I can't believe the puck work and finesse skating. I feel I'm watching something special every time he has the puck. As an Avs fan I haven't felt this way about a player since watching Peter Forsberg handle the puck. Forsberg was a horse, he could throw 2 guys off him while handling the puck and score. His behind the net play was amazing.
I was at the arena when he scored his first goal against Calgary. The next year I bought a partial season nose-bleed seat, despite living 200 miles from Denver. By the end of that season I'd upgraded to a full season ticket, so as to ensure I'd have priority for playoff seats. Again they exited in the second round. This year, I moved up seats again and bought a second seat, nines rows just of the shoot's twice end goalie's shoulder. I saw this coming that first game, and now... Oh baby... Makar is worth the price of admission and the drive, a Stanley Cup, well okay, that is icing on the cake. Watch as they do it again next year. NOBODY plays like Cale, nobody.
The goals on Chicago and Nashville early on are just so unbelievably smooth, he makes the game look effortless far more then any other player I’ve seen in my 34 years. Sure McDavid is insanely fast, Sure Matthews can shoot the lights out, Sure you can never count Crosby out, but for me if I had the choice I’d want to build my team around Makar, there just isn’t anyone in the league that’s remotely comparable to him on the blue line. He’s so entertaining to watch, because you never know what is coming next with him.
Right handed Defenders are the most scarce commodity in the NHL, plus Cale’s defensive stats are pretty respectable, why would you take him away from a position he excels at, let alone might go down in history as one of the best blue liners ever?
@@nathanstreilein758 I have a few buddies from home that are/were in the NHL and they say outside of asking and consulting with their spouse/girlfriends, they would take less money if it meant a great coach and guys they have line chemistry with. So with that said, can Colorado pay him $10 million/7 years or can they pay him $8 million/7 years ? Who do they have to get rid of for that to happen ?
I think if I'm him, I take a way smaller contract for a few years to win a cup, and then go get paid after you've done it. He's got a decade of insanely high level hockey in front of him - but it will be hard to be on a better team than this one during that time. Nate has done the same thing, he's WAY underpaid, but a chance at a cup is definitely worth it.
Earned himself some serious hardware this season - outrageous talent.

that move on chicago was crazy he’s the only defenseman that could do that
Goal of the year fr. Absolutely filthy
this guy is the best d-man in the league...Avs fans you guys are lucky!!! (coming from a nucks fan)
This kid is a future legend
He already is one.
Wings fan here. Very excited about Seider's Calder, but Cale Makar looks like to be on a whole other level. Wow!
Cale Makar is a real life cheat code
it’s awesome that i get to watch him play every night
How I felt about being able to watch Lidstrom play…and you have a lot of years left to watch him play, envious haha
My favorites are definitely the coast-to-coast against Philadelphia and the OT winner against Chicago. Both goals should be in the Louvre.
Same, those were beautiful! Cale’s incredible.
That chi goal was sick
This might be my most favorite thing ever.
4:22 the absolute definition of subtlety. Creating space out of nothing.

Talented, future captain.
Can yo do some more of these please?! Mainly for the 30 and 40 and 50 goal scorers. Youre channel is the only one to get the angles right lol
Of course! I’m currently working on a few other vids, but throw out some names and I’ll get those out too👍
The Joe Sakic of the blue line.
My reaction to every play he makes: @7:05
This guy only goes top cheddar! so fun to watch.
All Hail!
He's the best two-way D-Man in the game today. No comparison!
MacKinnon passing to Makar is just a great idea!
MAKAR SUPER MASTER!!!!!!
Remember this name, Lane Hutson.
THATS MY 2ED FAVRITE HOCKEY PLAYER
“holy schnikees”
He’s sooo damn good. My question is why not make him a Center??

@@DanoFSmith-yc9tg Sure but he'd probably put up 60+goals/yr.
Living tissue over metal endoskeleton
Man, he’s going to cost you about $8 million a year tho. Can you afford it next season? Who are you going to lose to keep him.
Lol 8 mill. Karlsson and Doughty get 10+, and he'll be better than both.

More like $10M

He already signed a 6 year contract with the Avs last offseason
But #fancyskaterboy didn't score but #one goal last night. Ha! Ha! And lost. Your AVS have been figured out now. It's a series.
Yep, I feel it’s home ice advantage but that’s my opinion
That aged like runny dog 💩
UPDATE. 3TO 1 ...AVS.... CLOSE IT OUT FRIDAY 24 TH.... WELCOME BACK STANLEY CUP TO COLORADO
