There are two versions of the 392. You are testing the regular version. There is also an XR version. The XR has 35in tires, 4.56 gears, and limited to 112. The XR is slightly quicker due to the lower gearing which is why C&D got the 4.0 0 to 60. The regular 392 is limited to 99mph, has 33in tires, and rated at 4.5 0 to 60. There is also an Offroad+ button that really wakes it up even more. Makes the performance exhaust burble and backfire more under acceleration. Love my 392. Super fun.
Ahh thanks for the clarification.. this still felt really quick off the line I’m sure the slightly smaller tires help that. This is unfortunately a used car without a window sticker and you can’t build 2021’s on jeeps website anymore so I didn’t have as much to go off as usual.
Is it worth the price? Absolutely not. You are massively overpaying for an engine and that's it. You could get a high mileage 2018 Rubicon for less than 30k, you can get Motech or any number of reputable installers to install and LS or HEMI motor and heavy duty transmissions for about 35k, add on another 20-25k in lift, wheels and suspension and walk away with a more powerful, more capable vehicle for less money. It's absurd what Jeep is charging for the 392 Wrangler.

@@WTFCRLT1 the one with 35” tires is actually a 1/2 second faster to 0-60 than the one with 33” tires. Good video, thanks

I have my 2023 non-XR on order for $6k under invoice. This may be the last year to purchase a 392.
Sorry, $6k under MSRP.
Any word when production will commence?
@@Martin-ox9dw 2023 Wrangler production started this month in Toledo, Ohio
