Life must go on

Le 12 octobre 1984, au beau milieu de la nuit, Margaret Thatcher échappait de peu à l’attentat à la bombe de Brighton revendiqué par l’IRA (Irish Republican Army), responsable de 5 morts et de nombreux blessés. Censée répondre à une interview pour la BBC dès le matin, elle échangea quelques mots avec la journaliste à sa sortie du Commissariat, aux alentours de 4 heures du matin.
Suite aux événements tragiques traversés par la France ce vendredi 13 novembre, la réaction de Margaret Thatcher, traduite ci-dessous, nous apparaît comme la réaction la plus juste et la plus encourageante dans le contexte de menace terroriste. « Life must go on ».
