I’m obsessed with VB beauty and I have almost the entire collection including the skin care. Mind you I’m a 34yo female thats married with a good career so I have the extra money to splurge. However, I’m a huge minimalist and a massive fan of the 90s and that Smokey/Grungy/Nude/Dirty esthetic. Her collection made it easy for me to have one brand to really turn to and mature with. I just never was the alternative/bright colors and glitters type. Her collection really speaks to my soul especially since I only wear light concealer most days and if I’m going out I use Mac face and body. I totally agree if this isn’t your style you most likely will be disappointed, however, if you love the 90s esthetic then this brand will be your holy grail. ❤ Plus Victoria sent a hand written “thank you” note with my first order which I appreciate sooo much as a business women. To me that is just cherry on top! 🤌🏽
As a cool toned lover Mink is a total favorite of mine and the palette in Tuxedo is amazing, but again, these are 100% my shades and pretty hard to find. Amazing shades and incredible formulas on both. Her range is just a delight…
This is the very first video of yours I came across and it took me 5 minutes to subscribe. You are a great reviewer! Objective, very eloquent, love your talking style and energy, strong talking points, I received all the information I was looking for. You seem to be really trying to give value and I appreciate it so much!
Would you be interested in doing a full face review of Vieve? Would love to see the comparison btw the lip liners, bronzers, gloss since there are some similarities bye the lines. Just curious! Very helpful review!!
Thai video entirely rebuilt my cart and its a LOT lighter haha also can we talk about how satisfying the bubble in the gloss was? I just want to watch that on loop for like 4 hours
I think her lid luster in chiffon might be what you were hoping blonde would be. Its more neutral and doesnt have that weird shift. I have fallen hard for VB makeup, her brand is just spot on for the no makeup, makeup look i love.
OMG, you HAVE to talk about seasonal color analysis, it’s a really easy way for people to identify their undertones/warm/cool/light/deep/soft/clear etc. - it explains why some look good in mauve and some don’t - I think you’re a Clear Spring - just a guess 🎨 ☀️ ❄️ 🍁 🍃 🌸
I had the same initial reaction to Mink (wasn’t the color I expected) but I grew to love it for that and it’s one of the most interesting shadows I have, and any time I wear it people ask what it is! Definitely need to get Tea Rose. Also, Phytosurgnece’s defiant dahlia might be a warmer, brown option instead of Mink. Similar vibes but warmer.
I wasn't especially interested in the VB makeup but I just felt like spending some time with you...and, of course, I had a blast! I love your encyclopedic knowledge of brands and your total honesty...and your entertaining self! Thanks!
I love cool taupey shadows and Mink is divine. It’s a great one and done shadow. I have a hooded monolid and the liners do NOT last. They don’t smudge under the eye but they just completely disappear. It’s weird. Total bust for me.
I use the VBB gloss as a lip treatment instead of a gloss as it’s so hydrating and has some very beneficial ingredients! I find it really has helped with fine lines/dry lips!
I love mink honestly, and on me with pink undertones and being reasonably fair and freckled I dont find it reads cool grey on me, i love the discrepancy between the warm brown and cool sparkle without it being a flashy duochrome type of product. tea rose and honey bore the pants off me tbh, they dont give me anything a normal eyeshadow in those tones does, i dont feel like its worth the money for standard shades like that.
I agree! I bought all of them except for blonde and I find that tea rose and honey are so underwhelming. Onyx, mink, and whatever the blue one is called (lol!) are just divine though and I want to wear them everyday!
This was so helpful! I’ve been lusting after her lip liners- You’re the first person I’ve seen describe them as “stiff” and reminiscent of MAC, characteristics which I detest… thank you for saving me the heartache!
If you don’t mind me asking, what lip liner would you recommend? Im in the market and I too am looking for a creamy formula. Have you heard of anything? ☺️
@@larajhilton Great question! The Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat pencils are pretty creamy, don't tug on the skin during application, dry down well for staying power. I do hate the plastic packaging- I feel like an idiot sharpening them and it doesn't look pretty, but that's how it is! If you prefer a sharp tip, you may be miffed. Iconic nude and Love Trap are great shades! Bobbi Brown's lip pencil formula is a *stand out*! Smooth application/texture and pigmentation without shriveling my lips; wood pencil sharpens well, usually no crumbling. I love the shade "red", grabbing more :) Decently non-feathering. They do have quite a few emollient ingredients! They remind me of a way more sophisticated version of the traditional pencils without the tugging, yet also not like the common twist-up gel ones that dry down brutally. P.S. The Sephora Collection Retractable Rouge Gel Lip Liner is creamy but wouldn't recommend. Way too balmy, have zero longevity and zero precision. On the other hand, they behave ok as an all-over lip :P A few that are NO's for me dawg: NYX (original, Suede), Huda (smooth, fade fast), Marc Jacobs Poutliner (stiff AF), Essence Best of luck
Thank you so much for this!!! I have been tempted by VB Beauty for so long but had a hard time justifying the cost. This really helps!!! I think I will go ahead with the Smokey Eye Brick only because I am IN LOVE with the Tweed color story. Mascara for sure and maybe bronzer or a lip… 🤩❤️
This video was so timely! I was about to order the VB mascara (after your mascara video) and decided to watch this first… I’m SO glad I did! The mascara is my PERFECT mascara!!! Thank you so much for helping me find this 😁 I got the eyeliner per your recommendation, and WOW! I’m in love. I also decided to try the lipstick which is devine and the lipliner (even though you didn’t care for it, the stiffness wasn’t a dealbreaker for me). The lipliner in 03 is exactly the color I’ve been looking for- it’s my perfect nude to pair with a clear gloss. I love everything I got… and based on my taupe-y eyeshadow preferences and some of the other comments I’m about to go try out Mink also since everything else has been amazing.
I loved the look of her Navy eyeliner. I ended up trying creep from Haus Laboratories instead though, and saved about $11. Her skincare is connected to Augustinus Bader. Never really heard anything about that line. The major factor to why I haven't placed an order is paying for shipping. I never find two or three items I need to hit the free ship minimum lol. I do see myself placing an order at some point though.
The VB lip definer in 02 is my favorite lip pencil of all time! I use it almost every day and my other liners are completely abandoned. In my experience, it's slightly less stiff/waxy than the MAC lip pencils. I never have to use pressure to get the color to transfer (which happens to me with some MAC liners like Oak, Dervish). Now I want to get a bunch of other stuff too ahah. Filling up the cart and waiting for a sale :)
if anyone is looking for a cheaper alternative to Tea Rose, the rosy color in the ELF bite size lavendar (called rosewater?) palette is really similar.
Yup the liners are very soft and dont smudge like crazy on the upper lid, but it smudges on the lower line like i have a dark circle. I didn't even line my lower lid. Strange.
Love the lip liner #3, it is perfect for my “MLBB” with gloss. Also dig the lighter (bisous?) lip stain. It’s such a stunning weighted component, the color is perfect for me and it doesn’t transfer. I agree with the eye shadow bricks… they don’t do much for me.. it’s beautiful but boring, I decluttered silk bc it wasn’t showing up on me, and the classic one just sits in my drawer. The eye shadow shimmer pots are amazing but agreed on the different colors - I personally love tea rose, honey and mink (I dab on mink with my finger- not a brush and I manage to avoid the cooler Grey shift). The liners are a bit messy, but I keep hoping that I will one say smudge the bronze liner or the brown one in the way that the videos display as a smudged liner/shadow. The little lip sticks - I really dig the red, but I don’t wear the pinky nudes ever.
Can you please compare Lisa Eldridge's Liquid Lurex Eyeshadows with Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid Lusters. The more I look at their collections, the more similarities I see. Would be great to see them right next to each other. Of course, if you have most of the color to compare.
Great video! I placed an order last night & then found this! I was holding my breath😂 I did well! Looking forward to my eyeliner, mascara & gloss (gloss I have purchased before and love it). In love with the ice cream cones in the background also. Can't wait to watch more of your videos!
Thanks for another great video. As a fair skinned person myself, I find too many bronzers can go way wrong on me (read as: oompa-loopma). As a woman in my mid-60's, I also find too many of them insist on giving me a "glow" I don't always want (read as: aha, texture and "crinkles"). So I get exactly why you would love VBB's bronzer duo. I just can't bring myself to spend the $$$ for it, even though I have popped for almost as much for several other palettes -- all of which which I have ended up returning because they did not live up to their hype. For my needs (and please don't judge me for this), the Elf powder bronzer quad (the lighter one) has turned out to be my favorite bronzer palette for contour, bronzing and eyes.
I adored the colour of her Bordeaux eye liner, but for me, it smudged and migrated absolutely everywhere! I had to drench my eyes in NARS eye primer before I could apply, and it's just too high maintenance and fiddly. Clearly I have "moist" eyes......sad, as it is a lovely formula and very user friendly 😥
You are a video machine! I've been watching your older videos all day so I didn't see that you posted but v excited. I also bought your merchandise today can't wait to wear it
I only have the VB lipliner in the lightest shade they make. It last literally 15 min before it’s gone. I have never had a lip liner last so short a time, like gloss time.
Yes 🙌 I love it when people explain why they hate or love something because preferences very wildly. Products are very rarely bad, they are just not that person’s preference. I watch all kinds of people with all kinds of preferences, why they have the opinion they have is very useful informationas as long as they explain . It also bugs me when people say ‘I just don’t like it so you shouldn’t buy it’ 🙄. I do understand though that in-depth reviews are hard to make and even harder to come by nowadays 😕
I was trying to decide on getting another colour but I will stick with mink, because copper and mauve look terrible on my light greenish neutral skin tone. I really would love a translucent scattered light type of lid lustre.
I know that I’m late to the party BUT Holy f-ing Omg! I just got the Victoria Beckham mascara and my eyelashes have never ever looked so great. I also purchase the lid lacquer in chiffon and ehhhh I’ll try it again tomorrow. It seemed kind of hard to spread with my finger.
I wanted to love the products so much. The packaging is amazing and I think the formulas are great but I just couldn't find colors that worked for me. And that eyeliner is just way too much, very easy to go overboard and have raccoon eyes in 2 seconds.
I ALSO always pull the wrong end off the eyeliner. 😂 But the formula is incredible. Only issue I have is u don't think the sharpener that comes with it is ideal. Any recs for a good sharpener let me know
Ok, so the first thing I thought when I clicked on this video is how absolutely stunning you look. Second, Crunchi's mascara comes in glass packaging (NOT tubing, though :( and they even sent me a new one when I dropped it on the tile floor and broke it! Third, great video.
Kackie, I hate to be the one to tell you this.....but those ice cream cones look rather suggestive. Eh, but at least you are inclusive lol. Love the video!!
I had the same eye brick. I love the colors because I love boring simple eye looks but I am light medium skin tone and it did not show up on me. I gave it away.
I found the mascara initially wonderful- very natural and so easy to remove. However, after several days of use, I felt like it flaked all day long. Bits of the “tubes” ended up under my eyes. Such a shame! Too expensive to put up with that.

No exaggeration, I use the #4 lip definer every. single. day. The best lip liner formula (and color) I've ever used.
Kakie you are a joy. I am again stuck in my bed due my CFS/Fibro and I love watching because you always make me smile.
hey I'm stuck in bed again too! my body is truly devoid of energy. Sorry you're going through that, sending my best wishes :)

Would love to see what she does with the Vieve blushes!
Me too!!!! I really am intrigued by Vieve and love the creator but I haven’t heard much about the products.
I love Victoria Becham's eyeliner. The eyeliner stays all day and even when I'm so sweaty from working out.
Thai video entirely rebuilt my cart and its a LOT lighter haha also can we talk about how satisfying the bubble in the gloss was? I just want to watch that on loop for like 4 hours

The swatch of Mink made me immediately think of the Phytosurgence cream shadow in Deeply Rooted !
Same here!
Her eyeliner is what got me hooked. I have oily lids and they stay put all day. Also, the bronzer is amazing. Thanks for the video!
