The best place I would like to live be Kazan, but for work purpose I would choose Moscow, however I am so jealous that Russian have a lot of spaces to live in, if I were move to Russia I will certainly build my own castle 😄.
But a suggestion @Slava, how good would it be if you include a location for each city showing on the map... Just my thought.
Great content overall.
Hope to see you soon again.
It's ironic you say that) I just moved from Moscow to Kazan. 15 years in Moscow and a week in Kazan. Moscow is in a decline right now: seriously bad traffic and the ecology sucks. There are fewer and fewer green spaces giving way to apartment blocks. Kazan is one of the fastest up and coming cities in Russia.
@@wellardme Well, I won't agree on "Moscow is declining" at all - the transport infrastructure has doubled if not tripled since the times of Luzhkov, and I can see any problems with green spaces

There are many cities in Russia and what they have in common is certainly the cleaning of the streets, besides their beauty. I have been impressed by Nizdji Novgorod. Thank you for this information

Awesome video, very informative Slava...I have been to 5 of the cities. Hopefully this summer the family can visit a few more. I would love to visit Smolensk and Veliky Novgorod, Sochi, and Suzdal, but Moscow is my favorite so far.
4 years ago, in 2018, i wanted to learn about Russia and it's population and geography and where people live. The 2018 world cup really helped me with that :)
I couldn't name just one, they all looked so pretty. I wish people knew more about the beautiful parts of Russia and not always about fear mongering. If I had to pick one though it would be Kazan.
Yep, Kazan looks really interesting. Russia is such a wild & beautiful place. Like most other places, corrupt politicians cause problems but the majority of the citizens are good!
Love this! My favorite is Novosibirsk, although Yekaterinburg is on my list of (Russian) cities to visit since discoverying your channel. Thx again. Poka-poka ✌🏾

I am from Warsaw and visited Russia few times but I do love nature so my favourite place will be Irkutsk and lake Baykal! Amazing 🤩 but I did like Vladivostok because of water and the city is very hilly what give lots good impression! Kazan is also is very beautiful 🤩 But for short visit I love Moscow as you said you never get bored in this city !
You love nature, you need to go to Sochi. The nature there is unique.

Great piece Slava. I visited Moscow and Leningrad in 1991. It was fascinating experience for me. As an American, I appreciated looking in as an outsider but many of the tours only went to Moscow and Leningrad. I would love to visit these cities in Siberia and Volga region. I'm also glad you visit America and enjoy your travels in my country.
Nice video! As you said people generally think that only Moscow and Petersburg are the cities in Russia . But there are other great cities like Yekaterinburg and Kazan.
Great video Slava. You're always enlightening. Are all those drone shots yours?
Love the camera work.Given the cold weather I would pick Novosibirsk. Looks like every city in Russia is beautiful and rich in history.
So Krasnoyarsk, Ufa, and Perm barely missed this list. Thank you for this video.
Well that's true a lot of the cities barely missed it. Tyumen, Krasnodar, Volgograd, perm etc
Nice video👍. Hi from Rostov-on-Don.

Thank you, Slava! Very interesting. You video shows what a great country Russia has become. Best regards.
Loving the vlogs. The view was amazing.
This is a great orientation to Russian cities. Thanks for posting. Good work!
Sadly, during public school attendance here in the USA, I was taught almost nothing about Russia or the Soviet Union.
I did have several classes however covering my home state of Texas. Haha.
Thanks for addressing my ignorance.
can you make a video about the cities in russia which you like most or do some studies of russian economy at the present?
Nice video, its good to learn about these cities, I travel a lot, well before the pandemic and Russia has always been on my list , planned on visiting during the world cup but missed my opportunity, beautiful country.
The first time I watch your video, I thought you might be an English speaker. But wow, A Russian guy. Your voice and accent are amazing
Places I've been to in Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Veliky Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Vladimir, Suzdal, Sergiyev Posad, and Voronezh....... the first half was for the World Cup, but got in some of those golden ring towns too....
Impressive

Love the channel. A solid voice of reason and reality. Wonderful videos, professionally edited. Always informative and entertaining. So different from the propaganda spewed by western media. 👍
All very beautiful cities. I actually appreciate the grandeur of much of the Soviet era architecture, along with wide avenues and open spaces.
I am so excited for St. Petersburg. I am going to study my college there and love it already. Thanks for the informative video
I have been to Moscow and Novosibirsk. The Circus in Moscow was a highlight of my travel. The language barrier made it difficult but not impossible
Another great video, Slava, thank you! I like St. Petersburg the most, it's just so beautiful!
Very good video! It is interesting and informative for me living in Russia 😊
I love your channel. Good job. Very educational. Please share a lot more. Could you share a lot more about Siberia & Far East region like Kamchatka and Vladivostok?

I agree! Sadly but it’s true… Great Russia 🇷🇺 ❤
Honourable mentions : Vladivostok, Sochi, Kaliningrad, Grozny, Krasnoyarsk
I know. But I just went by population. If I had to mention all the major cities there would be at least 25.
I would also add Krasnodar which is named the most comfortable city for living in Russia for several years already and currently the third most popular destination for inter country migration after the two capitals. Also Tyumen is worth mentioning which is the richest large city in Russia with salaries surpassing even Moscow ones.
@@PaulV. Do you know why Tyumen is so rich? Is it because of the mines or oil industry?

Very interesting. I had expected to Krasnodar and Kaliningrad to be on the list. I would bet it won't be long before Krasnodar climbs into those ranks.
How exciting to see that mentor. Thank you for sharing.
Very interesting. Thx ! It would be nice if you showed the cities also on the map ;) Interestingly that most of the cities rank exactly in between 1.1 and 1.2 million people. St. Petersburg would be on top of the list for sure, since its history and culture and its closeness to europe. If I would pick on of the large "unknown" cities it is difficult to chose from Kazan and Samara. Beautiful architecture, and I like that river beach in Samara. I'll hope I can go one day on the transiberian express, to see more of this endless country. Greetings from the Netherlands (which has more towns to see then just Amsterdam ;) ). Хорошего дня!

I would have to go with Rostov-on-Don, looks like a very nice place, and because it is an agricultural city, and the climate is warmest.... -31°C record winter low not my type of warmest 😉, but the general summer temperatures seems to be acceptable. All these are very nice places!
About 60% of the footage is mine. I had to buy some footage for the other cities
0 градусов всю зиму ! - 30 это аномалия , тут - 10 раз в пять лет случается !
@Akato Packed and on my way!!! Oh no wait, winter temperatures where I am get to 10°C, maybe 5°C on a bad day, Summer is between 22°C - 27°C, very hot day will be 32°C.... summer nights 15-17°C, don't have clothes for that weather.

Love your channel, I've been a subscriber for years :) I love that you share so much about Russia. Always unbias and informative. Thanks for a great video. Just a curious question, How did you find the average salaries? and what would you describe as an average job that would pay $669 in Novosibirsk and $1577 in Moscow? :)
Finally the average salaries was a matter of finding the right article. Regarding the salaries. That's something that an entry level sales position would pay you. Say, at a car dealership.
An excellent video because many foreigners know only Moscow, St. Petersburg, and perhaps, Yekaterinburg. But Russia has many interesting and beautiful cities that deserve to be on the tourists' guides.
