Is a song written by Iggy Pop and Ivan Kral in 1981 for Iggy Pop's Party album. Bowie made a perfect interpretation and became a master piece on his hands.
Just in case some of you don't get it, she was one of his dancers that toured with him. Some people seem to think this is a real fan he pulled from the audience..!
I think, Iggy sang it better, though I'm a huge DB-Fan. But the show, the performance, is great, amazing and wonderful! This stage play, the choreography - so smashing!!! By the way, was it Melissa? Does anybody know it?
"Bang Bang" is a song written by Iggy Pop and Ivan Kral in 1981 for Iggy Pop's Party album. It was released as a single, charting at #35 on the Billboard Club Play singles chart. According to Iggy Pop's autobiography, "I Need More". He wrote Bang Bang as Arista Records wanted a single and he promised them a commercial album. He originally wanted Phil Spector or Mike Chapman to produce the song. Instead, songwriter Tommy Boyce was brought in. Iggy claimed he got idea for the song from reading "The Right Stuff" at a local bookstore.
02:00 Is she actually a fan or a member of David Bowie's tour crew?? I don't really know... If she is one of the crew, she can act very well a crazy fan. And if she is a fan she can dance very well, knows the song and the dance moves, so..... ;)
I love Bowie but I like Iggy's version better, it's more raw and powerful. It happened with most Iggy songs that Bowie did later (each one written by both of them, of course), China Girl, Tonight, Sister Midnight, etc, Bowie did them sound more commercial.
A new (inter) national line, which can be informational, communicational and perhaps also educational and a little bit entertaining what; The INTERNET, kind regards Saskia van Houtert, engineer/officemanager. Date of description: 15 july 2023, time: 23:40
wow, this is bizarre. i love bowie but this is a bit over the top for me. pop's toothless version is just so much better, so much more real. bowie's 80's hair is quite something.
Love Bowie-Love Iggy-Love this song. IMO he falls flat in his interpretation of this iconic Iggy classic. Then again, I don't care for many bands covers...
It's David Bowie's glam-rock & showmanship vs Iggy Pop's punk angst. David changes the lyrics accordingly and pays homage in a humorous way to Iggy's stage antics. Both versions are great, though with different moods.

Bowie made a perfect interpretation and became a master piece on his hands.
It was a masterpiece in Iggy's hands too. Only, the music genres and moods are completely different.
Bowie encouraged Iggy to just go for it as I undestand things. I think he covered this just to say: well done, man
This tour was killer ! You had to be there
Saw glass spiders in Brisbane oz.....The BEST concert I’ve ever seen....
haha gotta love watching him! "my fans!" *reaches hand toward them* "no david no!!" *pulled away* gotta love his face!
great song of the man with the great voice
David Bowie is SOooo hot in this video !!!
lol. the bodyguard dude about tossed him like a ballerina. :> so much cuteness and adorability.
One of the big ones of the music
Bowie at his best!

Just in case some of you don't get it, she was one of his dancers that toured with him.

@lizdylanboykie REALLY!!! :D Wow... I'm a massive fan and have never come accross that before!
I think, Iggy sang it better, though I'm a huge DB-Fan.
But the show, the performance, is great, amazing and wonderful!
This stage play, the choreography - so smashing!!!
By the way, was it Melissa? Does anybody know it?
Much better.
Yes, it was Melissa apparently, though I don't who she was.

MMAJ07 that’s Melissa Hurley, a crew member and actually Bowie’s girlfriend in those days.
Dangnabbit, wouldn't you bless your own heart if you were Iggy Pop who had David Bowie as a really good friend?
Great choice f cover, David.
@kytiladdy Way off, Pop wrote this for an album Bowie had nothing to do with.
@sandboy007
the girl was a dancer of the Show. No real Fan.....
Its not completely true. Ivan Kral mainly wrote this song (bass player in Iggy Pop's band)
The lyrics are Iggy Pop's, of course. Great lyrics! But David modifies them to make them less dramatic.
@@lilise3965 Ivan Král was iggy's guitarist and songwriter, this one is probably his best one

this is a iggy pop song!!
Solo bowie podría igualar o superar a Iggy UuU 😎
Sono due mood differenti, il glam e la showmanship di Bowie vs l'angoscia e il senso di solitudine di Iggy Pop.
Elizabeth Hurley
Yeah.. Iggys song but... David very helped to him... :-)
Мелисса Хёрли - танцовщица.

this is weird even by Bowie standards ;)
Oh my ears...
It's bad
