OK so first off, I understand why some may think that Eastern Canada isn't known for its multiculturalism, but NS has to be one of the most diverse of the provinces in the East Coast. Secondly, I am one of those "half-breeds" you speak of. My dad is a decendant of the Maroons and came to Canada from Jamaica in 1978 after he married my WHITE momma who grew up in Mulgrave Park. Last I checked I was a human being, not a breed of animal so keep your racism to yourself.

I knew a lot about Africville, the Maroons (from my dad mostly) and was shocked when I went to junior high and high school, and realised it wasn't something a lot of my classmates who may have gone to other schools knew a lot about. I'm Nova Scotian and I remember Jr. Highschool history class when they taught us that the "Maroons" were slaves that joined the English/British Military, fleeing the American Civil war. The "Maroons" were offered passage back to Sierra Leone, (Africa) if they survived the war, I guess. Many left for Africa and many stayed in Nova Scotia.
There have been atrocities committed by humans against humans well before recorded history. When I learned about Africville I was horrified.

ok thats a bit much. hali isnt as bad as van. Im in a gang in vancouver and im from hali. The thing is that we dont shoot in hali we fight like real men. People got respect in hali too which doesnt exist in Vancouver. In van we run lines . one line will bring in 10 - 25 grand a day and theres prolly round 15 - 20 of them running in east vancouver alone. not to mention north van west van burnaby downtown van north delta chilliwack abbotsford surry white rock mission..
