    Thank you for sharing your story! 🙏🏻I currently live in USA but was born in Soviet Russia in 1978. If it wasn’t for my parents I would’ve moved back to Russia already. America is not the same anymore. It’s ironic that we came to USA for same reasons. So I completely understand what you as a family are going through. I know it’s not completely same experience for you guys, but I know how difficult it can be when you can’t speak language of country that you in. Russia has a lot of bureaucracy when it comes to documents. It’s not going to be difficult forever. Things will get better. My best wishes to you all. Конечно это смотрится забавно и иронично особенно для нас русских. Хотя нет ничего хорошего в том, что люди вынуждены спасать своих детей от всего того, что сейчас навязывается на западе. Из распавшегося СССР люди ехали в " Благословенную Америку", где молочные реки и кисельные берега. А по приезду до них доходило, что-то чему. Нам же столько лет говорили, что там за бугром все лучше, а мы люди второго сорта. Хотя на самом деле все совсем не так. Да и у русских людей никогда не было ни к кому высокомерного, надменного отношения. В отличие от того же запада). Что же, сейчас такое время, ждем следующих переселенцев с запада, кто хочет сохранить своих детей и будущих внуков и правнуков.

    А насчёт обычных людей, не программистов, не фермеров, чтобы устроиться на работу или начать свой бизнес без языка никак не обойтись. И это самое главное послание западным людям - как только возникла мысль о переезде, начинайте усиленно учить язык!

    The farm you're at looks great! We just moved to Russia last September. Initially hubs wanted to do goat farm. Yours look awesome

    • @Running2Christ
      @Running2Christ  15 дней назад +3

      This farm was a place that the Lord brought us to, it is not our farm. We will one day have a smaller farm than this. Through this experience we found that we don't really want this particular lifestyle. I don't like the fact that the animals run free everywhere. They're not in pins, they're not in corrals. All the animals run free everywhere, the rabbits, chickens, the horse, goats and the sheep. This is not a very well set up farm at all in my opinion. As soon as you step out your door you may step in goat poop, horse poop or rabbit poop, chicken poop, any kind of poop you want, it's all there, and there's flies everywhere all over in the house, it's actually quite disgusting. The farm looks beautiful, it's very peaceful at times, but it was not put together well. This is kind of how I guess Russians do things, or at least some of them do it. I don't know. I haven't been to very many farms here I've seen a few around. I've seen the videos from the Canadian family, Aaron and Anisa Cpuntryside Acres farms. This is a challenge to say the least. During winter we had to bring the animals into the house to keep them alive because they weren't bred properly at the proper time. And all the babies were born in the middle of winter. It was a very hard and challenging first winter in Russia. But we did get through it and we're thankful for the experience. We are all ready for a new chapter.

    • @bachaterra
      @bachaterra 4 дня назад

      @@Running2Christ first off, props to you for making it through the first winter in Russia! Getting used to harsh cold climate never easy to begin with if one's coming from a hot climate. Unless you know how to layer clothes & other does & don'ts for the winter.
      I would agree with you that's not a good set up for a farm when all animals just roam around free. I'd myself find it quite challenging & not appealing.
      Not that I am very familiar with farming style in Russia, but it doesn't sound like that would be typical farm set up either. Back in late 18th -early 19th century I believe, Russian peasants would take their animals into the house. There were few research done how that was not a healthy lifestyle for humans due to the poor air quality etc..hence I'd assume nowadays farms in Russia are not run that way.
      Has your lifestyle changed to the better since then?
      I did hear your eldest on not having friends & being isolated on the farm. Moving is always hard on teenagers to begin with, yet not having friends would be even more challenging.
      If you've moved to other area, might be worth looking up 'Pehrviye' - it's a youth movement that calls for being proactive, they talk about patriotic values, how to be a good friend etc. It's an extra curriculum activity for young Russians. Might be something that would help your boys to find friends. That would definitely help them to learn Russian quicker.
      God's speed in getting settled in Russia!

    I sm Russian, live in Florida. We moved from NY, because in Florida there’s religious exemption from vaccination. In Russia you also can choose not to vaccinate your kids by law, you will just have a lot of headache with school nurse, cause they don’t know laws, or choose to ignore it. Your kids can make money by tutoring other kids, teaching them English. This way they will make friends

    I like the vibes of this father, he sounds like a funny russian uncle. Pretty sure this family will fit well. I noticed that most of the western expats rate language difficulties as number one barrier in adaptation period. No surprise here, but i guess something can be done on a government level to provide better/easier programs of language learning for people of different ages and needs. From my experience the best way to learn is to have casual conversations with people of same interests on daily basis. Anyway, it's sad, that place you call home is not what it used to be anymore, but we happy, that you can find peace among us, in this beautiful and endless land. God bless your family.

    Leo, Chantal, hello, I would like to give you a general idea of the education that exists in Russia, so that it would be easier for you to understand the situation. First of all, I will say that there is practically no unemployment in Russia, all specialties are in demand, especially technical ones, where work needs to be done manually, machine adjusters, carpenters, locksmiths, welders. chefs, pastry chefs, agronomists and others. In Russia, schooling lasts for 11 years, and all tuition is free. The level of education in all schools is about the same, as a rule, they may have different educational programs, but they all comply with the norms of the law on education. In Russia, it makes no sense to choose a school tied to a prestigious place of residence, or an expensive fee-paying school. All of these are municipal, state-funded schools with good quality education. There is a prestigious, public, free school, but this is a school, as a rule, with in-depth study of certain areas of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology with a capital letter, children who already have aptitudes for these sciences and who plan to study at the university in the future. study there. In municipal schools, education lasts 11 years. After the ninth grade, exams are taken, after which you can continue your studies at college or stay in school for another 2 years. After the 11th grade, exams are taken, and, as a rule, those who plan to study at universities graduate from the tenth and eleventh grades. College tuition after the ninth grade is free. Tuition at the university at the expense of the state is also free. To do this, you need to take the exams at school after the eleventh grade with high scores. You can also study at the university on a fee-based basis if you did not enroll at the expense of the state. In any case, studying at the university is not worth the huge sums that are paid for studying at educational institutions in the United States.
    You can also study at the university at the expense of a future employer, such a program is called targeted training. Such a program is very common in many universities, and you can sign a contract with any company study in a certain specialty, and after studying at the university, a young person goes to work for such a company and will have to work there for several years. In colleges in Russia, students study after the 9th grade, as I have already said, after the 9th grade, college tuition is free. the fact is that colleges have many different programs in different specialties: commerce, entrepreneurship, agriculture, computers, technical specialties, a very large selection. pay attention to your sons, it makes sense to pay attention to their desires regarding their future profession in order to choose a suitable college in advance if they want to go there. In any case, I wanted to say that there is no point in specifically looking for some school that, in your opinion, is more prestigious or less criminal in Russia. In Russia, all schools are almost the same, as a rule, all children just go to the school closest to their home. But in Russia there is no strong sports movement in schools, colleges and universities, and to receive a grant for training at the expense of a strong sports team - no, there is no such thing in Russia. It is easier to conclude an agreement with the municipality or with any enterprise on targeted training at a university, then upon graduation the student immediately goes to work for a specific company It is important to remember that college tuition is free. Sorry for such a long period of study. as freely and safely as possible, the absolute majority of Russians will always come to your aid, even this gloomy neighbor, if trouble hapthiens, will be the first to give you a helping hand, know this!❤

    И забавно, эти ребята хотят в школу, но пока нет возможности, а вот семьи из Австралии и Канады не хотят детей отдать в местный садик, а дети очень быстро изучили бы язык и поняли наших людей, потом этот опыт передали бы родителям.
