup upto 14 frames such as B+2,2.
Incase of heat or Nss activating yoshi flash gives a full combo on hit

When Yoshi goes into no sword stance, some of his moves act as if Yoshi was in heat, such as flash parry starting combos, f1+2 lunging farther, and inflicting soul steal. You can also see it in some of his combos when he uses flash to pick up on bound or to get soul steal off of combo ender/wallbreak 3 1 1+2
The no sword stance lets him get life steal off 1+1 and up back 1+2 and buffs flash 8:03 and Forward 1+2. Basically gives him access to some of his heat moves. So cool that your doing these reactions

Thank you for sharing this with us I LOVE yoshimitsu but he’s kinda hard to play for someone who has only like 30 in all the tekken games btw I only have 7 and 8 most of the time in the games is just fighting my cousin

Makes some second hit extensions CH launch + heal at the same time:
1,(1)
Dragonfly 1
Standing 2 (guaranteed flash)
Kincho 1 splat/hard KND for guaranteed hit (50dmg total and safe)
Flash becomes a launcher, on some characters you get guarabteed df2 or uf3 free launcher AFTER NSS flash, also becomes a combo extension too... but comes out 2i slower.
KIN 2,1 (hold) hard spikes
Ub1 leeches health with a collossal damage buff.
2,1 standing punish KND/Splat
1,1 KND/splat
df3,1 KND/Splat
u1+2 high crushing low that has TONS of plus frames on hit, you go into meditation stance mix
FC df3 is special to NSS, crazy long range low natural launcher. Reaches netherealm studios.
FC df1,2: first hit natural launches, but no one punishes on block since it has a followup (the 2) which does a 14i guard break: leading to 2,1/CD2/Flash> CD2, Flash>SS flash> CD2 at wall, and in the open gives 2,1/CD2 followup, and if you have heat b2,2~F heat dash combo starter for easy 70~90 dmg.
I’m working for the platinum on my PS5 for this game. I had a rough time with Vanquisher trophy but I finally got it.
So quick notes for Yoshi players, take what he says with a grain of salt. He hasn't labbed the character enough yet. So please excuse the little misinformation he was saying.
Here are some corrections:
1) Yoshimitsu has a guaranteed 14 frame follow up into Heat after Flash. In No Sword Stance, Flash still launches opponents with or without heat.
2) Manji Dragonfly (Helicopter stance) F2 is not minus as he claims. This homing high move is actually +7 on block. Same with Flee Stance F2.
People hopping on Yoshi in T8. I've been playing him since Tekken 3, and competitively since 2008 with Tekken 5 DR and Tekken 6. Not saying I'm special. He has just always been an obscure and underused character which was kinda part of his charm.

Yoshimitsu, for me, is a troll in tekken you do random looking moves and confuse anyone, you can play to win but not as fun.
I recommend Steve Fox next.

This is class from Em but seeing how he play yoshi, now that he's adjusted from T7 IS SOMETHING ELSE.

No sword stance gives a full combo on flash. Also there are quite a few of his moves if you hold up as they’re firing you go into the flying stance. Also the standard flash with the sword out grants a follow up but only certain moves I’m assuming back 2 2 is the strongest option. I usually do down 2 2 to put my sword away. Putting the sword away mid combo increases damages on his Enders as well that’s why a lot of people have down 2 2 in their combo to put away the sword.
Y’all need to stop worshipping eyemusician and watch some kaneandtrench. You don’t need to know the 345th setup, you need to get some fundamentals you can fall back on if your opponent doesn’t fall for your bullshit.
Man, he makes using Yoshimitsu look easy. 😂 I’m clearly a bad Yoshi player. I’m a Jin and Leroy main, so this is foreign language to me

Yoshimitsu has been a pain in my ass for decades (though mostly in Soul Calibur). Good luck to everyone with the statue!
Quick note: The move 3,1 into dragonfly 1+2 (~11:50) is a frametrap so if they press they get hit, thats why they have to respect it

you can be a forth dimentional creature. but unless you fully occupy the 4th dimenstion you risk players like yoshimitusu from getting a fast one on you. irregular physics only carriers so far.

Been a yoshimitsu fan/main since Tekken 1 lol. At 9 I thought I had an advantage by being the only person with a weapon
I wonder what they are gonna do with Jin now. Now that hes accomplished on defeating his father, getting rid of the devil gene (well he thought he did) and got through his trauma guilt. Or hes probably not gone be present in tekken 9 if they make another one
6:20 flash into b22 is guaranteed and one of the best ways into Heat. You can also get df14 if you don't want to go into Heat.

11:44 this transition is +7 on block and the homing attack from dragon fly is also +7 on block. Its a real frame trap that catches alot of people who dont know any better
Shockingly,Yoshi is a bit easier this time around. The rest is timing for gimmick placement.
The throw first round is to side swap, it’s an old tekken trick to do your 2 throw and swap places so you have wall advantage
You need to use no sword stance it's kind of like nightmares charge in Socal 6 the flash parry in nss can do combos
