I hope this comment makes it to the driver/owner. I'm 68 now but in the late sixties early seventies my dad took me to Capitol raceway in crofton MD and buds Creek/MIR now and I absolutely fell in love with the original I guess Rat Poison altered! At 12-14 years old man,the paint job heck everything about that little monster is something I can see right now in my memory! Thank you for the incredible life long memories!! Sincerely George.. God bless you and make some other kids life memory....
Hey Mike, thanks for the nice comment. Yes, that was the original Morey & Pettinato Rat Poison. This car is run by the son and grandson of the original team.
I have a Kenny Youngblood limited edition copy of Wild Willy in his AA/Fuel Altered. A gift from Smiley Smullins. I am getting ready to gift it to some deserving person. Someone who won’t turn around and sell it.
That chaise was set up perfect, straightest run I have ever seen! I can't remember the car's name or the driver's name, he would race with one hand on the side of the body. It was a hand full to keep it straight!
The altereds were around long before there were funny cars . They were way too Altered to fit in the stock or gasser classes , so they became their own class .

F yeah! fuel altered dry hops!
One of straightest AA/FA runs I’ve ever seen.
Sick ride!
Craziest stuff of all I love it
The old tail of the elephant being scared of the little mouse.
I fondly remember Rat Poison from Rockingham Dragway nearly 50 yrs ago. Is this the same crazy bunch? It appears y'all got better with age.
I saw them at the Rock too!!!!!! They are so awesome!

I believe you might be talking about Wild Willy,he always drove with one hand! Had a big wing on the back of his altered.
BADDD AZZZ😊
What was up with the light? That was weird
Nitroracer - Rolling Thunder Motorsports ... FN A
In late 60s i seen them at English Town. What a thrill 👍
Altered? Altered from what? Besides a funny car, I mean.
The “Fuel Altered” class name has been around since the 60’s. Our car has never been anything but that. Never a funny car.
No nitro just alcohol
I thinks not sure on that though
Don't forget no aero either
That thing stuck
Well done nice drive
@@andrewk7731Refers to the seat being in the middle I think. Comes from the days when they used to “alter” a chassis.
