The moment when Gordon gave that one woman the validation her father never did was so powerful. The look in her eyes when Gordon told her to cook it for her father, I swear it was like her soul settled.
I think I can speak for just about everyone when I say that it is really entertaining to see Gordon rage and yell at people but there's just something about him actually being pleased with the food
I’m a waitress and was really shocked with the face the customer made when he forgot who ordered what. If you remember it’s a bonus but when you’re serving so many people you can’t always remember who ordered what. As long as they get the food and it’s lovely surely that’s what matters in my opinion
It was probably edited in out of context. The editors of the show want you to think the waiter was a doofus for getting the order wrong, and a negative reaction shot is a convenient way to nudge you towards thinking that
Gonna follow up my reply by saying that this is very common among reality shows, to the point where people analyze patterns in how the edit portrays contestants to predict the final winner. Say, for example, a player slips and falls while bringing food up to Ramsay. If they get clown music while interviews with other contestants laughing at them are cut in, they probably aren't winning. But if inspirational music plays, and the guy who falls gives us an uplifting quote, it's clear the editors of the show want us to root for them. That process is called Edgic for those curious (edit + logic)
Yeah, I thought the same. They’re at the right table, who cares if he forgot who got what, 90% of the restaurants I’ve been to, even if it’s just my wife and I, the wait staff will still say the dishes and see who says yes or me. Who cares? You’ve brought my meal, you’ve got half a dozen tables with bunches of other people, there’s no hard feelings.
Waitress here too, i know right? I hope thats edited because sheeesh when you have a dining room of 60+ and your running food drinks and taking orders for both how are you expected to remember them all? Not payed enough for that and too much of a silly thing to worry about when the kitchens calling you in every 30 seconds to bring out a different order of food at 9 on a Saturday night 😂
The fact that Gordon Ramsay accepted his pride pin without saying anything may seem rude but is actually perfect. By not saying anything, he isn’t dragging attention to it too much because he knows if he did it could be used against him as a reason of why he failed the chef.
So she was not a chef nor had any cooking experience, but was charging a lot of money to train people to cook.....Am I wrong in thinking that's basically fraud? Surely you should have experience and qualifications in the thing you teach....wow
It is up to people to do the research on what they sign up for. Like it can't be such fraud that it flew right over their heads... I mean she's on the show.

It always struck me that Gordon's "Hell's Kitchen" series was like the culinary version of the initial audition phase of every "American Idol" season ever ...in the sense that U clearly see which contestants have genuine skillz (almost always in combination w/ a keen sense of professional humility) vs which ones have ... shall we say ... an inflated opinion of their abilities.
"I teach manners too chef." You know that feeling when you mouth off to your mom, but the second you do it you know you made a mistake and you see God.
@@No-vm7go he doesn’t want fear, he wants cooking ability. Look at how he treats the kids. No aggression at all. He presumes people turning up on these shows have some slight ability.
Here you see how gordon is incredibly nice when: - people do things right - when people do things wrong and take it with humulity - when people who just started do stuff wrong But also how we is incredibly pissed when people do shit wrong, when people are smug and when people take themselves too seriously yet do basic shit wrong
It's all staged, or at least designed by showrunners to end up with horrible results, and of course they probably let Ramsey go off. Anyone who has ever worked in a restaurant knows that a functioning kitchen requires timing, communication, and every cook being competent on their assigned station. The show literally does everything opposite of what any chef in the world would do, they got a bunch of strangers with varying levels of experience and background, then they probably didn't train them that much and after a couple cooking "contests", throw them into the fire of a fully booked service. It was destined to fail and of course Ramsey was probably told to go off on them as if it was an established kitchen.
Ramsey is an asshole to people who have been supposedly cooking for years and produce garbage. But if you watch his master chef so long as the home cooks act respectfully he shows them what they did wrong and helps them to correct it. But if they act like pricks he tears into them. Which is why on here he pretty much tears into them all the time because they are competing for a spot to run a kitchen in his name.

Love this guy

@Josh Burton real apprenticeships rip your soul out.
Being a chef is so stupid. I was one
5:23 Danny was right, chef did get a rise from him….but it was a rise in skill, effort and talent which eventually led to him winning! 😊🎉
Here you see how gordon is incredibly nice when:
- people do things right
- when people do things wrong and take it with humulity
- when people who just started do stuff wrong
But also how we is incredibly pissed when people do shit wrong, when people are smug and when people take themselves too seriously yet do basic shit wrong
@@jac1207 the reason it was set up this way is to see who can handle high stress environment just like anything you are training for you aren't put in the ideal situation to succeed. You are put in a high stress position to see how you handle and adjust to the situation as needed
