1n 1965, USA was giving IMDAD /AID to prove success of capitalism over communism of SOVIET UNION and Pakistan was fast rising on economic parameters.
However after 1965, USA understood Pakistan a non serious state and stopped aid/IMDAD. Due to consistent focus on kashmir and other politics (dismissal of govt of sindh, KPK by jinnah, dismissal of 3 PM by ISKANDAR MIRZA, ASKING NAWAB of kalad Rs 50 lakh by ISKANDAR MIRZA in return of election campaign), Pakistan overlooked issue of Bengal.
In result, Bengal began to become hopeless because their economic condition was not improving.

Watched the video/programme a short while ago.
General Musharraf was an arrogant and a visionless army chief. A jackal was trying to beat a cheetah. He miscalculated his steps and his war strategy was countered effectively and India punched him with a bloody nose.
He will be remembered as a villain who sabotaged the Lahore Friendship Treaty with India , perhaps, once and for all.

There are lots of controversy happened during this war, like the US denied India GPS locations of the enemy and laser guided missiles for its figher jets was stopped, why Indian forces did not go after the fleeing pak soldiers and also why did not the India political system gave go-ahead to it. It also show cased the valour, courage and tactical superiority of the India forces on such heights.
I have read many books written on Kargil by Indian authors citing interviews of various soldiers and officers who fought there. All of them say two things:
1. Pakistani soldiers fought well even when they knew their situation was hopeless.
2. The planning done by the Pakistani generals was absurd. No sane minded person can draft a plan so fucked up.

Musharraf branded him a coward afterwards but anyone in his place would have done the same. It was Musharraf and his ill logical plan that lost him the war not Nawaj Sharif.

What I remember is that Pakistan Government didn't agree until the end of War that they have send their forces and deny any direct involvement due to which our Army was not having any Airforce support. So this was one sided war in favour of India from day first..

During Atal G visit to Pakistan, things were on right track and their was a possibility of peace in Kashmir, as Kashmiris are suffering from a long time due to Pak sponsored Jihadis & Indian Army Atrocities. We common people of India & Pakistan can not even imagine the pain which Kashmiris are getting on daily basis, we didn't lose our dear ones in gun fights..its not about India or Pakistan who wins or who fails, its about Kashmiris who are also the people of Subcontinent.
@jagdishkumar-eb2zc During British rule Afghans accepted the Durand line but when Pak came into existence they created the Mess on Pak borders between 1950s & 1970s as they don't want Durand line as international boundary. Bajaur incident is one of the Prime examples of it. Their army was coming in Civilian dress as Lashkars & their attacks were continously rebelled by local tribesmen due to which Pakistani establishment created tit for tat policy. Pakistan policy makers were forced into Cold War as they want to counter these decade long issues without full fledge war but has its own cons.
