Then Indian Indian forces entered in Pakistan territory of Siachin in 1984 and when Pakistan forces responded, India claim it an attack on India . After that Raw supported TTP for terrorist attacks in whole Pakistan especially in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawr and Balochistan province. A tactical surprise - at best. Pak army despite months of planning, could not take on Indian army for whom it was a surprise, severe disadvantage in mountains. Still we won, and we control Kargil. That is the might of Indian Army.
Bro why don’t you do proper research? I hate it when any Indian or Pakistani tries to endorse what suits them. This was Pakistan revenge for Siachin, this is exactly how india captured Siachin. Same tactic was used by Pakistan and there was no way Indian army could recaptured their posts. We thought our plan it was but only risk was how india going to take it. Musharraf was anticipating that india will put up a fight in Kargil and then give up but india threatened for a full scale war. This is why Nawaz Shareef was called to US and order Pakistan to withdraw. Nawaz was blamed for being coward as knowing nuclear capability both countries have, Musharraf was confident India will not risk a full scale war. Nawaz was thrown out for that as not only he forced army to withdraw but also sacked Musharraf.

There was an immense pressure on Indian govt to take Kargil back. If you read experts they all saying that india would never be able to recapture Kargil because of the positions Pakistanis were sitting on. Once Clinton forced Pakistan to withdraw this is where india got upper hand. Pakistan pretended it has nothing to do with Pakistan army and this operation is conducted by locals. It was then piece of cake for india to take control back as there was no back up, supply and motivation left for soldiers to fight.

India only recaptured their grounds because the Prime minister of Pakistan was told by the US government to stop killing Indian Troops because the Indian Prime minister started getting the US involved after seeing his troops being killed over and over and over again. Bill Clinton started to pressurise the Prime minister of Pakistan so the Pakistani Prime Minister at the time decided to send an open message to Pakistan Troops to disengage.
The Pakistani Army followed the PM orders and started to head back whilst the Indian troops slowly slowly were able to start reclaiming their grounds one by one.
