You prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can watch all of the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my brother for the last months :)
I've watched a couple of your food truck videos. I don't see any discussion of the whole "commissary" thing. Explain that more and the cost of it and location and stocking and equipping etc. Maybe go back and do a "part 3" just on her commissary and how she uses it. Thanks
I'm living in Jamaica, work in the restaurant with my husband, we planning to buy a second hand food truck, not able to buy a new one. The info was very useful.
i am writing this from Ajman ...this is the Emirate next to Dubai. in 2018 i found a location as per my liking for my cafeteria. however the building was not complete and finally building got completed in 2019 November. i started paying rent and this was a shell with no electricity, water or drainage connection plus so many health regulations because this is a food business and top of that the pandemic hit us. however with all the ups and downs i will be opening in few weeks. i am absolutely new to all this, so their a lot of low moments for me because have spent a lot of money and worked day and night on this, without taking off days and everyone i meet tells me that i should have not invested my money in the food business. videos like these help me learn and gets me motivated . thankyou very much
just found your videos two days ago and they have motivated to work towards my dream to have my own food truck business. as someone else mentioned, going into detail on food prep and use of the commissary would be cool to include in future videos. thank you!
This has been so informative, thank you! I have begun research to start a food truck, and the first snag I find is there don't seem to be any food commissaries on Long Island. I'm sure my neighbors would mutiny against me if I parked one of these in my driveway, not to mention service, storage, food prep and wastewater and grease clean-up. If I had the wherewithal, I'd start one myself.
Hey! Thanks for watching, we're so happy to hear that you got some information out of this video. You also make a good point, we'll take note of your recommendation for upcoming videos that are related to this!
thank you guys, she has been very very very amazing!!! im coming from a brick and mortar but now that im retired from my career I want to leave nj and relocate so im buying a food truck and restart what I already started
Your videos are amazing! But it would be even better if you could speak up a bit and narrate more clearly throughout the interview. Keep upp the good work!
A lot of people do rent/lease their food trucks. It's a great idea and like you said Matt its one way to reduce your risk and upfront costs when starting the business. That being said you can also find some really good deals when buying trucks so sometimes buying a well priced used truck actually makes sense financially.
Good stuff, but you really should have held the same camera framing and ignored the Outlaw recovery guy and his kids in the background. I spent more time watching you try to get the guy out of the shot and less time listening to what was said. Just sayin.
Why does she feel like she has to have a freezer for fried pickles and mushrooms for them to taste good? You can cook fried pickles and mushrooms made to order that won't fall apart.
@@Sexylady0715 I assume it would depend on a variety of factors. $800 does sound steep imagine how many $8-10 sandwiches you would have to sell just to cover your entry fee.
@@cookncrook6902 For good events, food trucks will pay that price or higher for a seat at the table. Lot of factors. Was that $800 a one time fee for a multi-day event? Or was that for a single day event? If an event is asking for that fee, it's because they know they can and they already have others fighting for a spot at their event.
@@cookncrook6902 Each business needs to know if that event fits their style. If they know they can turn product and hit high numbers, it's definitely worth it. If you are a slower serving operation with lower margins, you probably can't handle the crowds at the pace needed to net the high margins you might need.
@@cookncrook6902You're right, BUT... 87 million of the world’s 671 million obese individuals live in the United States, meaning that a country (USA) with 5 percent of the world’s population boasts 13 percent of the world’s obese. So we have the fattest people by the overall number

Really makes me feel like I can actually make my dreams come true.
You can Markilla. You just have to work towards them each day. What type of business would you start if you could start any business?
You did answer some of my questions i posted on pt 1 here so thank you for that. Cheers!
This woman needs her own show on the food network, she is very well spoken and entertaining to watch….
She does!
Greetings from Guatemala. Really informative. We learnt a lot. Thank. I notice not much was said about her preparation kitchen.

Just please be sure the drinking game is played with your favorite hot or cold Tea for maximum health benefits while improving your business prowess.
Very helpful, especially seeing the layout of everything. Great first hand information; thank you, Jen! Blessings to you.

Awesome! Thank you!
Count how many times she says “right?”
Trying to get someone else to do your work by counting for you without providing your own count?
That's the mindset of a BOSS BOY!!!!
Learned alot cant wait to get started on my journey

Thank you , great job..

Why do you need to spend hours and pay an employee to look for ketchup when you can just call to see if they have what you’re looking for?
Gracias amiga
Thank you so much it's so helpful
3,000 for tires thats way to expensive.
realtor???? good info. local realtor here looking into starting a food truck.
Why don't people rent a food truck or trailer instead of buying? Because what if they hate it? Or there is no path to profit?

Once a month i do my truck once a week with cleaning daily
That's amazing!
It really is!
right?
I wish I could give up my full time job and do this. It must be hard.
This is so helpful
Glad we could help.

do they pay for locations?
she is switched on as fk . awesome businesswoman
She's a hustler!
Why does she feel like she has to have a freezer for fried pickles and mushrooms for them to taste good? You can cook fried pickles and mushrooms made to order that won't fall apart.
Good question!
She doesn’t make them to order. She’s buying them frozen from a supplier like most restaurants do.
Well you can make them from scratch with tempura batter, but you are on limited space as well. Hopefully, she will get herself a freezer!

Unless it's an electric vehicle with done delivery only an idiot should spend that kind of money on a good truck...
