I've seen it called standing double crochet stitch, too. Works for all stitches from single thru to treble when you have the yarn over, if required, in place before your hook is inserted into the fabric. It's very clean looking and one cannot tell where you started a new round or row.

Thank you so much for this helpful comment😍 I’ve seen the standing double crochet stitch that’s already have a working yarn on the hook and also with attaching a new yarn like this tutorial. So I’m not sure what to call, I just called this a new double crochet😁 I also have the triangle tutorial coming and in that tutorial I shared how to start the round with a beginning double crochet stitch and how to change colors without cutting the yarn😊
