@@realfrankykass I think you could do this starting on the hero 9… you might be able to do something similar with hero 7 but not sure about the settings
Yes, GoPro’s “The Remote” can control up to 5 GoPro’s at the one time, there is also the Telesin T10 remote which can also control 5 GoPro’s at the one time. They work with the GoPro 8, 9, 10 and Max. I’ve had both remotes and they both work very well. I still prefer the GoPro remote as it works a little better than the Telesin, however the Telesin is 1/3 of the price, and the GoPro remote isn’t 3 times better.
I just tried this with the GoPro11 ND 1000 with amazing results. My only question is that my 20 minute film only came out to be about a 4 second clip that I had to slow it down by half and to got 8 seconds then 15x duplicate it to get a longer version. I filmed it on 4k60fps. Lmk if you can help. Great content as usual!!!!
Hi, if you were shooting 4K 60fps, then you were shooting in Video mode which is the wrong setting to use. You need to be in Time Lapse mode and shoot in Night Lapse settings with ISO min & Max at 100 ISO. The shutter and interval should be set to Auto. You can leave White Balance as Auto or set to 5000K. Also make sure that Night Lapse is set to record video and not photos.
Hahaha... Classic. Thansk for letting me part of the shoot with you Danny, and great to finally catch up with you. All the best for your channel. Cheers Adam PS:- I love the clouds through the moon roof. The end result looks great.
One thing I do all the time when I don't have an ND is, record normal speed video, increase its speed to 1k or 2k faster in Premiere, and then change the time interpolation to frame blending for the clip. It gives a hyperlapse look without actually having that motion blur in the first place. Not as good, but it'll get ya by if you use Premiere.
Hi Danny, great video, very inspiring. I've been looking at buying a 1000nd to get trying this out. In my Google research, a lot of times, I've been reading that it's important to keep the camera steady when using nd1000.. in your case, its been mounted to the car so its pretty stationary, but obviously prone to vibration constantly. Can you comment on any of that advice? I would mention, that most of those guides i read were to do with capturing still images, not timelapses however.
I can confirm it was a Time Lapse and not a Time Warp video. It was shot in Night Lapse mode to allow the GoPro to shoot a longer shutter speed to get the blur movement using the Freewell ND1000 filter.
Hey chaps Great video. I gave it all a shot this eve Slightly different, (I ride motorcycle). Chesty-mounted GoPro8. I managed to grab a £15 nd1000 from China. Results are.. Interesting.. Kinda cool? Won't know til I can get it on a bigger screen... Definitely less stable (tried to keep my body still as possible while riding but not easy). It occurred to me... Hypersmooth is an option... However as we know, HS prefers a lot of light. The opposite of the ND filter... Otherwise you get smeary image. So my question.. did u use HyperSmooth in your captures? My conditions were clear, no clouds at all. Probably quite ideal tbh ... my trip got cut short by a mechanical bike problem but.. hopefully I'll try again Thanks for the video, I was inspired, and hope to try again
Media mod super view would show more of the cabin that may be worth a video on its own. I do work vlogs and this is something I can definitely add to my b role thanks for the tip guys 👌
@@Mobileblaster Do you mean Max lens mod? The Media Mod shouldnt effect your settings, however the Max Lens mod does limit your settings. GoPro labs firmware update might enable extra features for your GoPro to get the results you want. It's experimental firmware that can enable extra functions on your GoPro. It might be worth checking it out.
@@AdamBoltGoldCoast yeah my bad I meant max lens mod don't have the ability to use night mode. To be fair I don't fancy messing around putting different firmware on I'm not so tec savi and most likely mess things up and brick the camera 😂
Hey danny! I just came across your video and subscribed!!! This was amazing! How long was the drive?? I road cycle a lot and I think this would be AMAZING to put the gopro on my chest and get the POV of me holding the bike but the scenery of of the trails I ride!
Hi India, Danny and myself drove around for maybe an hour. He has cut the clip shorter than the whole drive that we took, so I would say this clip would represent around 20 minutes of driving.
Also that POV would be a great look with the ND1000 filter. We shot at ISO Min & Max at 100. If you found the filter gives too much blur you can either:- 1) Under expose the video by 1 stop by setting your EV (Exposure Value) at -1 2) Set you ISO Min & Max at 200 or 400 iso Either changes on your GoPro will reduce the time the shutter is open and cut back the amount of blur. Experiment with those settings to see which gives you the best effect 👍
@@AdamBoltGoldCoast thank you so much for the response and the tips!! I’m going to get the filter and test out! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I’ll tag you both with the results
You can buy a Freeweel ND 1000 filter for the GoPro 7 Black. I really like the quality of my Freewell filter that I use on my GoPro 9/10. The GoPro 7 can't shoot Night Lapse mode in video format, however there is a function on the 7 called Night Lapse Photo mode. You should be able to use this feature so you can create a similar video to this one. This mode will take individual images which you will then need to put into a video editing program to create the Hyper Lapse/Time Lapse video. Alternatively, you can try the Time Lapse mode on the GoPro 7 Black. The ND1000 may under expose your video in Time Lapse video mode, and if it does then bump your ISO up to 200 or 400, and hopefully you can then create a similar effect. With a higher ISO it will recduce the amount of blur, but it should still look better than the results we got with the ND64 filter we also used in this video.
@@AdamBoltGoldCoast that was extremely helpful and exactly what I needed adam thank you! Is the nd filter needed for the nights or just for the day time? I have the nd 2-400 variable maybe I’ll stick it to the lowest setting I just have to figure out how to get the blur! Thank you so much for your reply! It means the world to me 💯
@@LouisLuzuka At night time you wont need the filter as it will be dark enough already to get the blur effect. Instead of using auto shutter in Night Lapse Photo mode, lock in a 5 or 10 second shutter speed which should work to get a good exposure at night time for you.
