Make sure you need the uhaul size that you think. We moved from WV to MT and it costs thousands to drive a uhaul and haul out vehicle. Afterwards, we realized it would have been cheaper to just buy a new couch, a new bed, etc. Our last move, we rented a pull behind and gave stuff away. We saved over 5k which was plenty to buy furniture at our new destination
I hope she's going to have some help driving to her destination. My concern is about her safety as a young woman traveling alone. Having a moving sale would save her some money.
I second this! Check prices and see how much it will cost. My brother and his family made a 500 mile move and rented a truck for their move but he said Penske was 100s cheaper. Also he looked around to see where the cheapest drop off location was. He ended up driving it an extra hour from us to drop off because it was over a hundred dollars cheaper. But as the commenter above mentioned it might be cheaper to just buy new things when you get there.
Thank you I appreciate the concern. I’m actually not buying furniture I’m just moving my office necessities. But I have been looking everywhere the prices are just ridiculous. If I could avoid the uhaul all together I would.
Hey Monet! I am reading that the recent Student Loan Debt forgiveness includes a refund to those who have paid during the Debt Relief Pause. I suggest you call your former loan company and ask about this. Pretty early for them to know, but get in line if you can :)
I got one a few months ago it took over a month. I read the same thing and just paid a few payments recently I’m going to be getting a refund on those too unfortunately there lines are crazy right now. She should definitely attempt it that can be used to wipe out her remaining debt
