@@Naokarma yeah but it's not "called wiggle bomb", *he* calls it wiggle bomb. Those are very different things, and if someone wants to know more they need to know what the community actually calls it otherwise they aren't going to find much.
For anyone wondering about the Amiibo use, Amiibos don't remove any skill from the run, just the RNG of getting a beetle and some bananas. There are separate leaderboards without them but most top runners prefer the Amiibo category.
Also, player 5 holds BOTH Amiibo and no Amiibo WRs which is insane. He is also the first runner to hit the sub 25 barrier in BOTH categories. (sub 25 means world record under 25 minutes) He's such a legend!
what i love in the history of this run is all the improvements of the great plateau, if one day we find out it’s possible to skip it, the run might be done in less than 10 min but some magic will be lost
It’s not possible to skip it. Insta death regardless of where you are in the world, and if you manage to prevent the entire map from loading in, you won’t be able to complete any of the boss fights.
I think that’s why I prefer the old runs even if BLSS has cut down a significant time in the runs just because I think the BTBs are so much more fun to watch. Still, I would love to see how much farther the community can go, even if it means implementing the “less fun” tricks

If there's one thing I've learned from watching ACE in speed runs, pretty much anything can be possible, it's just whether or not it's engaging enough for the runner and the audience to implement it lol
@@Kass686 the way it works is it checks if you have the paraglider and if you don't you instantly void out when getting off the plateau. It seems that Ace is impossible on the switch OS.
I'm not interested in speedrunning really at all, but even as an outsider I can tell that Linkus is filling an absolutely essential role for the community. Deciphering all the complexities into an entertaining and compact video is unfathomably valuable.
this speedrun is getting very cool. a lot of speedruns just kinda break as soon as newer and better tricks are discovered but here they're using basically all of the tricks developed in different places. awesome

Current no amiibo route for Attack up is to BLSS from the temple of time to a field in Ridgeland, pick up four Razorshrooms, then BLSS to Hyrule Castle. The no amiibo route has been streamlined into the amiibo route with one detour on the way to Hyrule Castle.

This is amazing. I'm not much of a speedrunner, but I love getting to see how much effort and practice goes into making these routes work. At some point I want to try out some of these glitches though. I successfully pulled off the Shrine of Resurrection escape once, but haven't had the time lately for any others.
Seems like TerminalMontage has to create a new video involving Game Genie possessing Link to go faster with the Wiggle Bomb glitch; like a second/master quest.

The game respawns you back on the Plateau. There's a "death plane" that surrounds the Plateau before you get the Paraglider, and it disappears after you get it. So no matter how far out you can fly or whether or not you can survive the fall, the game still won't let you leave the Plateau until you get the Paraglider.
yep - you'd think you could just damage cancel, but the game checks for a paraglider soo you physically can't leave early. Believe me, efforts have been made
Because both bombs have a two explosions. One is wind and the other the actually explosion. If you drop the second bomb too early(too close to first bomb) it will explode and that can even mess up your launch. That's why they call them Windbombs since the wind impact is what makes this possible.
Are there any tips for holding your controller for flicking in bowslide? I'm so slow and always end up letting go, just wondering how some people do it so fast.
