Thorin is right @ 1:22:00 - Aleksib is a tactical genius. He is best known for his signature tactic "going B, but then going A". He also has a second little known tactic of "going A, but going A". What an absolute legend. Top 3 IGL for sure.

"He helped me mostly by just giving me honest feedback without being toxic or having bad intentions.
He helped me in the start when to take timeouts, sometimes just to break the opponents momentum and not even say anything tactically just to breath. He helped me with how much anti strat he likes for himself so he can still feel the game on his own. And obviously inside of the game, especially in CS:GO he was probably the smartest player
Just really alot of valuable feedback but with good intentions, sometimes people and players just say "this is shit" without any fix but with him it was always "you could do XYZ better by doing ABC" and I knew I could always tell him anything without him being mad at me since we knew each other for 4 years."
Thorin is so unbelievably goated. It always blows my mind how he does this - knowing the details about the Renegades/Faze Starladder matchup, knowing Navi's winrate on Train and Inferno back in 2018, its just insane.
Considering how quick igls gets replaced otherwise, hooxi has to have some incriminating information on G2 managment.
its probably not that easy to replace him as niko alrdy played under almost all good current IGLs and failed to win the major.
I remember the Richard Lewis interview with Taz how he was saying that when he joined G2, the staff were telling him just go easy and don't rattle any cages at first, get a feel for things and all this stuff. Imagine how Gordon Ramsay would react to someone telling him that in a similar situation. That is the kind of energy Taz should have brought from day one.
Taz is just a yes man there. "let's go guys, don't give up" and following the usual boosting guide. He is not a big brain like Blade.

I feel that kassad being a coach again brings so much additional insight to these videos.. Hearing him talk about how in-game stuff like vetoes work is giving me X-ray vision to see through the constant barrage of PR bullshit that comes out of players' and coaches' mouths

With both karrigan and aleksib winning the major without NiKo, we know who the issue is 🤣. Jokes aside, it has to suck to be NiKo right now. You bombed out of yet another major (and did not play well) and another former igl takes the trophy.
Exactly. Though I'd say being Karrigan sucks a bit more. Not putting any frags (search on youtube Karrigan vs Navi for some laughs if you like) and losing a map so decisively; a map that you also lost in 2018, another Major Final: plus all the times he has been to Finals for a trophy and getting second place...

He got into 7 finals in a row in cs2, won 3 of them. Doesnt make his team seems any weaker, in fact they keep getting stronger after each tournament as frozen integration is going smoother.

Underrated part of the show is Thorins laughter at Kassad's takes. I found the spirit one funny enough to grin, but hearing Duncan freak out had me laughing too

To kassad’s point about coaching, Steve Kerr, GSW head coach won 4 NBA championships in 9 years with no prior coaching experience. But that is the exception.
I for my part would be extremely happy if this should would indeed still exist in FIVE YEARS.

I think it's pretty weird how people look at NAVI winning the Major with these player performances from iM and b1t and think that it means they will not be winning events in the future. Wouldn't it be actually more "fluky" if they won on the back of just everyone having massive performances all the way?
They won the Major and still looked like there's a lot of room for improvement while only jL had a clear overperformance. Both b1t and iM can play better than they did for most of this tournament. W0nderful performed to his level or a bit above of that, but he's still very young and should just naturally get better with more time and experience. Aleksib was calling well, but his individual form was also below average before the semis and grand final, where he stepped up massively. Their teamplay looked shaky in the Elimination Stage and got gradually better with every game they played. B1ad3 was also saying in an interview that they're only 60% of the way to what he would call a true NAVI system.
What if the real fluke wasn't that they won, but that they won so soon? What if this Major from them was just a glimpse of what was to come in the future?

@@raze_303 If they saved all of them, sure, but VP would have been favoured to win, as they have been much better in buy rounds on that map (they haven’t won a single pistol and still were leading). The same logic applies to potential OT. And even if it still had come to Anubis, it obviously would not have been the same game, as VP would not have been demoralised by the crash.
That's true, VP even dominantly beat NAVI 2-0 in RMR and got replaced by G2 which NAVI historically counters yet now almost lost to.

Kassad calling Maui's take insane then saying that about spirit gives me brain rot lmao. I love this show but what was Kassad smoking today, saying that Shiro isn't performing after singing his praises just before the major is hilarious to me because he clearly just had an off match in the quarters. Shiro is a top 3 AWPer right now and its not even close. M0nesy, Zywoo, and Shiro are better than the rest of the field on a consistent basis. The only argument I can see for someone better is w0nderful because he just helped Navi won the major and broky is way too streaky to compete and be a top 3 awper right now.
The spirit hot take is still great, but I don't know if they win te next Major... I think Vitality could be Spirit's kriptonyte with an in form ZywOo. At first I was a little bit skeptical about how Vitality's form would be, but they performed just fine, it was more of a ZywOo problem, otherwise they would be major champions two times in row! Really bad we didn't get to see that match up in the semis anyway, because now we might get that in a less important match!

i had navi going to finals in my pickems and losing to spirit, however i did say that if spirit somehow didn't make the finals then navi would win. Not rooted in any sound analysis (the part where they would win the entire tournament), I've just been a navi fan for 10 years. I'll still take my wins where I can get them 😁
if all other teams stay the same yes team spirit can win next one, but if MONESY going c9 or maybe if NIKO, MONESY going to falcons that might make things different
Hooxi getting so much blame is absurd. He called a great series vs mouz and navi. You could reasonably argue that g2 should have 2-0'd Na'vi if it wasn't for very poor performances from hunter and niko. And even still they almost won in 3, ancient was a very close map, with once again poor performances from niko and hunter.
Hooxi has dropped the ball in previous majors, but this major it wasn't even remotely on Hooxi's shoulders.
