- Managed to squeak this upload into the final hours of June to make for a Giant Balloon June video! We've never filmed a giant balloon so slow. We've also never filmed from the roof of the house before. These two things don’t mean this was a good idea. Don't try this at home. You could get an owwie.

There's a good chance the roof would not take that so well. Also I bet it would be hard to "drop". Shoving it off the roof would probably pop it.

Wow, the lengths you guys go through just to make a RUclips video is pretty crazy.

I mean, they've blown up an abandoned building, they struck a compressed can of propane with an axe, exploded boiling oil, and shot projectiles at speeds so fast capable of wiping out solid concrete, I think we're wayyyyy passed the "don't die", but rather we've reached "Just make sure Dan doesn't get hurt 'cause he probably will get mad and will maybe, kind of, but probably, most likely die"

The sequence from 8:45 to 9:45 looks better than CGI. The amount of detail in the water splashing is incredible.
Makes sense since CGI water simulations are only approximations using voxels and math, while this is you know actual water made up of real atoms
@@nachostv4217 But CGI is made to look good whereas water and atoms are not. So it is not obvious that the real thing is better for the purpose of entertainment.

No matter how many times I see it (I've rewatched all of them several times), I will never get tired of Gav and Dan playing with giant balloons.
I was distracted from the very beginning by the cut-out in the foundation of his house. Can anyone explain why that's there?
I really love these videos from the guys. It is just these two blokes goofing off in their back yard. For me, it fits the amount of production that the subject matter really requires.
I do worry that Dan is going to die in one of these stunts and, for two months, the footage becomes the most heavily searched clip on the internet because far too many people just want to see someone die.
That last shot of the blue balloon was immensely satisfying because of the actual ripples starting at around 10:40 and especially visible at 10:50 because of that very symmetrical landing Dan made (if a horizontal human body can be considered symmetrical at all)
I have a question
If you film with 300000 fps and you take a laser beam and point it in front of the camera to a mirror thats 1 km away. Can you see a delay between the two laser beams? If yes can you guys do that. I thing that cool

The second to last balloon with the new camera at 12,500 FPS was my favorite. Because Dan landed and it didn't burst at first, he looked almost stationary as the balloon split around him. That was amazing - @ 9:08
The sound editing on this is so cool! The 12.5K split noises sounded like a laser!
I love the sound effects that you guys put with videos that have ballons, water and stuff breaking or popping.

jack canada in drier states the soil is hydrophobic due to not being saturated most of the time. So when it does rain, it floods and erosion happens quickly; having raised foundations probably prevent water damage over time.
