Some people missed that in 05:55 when Draven threw a sword to Riven, he actually did that to cut the chain in order to give Riven a fair fight against him. You can see it in 06:31
It's also her own runeblade that she shattered after she deserted, which is also her weapon in the game, just a huge buster sword like Guts from Berserk. Love that for her
Also the Runeblade is a legendary weapon sought after in the sisterhood of war. Draven is a cocky mofo that’s why he was willing to give Riven the blade, to put on a good show.
Jhin is an interesting character and his teaser had the community going wild because only a few details were revealed. Ingame he's also one of those characters that are popular but generally doesn't feel like it's overtuned, his playstyle is based around his fourth attack doing incredible damage and he has a short cooldown/reload time after. Fun little detail, when you saw Camille's soldiers explode into colour that was most likely Jhin's view because in reality those would be explosions of blood and body parts.

14:19 The cool part about this frame it's that all the explotions are actually the guys who got stuck in the flower traps getting blowed up, since Jhin sees death as art. His weapon have 4 shots, being the 4th one the deadliest, so if you count in the scenes, he shot 3 times and the 4th are loaded and ready to fire, but instead he bows to her to hide the last shot and "end" his piano performance.

She's originally predicted to show up in Arcane but she didn't.. well since the Ferros Clan was mentioned by Mel. People are hoping for Camille to appear in Season 2! 16:00 Jhin's is in Piltover. Cause Camille is there with a bunch of Enforcers! 18:16 Jhin is a VERY wanted man. A prolific serial killer. Camille is attempting to arrest him there.
The bow by Jhin for me has two meanings... 1) He bows because he treats all his works (killing) an art 2) Because he is obsessed with the number 4. In the game, his 4th attack is a guaranteed critical hit. If you look closely, he shot Camille 3 times and clearly missing her intentionally to make her go to where he wants her to be .. in front of his shoulder cannon (why he bows to aim it). Edit: Also, if you look closely, you will notice Jhin's gun changes color after the first 3 shots, signalling the 4th shot is a deadly one.

In his cinematic he shots bullets, but whenever it penetrates different people they display huge displays of art instead of blood splatter for example and their bodies look like beautiful artwork. Also you can clearly see any gore or blood related thing is turned into further art, cause he only sees the beauty in death and chaos. He’s like a dangerous psychopath/serial killer. Which are usually pretty intelligent people to get away with what they do.

Actually I'm not a league of legends player I'm not interested in the game at all but I loved the cinimatics way earlier then the realisation of arcane.
Riven's story is probably one of my favorites, and since there are no other cinematics about her, I feel obligated to give an explanation of her lore She grew up as an orphaned farmer in Noxus. She didn't know much of what was going on in the world, but she always idolized the army, imagining the brave warriors fighting as a family to protect their country. Therefore, when she became of age, she enlisted in the army, training with incredible determination. Her superiors quickly noticed both her strength and skill in combat, so she was given the runic blade, a giant magic sword, both extremely strong and light at the same time, with the ability to shield its wielder from harm. She also became very close to a lot of her comrades in her warband, even referring to them as sisters. She had finaly made a family When the time came for her to join an actual war, it didn't exactly turn out to be a war to defend her own country. They were going overseas, to Ionia. She had heard they had employed the help of a certain Zaunite scientist. Riven grew increasingly suspicious. Why were they transporting so many chemicals and explosives? Why were they going to invade Ionia, who had done nothing to threaten Noxus? Riven just did what she had done all her life and continued to follow orders, despite the seed of doubt that was forming inside her. When they started their campaign in Ionia, it quickly became clear that the land itself did not welcome them there, throwing storm after storm at them. In the end, Riven's warband was separated from the others. As Ionian resistance fighters had discovered them, Riven called out for her allies, expecting help. However, the only thing she got was a flaming arrow headed straight for their wagon, and that's when she realized: her worst fears turned out to be true. She quickly drew her sword, being shielded by it while watching the arrow hit the explosives in the wagon. Then, everything went aflame. Noxians, Ionians, they all died gruesome deaths. In the flames, Riven could finally see the truth. Noxus was no great and benevolent force, it was a megalomaniac empire that would stop at nothing to increase its power. After the flames died down, Riven was the sole survivor in her unit. She did the only thing she could do at this point and walked away. She had to turn her back on her family, her friends, every single bond she had made in her life. Her memories of what happened after are hazy, but when she woke up the next morning, her blade was next to her, shattered into many pieces. However, it was clear that its magic was still active, so even though she hated it and everything it stood for, she was forced to take the blade with her, lest it fall into Noxian hands. With nothing to do and nobody to turn to, she began to wander Ionia, hoping she could find some way to forgive herself and find inner peace. Eventually, she reached a village, where an elderly couple took her in with open arms, even after realizing she was a Noxian, an enemy. She was overwhelmed by their kindness and hospitality, and decided to repay them by working at their farm, keeping a low profile to avoid any run-ins with Ionians who wouldn't take so kindly to a Noxian. Time passed. Riven thoroughly enjoyed her life and her new family, slowly learning the Ionian language. One day, however, while she was out in the fields, she spotted a bunch of figures moving out toward her. But it wasn't the Noxians coming to take her back. No, these people were Ionian. They claimed she had killed the village's elder. She submitted to them, unwilling to fight, and followed them into a courtroom, where she was told to give her side of the story. Used to life in Noxus, Riven was confused. They were going to hear her out and try to give her a fair punishment, and not just throw her into the arena? She told them she didn't remember killing any elder. The villagers showed her that their master had a piece of her blade sticking out of him when he died. Her memories of the night after she left Noxus began flooding back. She had asked the elder to destroy her blade, but when he did, it exploded into all those pieces, one of them hitting him in the neck. After touching the blade and feeling its destructive powers themselves, the villagers believed her story. She was sentenced to community service and forgiven for the accident that caused the master's death. Additionally, a certain pony-tailed swordsman is no longer suspected of being the killer. Riven was forgiven. As a Noxian, that was completely unheard of for her. But she decided to give back to the people that had shown her, a foreigner, an enemy, so much kindness and tolerance. She settled down, living a quiet life as a simple Ionian farmer. But just like all good things, this wouldn't last. Noxus never forgave her for deserting, but more importantly, they needed their toy back. Now, about a decade after the invasion began, they're about to get it back. One quiet day, Riven, standing in the fields, sees the all too familiar sight of figures approaching in the distance. This time, however, she knew what has happening. Her sisters had come back for her. She touched the hilt of her blade with her finger. The Ionians had lost so much to Noxus, and they had given her so much. So now, for the sake of her new family, she chose not to fight. She didn't want any more blood spilled on Ionian land, so she surrendered. Noxus was not going to grace her with a just trial or anything of the sort. She was thrown into the arena and condemned to fight for her life. And that is where the story ends, leading directly into the cinematic you just saw. Edit: Also, a small detail about the cinematic. When Draven threw that blade at Riven, he didn't try to kill her. He gave her her blade in order to make it a fair fight. You can see after he throws it, that it actually severed the chains, meaning Draven didn't miss; he hit his target perfectly.

My guess is that Camille could be the elderly lady from the council, probably severely wounded due to Jinx' attack I could see her requiring intensive treatment.

Jhin, the one wearing a theater mask, is a criminal psychopath who believes murder is art. He was trying to lure Camille onto the stage, exactly where he wants her to be. He is an artist, a performer. His masterpiece cannot be done off the stage. He fired 3 shots, saving his fourth. (This is his ult which is called Curtain Call where he can fire up to four shots with the fourth being the deadliest.) You can see his gun glowing when he bows. He's ready to shoot for the finale. The virtuoso, indeed.
Some lore stuff if you're interested : - The "charismatic" guy with a mask is named Jhin , he's a murderer who thinks killing is an art. He bowed to Camille (a character i can't tell too much about cause she may be in arcane season 2) - It is as you said a war between Ionia and Noxus but we don't know when , there have been severall ones between the two and this one is not the main one , since Yasuo was not in the main one. The other characters involved are Karma , Akali , Kennen and the main one Irelia , she was like the hero of the resistance during the first Noxian invasion. - The third one in the arena , it's definitly in Noxus. The an is named Draven , one of the bigger figures of Noxus empire and the white haired girl is Riven. She was in the Noxian army during the first Ionia invasion , but when she saw what Noxus did , even to their own people , she deserted. During this war , she killed Yauso's master. Yasuo was falsely accused of the murder cause it was caused by a "wind" attack , Riven can also use them. In the game they have many interactions when they're in the same game. Again the lore of Riven stopped when she deserted so we don't really know when this scene happened , the most probable theory is that she was caught by Noxus and thrown to fighting pitts as a punition for her desertion.
There is a trilogy of stories in which Noxus sends multiple soldiers, some with magical swords like Riven, to capture her and bring her back to Noxus. Awaken is set after these stories.
Jhin the piano guy has a weapon that 4 shots loaded. And his 4th shot is the most powerful one. When he bows in the last scene we are seeing that he actually shows to the viewers his 4th shot. Ohhh fuck yes, been waiting for this, so excited. Bit of background: 1. Guy with the mask is Jhin, a serial killer who sees murder as art. The lady with the blade legs he fights, is called Camille, she's from Piltover, she's the boss of a mercenary organization, they usually send her to do the dirty work, and yeah, she's been looking for Jhin. 2. The colosseum place is Draven's arena in Noxus, Draven being the guy with the spinning blades, he looks bored until Riven shows up, the gladiator lady with the black face paint, she's the one who mistakenly murdered elder Souma, Yasuo and Yone's master, hence why Yone thought Yasuo was the one who killed the elder. That's the reason why Riven's basically amongst the main attractions of the arena, they use her for people's entertainment. 3. The place where the big war is taking place is Ionia. It depicts the invasion of Noxus. Main Lady in red with the long hair is called Irelia, she's a blade dancer, an art where she, well... Dances when fighting, and the blades around her move accordingly. She protects Karma, the lady in green who gave Irelia a magic shield, Karma is not her actual name but rather the name of the spirit that possesses her, which makes her the one all the people in Ionia look up to (since magic is very important there). Then there's Akali, which I don't need to explain to you who she is, you met her plenty of times already, she's awesome. Same thing with Yasuo. The Yordle-ninja guy is called Kennen, has electric powers. The big guy with the axe is Sion, he's actually dead, but is being kept alive by blood magic, to get used as a weapon by Noxus. And this overall, are just the basic infos to make you understand a bit and get acquainted with the characters😉

AWAKEN is such a masterpiece of modern audio/visual storytelling.. Watch it again and look at how the animation flows with the music.. How Camile swings herself through the ceiling.. Karma's arm gestures with the violins.. Akali's bombs synced with the percussion rolls, everything is so perfect.. Riot Games animation and music department deserves more recognition.

14:06 You didn't mention this tiny yordle, but he's an important character. His name is Kennen. He is the leader of the ninja sect called "kinkou" in Ionia, which includes Shen, Akali and Zed. He is a powerful and important ninja yordle known as Akali's master who taught Akali the art of kinkou while in the kinkou school.

That arena is actually a high security prison where only that worst offenders of Noxus end up, and upon seeing Riven rise into it, Draven knows she's done something serious against Noxus but not quite what, and decides to fight her himself despite their friendship 11:21 that is Irelai (Ionian), yes it is Ionia 11:50 that is Camille (Piltovian), she is an agent of the law, that operates outside of it, kinda secret agent-like, her body is heavily augmented with hextech (she's actually over 80 years old) and is closely related to Caitlyn and Jayce, might show up in Arcane further down the road 13:00 you didn't ask about him but the big guy is Sion (Noxian) and yes this is the war between Noxus and Ionia 13:45 they are Karma (Ionian), the lady in the robes casting spells, and yes Akali (Ionian) running through 14:00 it's Yasuo (Ionian) of course and a few moments later Kennen (Yordle), the one spitting electricity everywhere, who has lived in and fought with Ionia for centuries 16:00 i'm assuming it was somewhere in Piltover/Zaun, otherwise Camille would have no need to be there as she is part of the police force there, but don't quote me on it 17:20 ah you wrapped back around to Kennen, see earlier ^^^ 17:40 and Sion, also up ^^^, this is what i get for typing it as the video plays 18:00 Riven story also up there ^^^ XD 18:25 Jhin likes to kill things, he's a very artsy person and to him there is beauty in death, nothing more beautiful in fact, and he travels the world just killing people to make beautiful art, there were already several dead people in the theatre, you mentioned an arm and asked who's it was earlier in the video, and yes he was probably luring Camille and her troops in to turn them into art as well. you can watch his trailer to see death as he sees it in his mind

As someone who has been playing LoL from the early days, I grew more tired of the game and more interested in the lore (back then there was no lore :v). Since the debut of Arcane I've been binged watching all the reaction of newcomers, I got bored after a few days of watching the same reaction from multiple youtubers, but something from your channel keep pulling me back for more :D Here's one subscribe, keep doing what're doing, best of wishes for u guys 👍
I think people love this one the most because there are multiple shots with new champions coming to the rescue. Below is a champ list a brief description to help. Jhin- Artist, Virtuoso, Psychopath, Finds art and beauty in bloodshed. Camille- Piltover noble, Part human part robot, Improves herself with technology (think marvel nebula), Swords for legs, hookshots on hips. Draven- Noxus, Swinging swords, crazy, loves bloodshed. Riven- Sword, Fighter, Captive of Draven. Irelia- Ionia, Controls Blades Karma- Sheilder support, Saves Irelia from Sion smash, green magic. Sion- Noxus war leader, Fighter, Undead Akali- Ninja, uses disguise and mobility. Yasuo- Swordsman, Controls wind, Tornados Kennen- Yordle, Ninja, Electircal magic. If you don't know what yordles they are the furry people in the Pentakill video. Hope this helps!
Not sure if this has been mentioned in the past but one of my favorite things about these cinematics is they always show off the character using their abilities in game, so almost all of these cool things that the characters are doing, are exactly what their characters do in the game. Examples are akalis smoke screen, Jhins mines, rivens headbut on draven, Camille grappling to the ceiling etc. even in the warriors video when Sylas created that magical sword, it wasn’t a random sword, that was an exact copy of Garens sword who he was beating up, his magic is to steal other characters ultimate abilities in game. Small little detail in this one is when Camille is strutting in, when she blinks her eyes change colors (you were right, she is very much robotic) well in game she has an adaptive shield, depending on what damage type the OTHER champion that hits her is, she will gain a shield specific to that damage type, and it’ll be orange or blue. So if she gets hit by physical damage, she will get a small physical only shield that’s orange, same for magic damage. I assume her body was trying to figure out what the correct choice for the shield was and that’s why her eyes were changing colors quickly as she analyzed. Really really hope she is in season 2 of arcane.
You'll love Jhin. He is one of the best characters in LoL for his design and lore. He's a killer but an artist first and foremost. He is murderer, but sees the deaths of his victims as pieces of art. "I never hurt anyone. Its is the *performance* that kill" - is once of his voice lines in game. I suggest you give the teaser for Jhin a watch, its shows what its looks like when people die in the eyes of Jhin.
Since his release, jhin it's one of the best designed characters in lol, i love how when you saw him for the 1st time you already know he is top notch Btw, what we see in the video it's the 2nd Noxian invasion, there is a high chance that we see the 1st during arcane 2 because, (minor spoilers) there is a certain zaunite scientific who will be part of it
Hi there! I was one of the ones who recommended that you watch Awaken. Here's a few details on some of the characters in the scenes. 1. Jhin is in fact the piano player. He's a serial killer. A murderer. And a brutal one at that. For Jhin, everything must be perfect. His killings are an art. Life is a performance. In the final act of a performance, that's when he makes the kill. But until that point, there must be an entire set up for it. Where Jinx may be guns blazing and chaos, Jhin's methods are precise and perfect. He infuses his gun with dark magics that cause his victims to sprout into beautiful pieces of art when they die. A bullet will pierce a body and inflict a wound, but the gore that is a result will in fact be turned into an illusion; a beautiful piece of art. That's why if you see his character trailer, everyone he kills turns into works of beauty instead of falling limp. He is an artist, and everything must be perfect. He's pretty messed up underneath his clothing, being all disfigured, and "beneath my mask, is another mask". You may notice in the video that the explosions in the background are somewhat fancy and ostentatious. He truly is one of my top 2 favourite characters of all time. 2. Riven is an exile. I don't know much about her other than that (allegedly) she's the one who killed Yasuo's master and framed him for it, which is why Yone went out to kill Yasuo (his brother) and Yasuo killed him in self-defence. Riven wields a runic blade (the one that Draven throws at her). She's a badass fighter turned into a bit of an exile. 3. Draven. WELCOME TO THE LEAGUE OF DRAVEN. All i know, and all you kind of really need to know is that he's obsessed with himself. Reeeeeally obsessed. Brother to Darius, the two are pretty different. Draven views himself as an alpha chad that wants to make sure his people continuously view him as a chad too. Draven hates not being the centre of attention. Notice how he throws his axes and then catches them afterwards. 4. Irelia. Bladesinger. Controls flying blades and just wants to protect her people. From Ionia 5. Camille. Hextech cyborg lady. Has blades for feet (picture the villain in the first Kingsmen movie). Slice and dice. Grappling hook. Works with the Piltover enforcers I think. Picture RoboCop 5. Sion. Pretty much The Mountain from game of thrones. Resurrected (kinda) and basically fed magical steroids. His bottom jaw is in fact the crown (headwear) of a person he killed, named Jarvan II. Has a huge-ass war axe and has a literal furnace in his torso. He's from Noxus. 6. Karma is the lady in green who shielded Irelia. 7. The little pikachu looking hamster was Kennen. I will only ever refer to him as pikachu. Sorry if this doesn't cover everything/ isn't 100% accurate, but I just OBVIOUSLY love Jhin and had to make a comment ahaha. My time has come: 1) Yes, that is Jhin. He's an artist, always seeking perfection in his performances. I have little doubt he can play piano, likely violin or cello as well. He does have a thing for the number four, and as music is counted in groupings of threes and fours... 2) Noxus, where Mel's from, the always hungry empire. Note the red and black colors of Noxus in the arena, as well as the ravens who clean up after the fights in more ways than one. The guy is Draven, former soldier turned fighter and owner of the pit. Few can challenge him; he was exicted at the chance to fight and show off his moves with a worthy opponent (which is why he returned Riven's broken runic sword before jumping down). 3) Irelia. She was a young weaver child when Noxus destroyed her home in the first invasion. She spun her dancing and magic into her blades, and as a young woman cut off the arm of the lead Noxian general (Swain, don't worry, he got his arm replaced and now wields [yes, wields] a demon name-dropped in the Bible) and pushed Noxus back. She leads the Ionian forces against Noxus to protect her home and for revenge, while Noxus continues trying to conquer Ionia for it's raw magic and resources.* 4) Camille. The strut is due to her hextech blade legs. She's essentially Piltover's Catwoman meets Lin Beifong, focused on keeping things under her control. She's from a powerful family and is very, very determined to keep her streets clean (if you catch my undercity drift). 5) No, Draven's spinny-ma-jig did not turn into Riven's sword. Short run down: Riven was a Noxian soldier during the Ionian invasion (see 3 and Irelia). She was a one woman army, known to Ionians as "the butcher". But unlike Swain and most of Noxus, Riven awoke to the atrocities she was committing. She sought redemption, her runic sword was shattered by an Ionian master who was killed in the act of "destroying" it, she had a thing with Yasuo (not like that but yes like that), then returned to Noxus and lives as a farmer trying to remain hidden because the blade cannot fall into the wrong hands. Guess who had it when she was captured for that spectacle fight? Draven. But only the super ego of Draven would throw back an ancient sword so he could have a worthy fight (think Vegeta). -Draven's weapons are giant spinning axes that he throws. That spinny-ma-jig was referencing them. -Draven is Darius' twin, yes, that Darius who slew the king in the Freljord and emancipated the slave girl. They were orphans, grew up in the streets of Noxus, became soldiers. Draven wanted more fame and glory so he joined the gladiators, Darius believes in Noxus so much he continued in the military, eventually becoming one of three leading Noxus. -Those three leaders are called the Trifarix/ Coucil of Three, and are Swain, Darius, and The Faceless (totally not LeBlanc, don't even worry about it). 6) "Is this Noxus vs Ionia?" The correct answer is "when is it not". *Add on here: Noxus is after Ionian magic. Why? You saw the Immortal Bastion in Arcane, the gigantic building Mel and Jayce were "casually" looking at, looks like Minas Morgul x the Sydney Opera House. The Immortal Bastion has been there forever, and holds countless and innumerable secrets. It's where Swain encountered the demon. But perhaps most damningly, it's where Mordekaiser is sealed. Remember the giant guitarist in Pentakill? That's Morde. He's an ancient warlord who was killed, decided death was boring, found a cult who wanted power and when they brought his spirit back to the mortal plane? He killed them. Then it happened again, his mortal body was defeated. Upon returning to Runeterra again he fashioned a body that wouldn't die, one made of the nigh indestructible black iron of Noxus. He conquered the Immortal Bastion and ruled from there for eons, demanding sacrifices and plaguing all of Valoran (the mainland continent of Runeterra; Ionia's an archipelago to the east.) He was defeated by a follower of his, LeBlanc, who along with Vladimir betrayed him and sealed him away within the Bastion itself. They then founded Noxus in the shadow of the Bastion, the people of which all know Mordekaiser already died twice and he _will_ return at some point. They have to be strong, they have to be on top of things, countless will die, but if they don't prepare and keep Mordekaiser from going Attack on Titan in Noxus? The whole world is doomed. That's why Noxian culture is all about expansion, taking resources, gaining more forces in their struggle. Ionia doesn't see it that way, the Ionian Vastaya who are dependent on wild magic even less so, and Noxus has this habit of demanding and conquering instead of diplomacy. tl;dr Mordekaiser is Sauron and Noxus is the Gondor inhabiting Mordor. (If you know the Shadow of Mordor series the crossovers are hilarious.) Or Mordekaiser is Fenrir/ Jormungandr/ Loki/ etc. and Noxus is preparing for Ragnarok in anyway they can. 7) "Is she kind of robotic almost?" Yes. Camille is a hextech cyborg. 8) The yordle is Kennan. He studied with the Kinkou order in Ionia, learning to channel lightning and becoming a core member. He plays like Sonic the Hedgehog meets Pikachu. 9) The giant flaming stomach guy is Sion, he's essentially a reanimated zombie hellbent on destruction, courtesy of The Black Rose (a secret cabal of Noxus totally not led by LeBlanc) and The Crimson Circle (a cult Vladimir formed when he broke away from The Black Rose, definitely not because LeBlanc turned him down and he was salty). Sion's always reanimated via Vlad's hemomancy and such when Noxus wants to use him; he killed the former Demacian king and wears his crown as a jaw. 10) More on Jhin: he's a serial killer. His vision of what art truly is aligns with Deidara from Naruto, beauty is in the moment of death. But Jhin isn't content on just enjoying death, he wants to create it and help everyone enjoy his artwork. He's the one who set up the concert hall in Piltover, luring Camille and her cronies in. He's the one who left the trap and drew his gun to shepherd and challenge Camille. He's the one who set off the smoke bombs and bowed to Camille, for the beauty of his artwork and to thank Camille for her part in it before she dies in the most fantastically crafted moment with him and all of her minions to witness. That was all him. 11) Yes, Yasuo created the tornado. He can manipulate wind with his sword (like he did in True Damage when he turned the fan the other way for Ekko's second verse). And more fun fact: He always wanted to be a musician, but his family demanded he study the blade. Then after shenanigans and some brother killing he lives life on the run. But in the alternate realities he creates the beats for K/DA and True Damage (as confirmed by Seraphine's blog). 12) Each champ is crafted and designed to be unique so you can tell at a glance who's coming after you in a team fight and what moves they have. They do that via silhouette, poses and items. That's why you can tell Viego from Sylas from Sett in an instant regardless of their skins or colors, even though they're all in the running for "tall dark and handsome with pants and abs". Viego hunches over as he walks, wielding his family's sword that killed and undead-ed him. Sylas leans forward, chains dragging behind. Sett stands tall and proud ready to JoJo anyone with a confident and easy gait. Pull up the models for each of them standing and you'll see what I mean, they could cosplay as each other without trying. But the design team carefully and intentionally makes every champ unique, to the point their splash art is immediately recognizable even when blurred (they use headshots for mini-map positions, you need to know who is where). To anyone who has made it this far, hope you enjoyed. You will NOT learn any of this by playing League of Legends. Each champ has voice lines and interactions that provide easter eggs and such in game, but the worldbuilding is done via stories in their bios. If you're like me and prefer story and lore, read up before you play. Then you'll understand the voice lines more and when you get a unique interaction (like Yasuo to Riven or the various ways Jinx and Vi interact) it will make sense. If you go in and play hoping to get any explanation? You won't get any. But you can always read stories, and the game isn't necessary (though knowing the champ abilities will enhance how you visualize the stories).
I found you yesterday. Watched your whole League of Legends reactions and I am feeling so grateful. So lovely! ☺ And now you got to know my favorite character out of any fictional work: Irelia! The Blade Dancer! (The red girl with the flying blades) She is the heroine of Navori placidium where she stopped the invasion of Noxus and beat their general (Another League Champion named Swain). She is one of the most memorial fighters in the Ionia-Noxus war. Her story is a little bit tragic, but this is the same with the most League characters as you noticed already. Thank you for sharing your feelings with us!
Fun fact: Jihn sees all his killing as art cuz he's a psychopath, but the traps he uses aren't magical at all. So that means there's a good chance that the cool frame where he bows down and all the purple particles are flying around, that's probably just smoke and bloodsplatter, just seen from Jihn's point of view.

The Zed comics prove this thinking is wrong, he does put illusion magic in his weapons to make the victims have those artistic figures, particles, etc. It's just an illusion tho, Zed, Shen and Kayn stated that when they touched the golden blood it soon turned to red again for example.
Weirdly specific reaction recommendation: Legends of Bilgewater. It's a series of 4 short audio dramas (plus an intro and conclusion) set in Bilgewater about some of the Bilgewater champions, told as a handful of tall tales from the perspective of a local drunk. Highly recommend it.
Again, it is an audio drama, so might not really be your thing, but i'd still give it a listen. I also recommend reading the champion bios and/or short stories on Universe, if not as reactions then just on your own time for some additional context.
So in the game, Jhin's 4th auto attack does loads of damage because he is obsessed with the number 4 and in the cinematic he fired 3 shots which means his next shot will do a lot of damage. There is a comic set after this where Jhin is alive so we can assume that either he hit Camille (The scissor legs lady) and really hurt her or he missed but he escaped.
Draven, the guy who is overseeing the gladiator pit is like the best gladiator of all time. Not only has he never been beaten but he does additional tricks with his twirling axes that he throws and juggles while he fights just to further amuse the crowd. He’s got extreme ego. The sword he throws at riven is her own sword (and is of great significance to her character) and he isn’t trying to hurt her, he is breaking her chain to make the fight fair because he recognizes she is the only one that doesn’t bore him and is worth fighting. He smiles when he jumps off his balcony because he is genuinely excited for the challenge
I think both of you have seen Camille before at one of Wild Rift cinematics that you two were react to it. Also, the women with the blades is Irelia, the women with some kind of magical power is Karma and the electric power ninja yordle is Kennen.

there is SO much to talk about here, I don't know where to start! The Noxus invasion of Ionia has been in lore for a LONG time and is highly anticipated for more details. Jhin is a notorious serial killer with a background of theatre and music; he finds death beautiful. He also is obsessed with the number 4. When Jhin bows to Camille, he has in his gun the 4th shot specifically saved for Camille. He did that whole thing just to give Camille a beautiful death! It's HIS performance for her. FYI about Riven... I highly recommend getting into reading the character stories in your spare time. The one between Riven and Yasuo is beautiful called Confessions of a Broken Blade and goes into detail about why Riven wields a broken sword and why she's inevitably slated to be captured by Noxus. Your guys' hype is contagious!
"Rise "for the league worlds championship 2018 is by far my favorite cinematic and I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned more actually, as I think most people would agree it was the standout against the others (maybe I'm just old? lol). Maybe it's just that the lore from the worlds cinematics don't come from the champions backstories or something, but the fact that the cinematics are animated depictions of real life events (Faker's iconic Ryze, and so on) make it so much more impactful for me. After reviewing the top tier cinematic, you should also do the same with the top tier theme/login screen. The likes of : Kindred Theme, Jhin Theme, Camille ( the one you talk about at 11:50) Theme, Irelia theme, Pantheon theme,Vi Theme and some others are just crazy good you won't belive it. A quick context on Warriors. In the earliest days of League, before the "Great Lore Retconn", there was a Noxian invasion of Ionia within the game lore. It was a major lore piece which essentially set the stage for the old lore (The War Institute), and the resolution of the conflict was Noxus was allowed to keep the lands they took. This event, after the Retconn, seems to have been kept and explains why there are fights between Noxus and Ionia. While the war had been "resolved" there was still skirmishes and border fights. All the Ionian champions shown fought against the Noxian invasion and they were re-worked to reflect the tensions of Noxians living on Ionian land. Before the Retconn Riot had iconically made Noxus and Demacia antagonists and protagonists (respectively). Post-Retconn they put a more gray on both sides. Noxus is sort of a militaristic meritocracy, granting the lands they "conquer" the freedom to do as they wish with the promise their work will be awarded. Demacia, on the other hand, was turned essentially into a mage-phobic police state. They created a hypocrisy where Demacia has "mage-hunuters" who go around and look for mages and ultimately imprison them. The mage who helped Garen is Lux, his sister and both members of a family who served the King of Demacia for generations. The guy with the chains was Sylas, a mage whose was imprisoned as a child by Demacia and spent his entire life in prison.

That's incorrect, he actually uses magic in his traps to make them look like paint or flowers. That's why he says "This woud be so much easier if blood came in more colours"

i don't know if anyone else has mentioned it, but jhin is a piltover serial killer. he sees murder as art, that's why everything he sees is beautiful and vibrant, but you have to understand that he's deranged, and even though we're seeing everything as vibrant and beautiful, that's how HE sees it. there's probably explosions of blood and grotesqueness going on from the traps those guards step in, but it's lovely in his eyes. the other woman you thought was robotic is camille. she's a super upper-class piltover enforcer from a prestigious house who fights to keep order and to especially make sure her house maintains its aristocracy rule (fyi, she probably has a pretty big chance of being in season 2 of arcane). she thinks human emotions get in the way of reason and has basically become devoid of emotion by roboticizing herself to the point of stoic cruelty, which is an odd dichotomy with jhin, who is both cruel but enraptures himself in a psychotic human emotion. love the reaction, and really happy you guys are enjoying the league universe as much as you are
Hey, I would suggest you guys react to the Champion's voicelines. Some of their voicelines are really emotional and it could give you guys more info about the character's background and personality. Been enjoying your vids for quite a while now, keep it up :)
Some champions' voicelines were written years ago and if you react to voicelines you will see many things related to arcane. Cinematics, voicelines, arcane everything about league is actually related even tough some of them were made 6 or 7 years ago

Just some little fun facts for you guys , the guy in the Noxus fight pit is Draven , he is Darius brother ) and riven is here because she deserted after the first ionian vs noxus war , the yordle pikachu vibes is Kennen ( a ninja of Ionian like akali and Shen who u saw in akali's cinematic) and the big noxus guy is Sion , an ancient Noxus warrior who's back to life because he was freaking good at genocide basically , and jhin (in the game) as a mechanic where his 4th shot deal a lot of damage , in the cinematic he shot 3 times then bowed and u can see he as the gun loaded with the fourth bullet , he just love making a beautiful scene for the last act ( he actually as a trailer if u guys want to know more about him) and u guessed right most of the important things , ur getting really good at this lore thing ! as always love from france , keep it up . Lore Time Bois! riven: noxus sent child warriors to ionia to conquer the land. Riven was one of them. When riven witnessed noxus using chemical weapons (produced by singed), she started to rebell Against noxus. Shes in a fighting pit of noxus, which are controlled by Draven Draven: hes the Brother of Darius. They are both powerful people in the noxian empire. Draven controls the fighting pits. His personality is built around his ego (tbf, hes a strong dude). Camille: the girl fighting jhin ist camille, the enforcer (not police, more like a private debt collector and fighter) of house ferros (mentioned in arcane by mel in episode one). Shes actually 80+. Camille got augmented to fullfil her duties as a private enforcer for her clan. The augmentations include severe body modifications like mechanical eyes, ropecasters on hip (like in attack on titan) an blades for legs. She was sent to the theater to capture jhin. Jhin: Jhin is an Artist, funded by wealthy ionians, and actually comes from there. Would be ok if he wouldnt also be a serial killer obsessed with the number 4. He kills people in artistical ways. At this time hes in a piltovan theater, luring camille into a trap (yes, he can play the piano) The Ionian Stuff. Characters: Yasuo, Akali, Irelia, Kennen, Karma, Sion The Ionian part impictures the Invasion of noxus into ionia. Like i stated in a comment under the last video (kin of a stained blade) the ionian dont really fight as an army, as there is nor real state-like structure to ionia. So the groups all fight by themselves. Irelia is a weaver who is able to controll magic blades with her dance. Due to her powers the people look up to her in times of war as their defender.

The Knife/Sword that Draven throws at Riven while her back is turned is actually Rivens weapon of choice in game, also not sure if you noticed but when Draven threw Rivens weapon at her he was actually breaking her chains so that he could fight her freely. Draven is extremely cocky lol. Also yes the lady going after jhin is Camille and she is part Hextech, most notably her scissor legs (Mommy?) and you're right in the final scene between Jhin and Camille he is bowing. The colourful explosions in the theatre caused by jhins traps are theorised to be the Soldiers previously seen exploding and dying, but because Jhin is a serial killer who sees murder as an art form we are more than likely seeing the explosions through his eyes, hence why the explosions are so colourful and bright. The giant guy with the bright red stomach is Sion, the undead general of the Noxian army, in game he has a very interesting passive ability where when he dies he resurrects for a short period to continue doing damage before he ACTUALLY dies. The Awaken cinematic is full of SO MANY interesting characters. You guys should definitely check out the Star Guardian videos, they're a series of cinematics that were made for the release of the star guardian skin line. I think you guys would really love the cinematic "Wild Magic" which follows two characters who are love birds that were released together, its a short but sweet cinematic. Im glad you guys are enjoying the league universe, a lot of the stories within them are really cool. Unfortunately though theres a lot of champions in League who dont get to appear in cinematics very often that get looked over so I'd even suggest going to the League of Legends official website where they have their champions listed and just checking out some the ones that catch your interest. :D
I haven't seen anyone mention this about Camille yet, but to answer some questions you asked about her, she is INDEED part robot. The entire lower part of her body, hips down, have been replaces with blades for legs and grappling hooks in her hips. This give her the power strut. Now, her lore is very interesting, I do recall a lot of people mentioning to you in past videos that Arcane took liberties with the lore but hers is a BIG one. You see, in Arcane JAYCE invented hextech, while in the regular story it has existed for many, many years and her family is the one importing the crystals (which, fun fact, in regular lore, are the aware mined bodies of crystal scorpions and they are constantly screaming in pain through a magical hivemind like link due to being cut apart but only few humans can hear it. And even then it is very quiet and hard to understand). Camille herself is 80 years old and has been augmented to both extend her life and power her robotic parts. She is ruthless and goes outside the law to protect her family's power by murdering people in Piltover and Zaun alike. Her clan is mentioned ONCE to Mel in Arcane (Clan Ferros) but given how the story of Hextech has been greatly altered, and that given her story she would have murdered Silco day dot, she may never feature in Arcane (unless they argue her family had already worked this out 60 something years ago and just hid it from everyone).
20:58 That guy with the killer goatee is Draven, Darius' brother (If you guys remember the Tales of Runeterra video for Noxus- the one with the king- Darius is the big dude with the axe). Well Draven, the younger brother, is an extreme narcissist and famous reckoner (a Noxian gladiator, basically). He's the champion of the fight pit and the most famous one, drawing in crowds with over-the-top showmanship. In this cinematic, he's actually sitting there spinning the knife and not even paying attention because he's genuinely bored- the fights don't excite him anymore because he always wins. He doesn't even have competitive fights anymore, he just executes people in flashy ways to entertain the crowd. He's disinterested because there's no more challenge for him or any sport to it, kinda like Saitama in One Punch Man being tired of never having a good fight. That's why when Riven starts slapping dudes around he leans forward with interest because now someone has his attention and might be his equal. It's why he joins in himself. The reason he's smiling like that isn't actually because he's really sadistic or particularly wants to hurt her, but because for the first time in years he's having an actual, competitive fight with a worthy opponent and he missed it. He's having fun.

The strutting lady is Camille. She is from Piltover.. In fact, they mention her family in the introduction of the Mel character in Arcane, when they remind her that she is where she is because of that family's support. People are speculating that we might see her in season 2, before her transformation from a normal human into what she becomes (her augments are hextech) The Ionia characters are Irelia, the lady with the magic blades that swirl around, Karma, the enchantress lady with the circle thing on her back, and Kennen, the yordle ninja. The giant from Noxus is called Sion. He died long ago, in the process of killing a Demacian king. He was resurrected with dark magic by a later ruler of Noxus to fight again. It is thought that his jaw is forged from the crown of the king he originally gave his life to slay, which was still in his vice-like grip when he was untombed. He proved so uncontrollable that he was buried again, only to be uncovered a second time by another future leader of Noxus We may also get to see Sion in Season 2, since the king that resurrected him the second time, Swain, is thought to possibly be the mysterious foe that Mel's family talks about.
Another thing I haven’t seen mentioned is that Jhin is actually an Artist so he would’ve set that up to make a “piece of art” in a way, He placed everything perfectly and took a bow for his work

Guy up in box in the gladiatorial arena is called Draven. He's a famous Noxian pit fighter and the brother of Darius. Part of his kit in the game is gaining the adoration of the crowd. He has a pair of "spinning axes" which he mostly throws and catches like boomerangs. Riven, the girl in the pit is an Noxian deserter. She was once a champion of Noxus but had a crisis of conscience after it was implied that she killed Yasuo's master. She has a broken blade that she can pull back together with the power of her will. She wants to right her past by fighting against Noxus.
Each region has a color theme you can pretty much reliably use to determine a champion's original location. -Ionia is silver, pinks and green. -Piltover is shiny copper, steel. -Zaun is dirty copper, but with green. -Noxus is red and black. -Demacia is white, gold and blue. -Bandle City is fluffy. -Shadow Isles is black and blue-green. -Bilgewater is wood and iron and sea theme.

But yeah he is always wearing a mask. 2. Who is this guy? And where is this? 10:42 That guy is named Draven and that is a fighting pit in Noxus. The sword he threw was actually Riven's runic blade so they could have a fair fight. You can see it on the wall behind him at the start. 3. Who is that girl? 11:20 That girl is Irelia, The Blade Dancer and she is from Ionia. She uses her movements to control the blades she wields hence the name "Blade Dancer". She adapted her passion for dance to use in war. 4. Whats her name? 11:51 Her name is Camille and she is from Piltover. She is an elite agent who makes sure everything in Piltover and Zaun go smoothly. I don't know if you noticed but she is a "cyborg" because her legs are blades. Additional information: Jhin's weapon carries 4 bullets, the last one being the strongest. In the bowing scene Jhin has used his first 3 bullets and is going to "kill" Camille with the last one. He layed out the scene with the traps on the ground to create a beautiful show of murder for himself. That is what he calls art.

Jhin is the artist and carnage is the art. His in game passive makes his 4th shot with the gun crit for 100% and it glows red, as you can see it glowing when he bows down. He knew he won that battle and that was his grand finale, his masterpiece. As additional info: he's a serial killer that creates art by murder. To start Awaken is focused on the conflicts of the champions from Ionia, Noxus, and Piltover/Zaun. And yes Ionia is under attack by Noxus. Irelia the women who dances with her blade, leads her people as she is the only one capable of fighting as most of the Ionians which are her people are inexperienced with fighting. Riven the muscular women who wields a sword is an exile, she originally works for Noxus but after seeing the effects of war she broke her blade and sworn that she will aviod conflict and fighting and only use her blade when needed, this is why she isn't using her blade to hurt Draven. Draven is the guy who fought Riven, he is the brother of Darius, and he is incharge of the brawl arena basically the pitfighting arena. Camille the AOT inspired champion is an assassin and probably assigned or paid to kill Jhin. And yes she is a cyborg and she is powered by Hextech. Jhin is a virtuoso and is obsessed with perfection that he killed a lot of people and considers killing an art. And yes he is obsessed with the number 4. Sion is a war hero from the past, he is revered by Noxus and made him the way he is, he now works for Noxus as a brute monster capable of killing hundreds of people. There is still a lot of champions featured which were Akali, Karma, Yasuo, and Kennen but I think you should just watch lore readings by NECRIT, he's videos are great and good for people curious to know the story of Runeterra. I just found your channel and I'm a big Arcane fan too, I found out about Lol in later 2018 when KDA debuted and I'm soo happy that more and more people are intrested in the stories of Runeterra, and I love your reactions and discussions about it. Jhin: the dude playing the piano. He's an artist character, so it makes sense that he can play the piano. I think Yuumi (another champion) has a quote saying "can you play the piano while I nap, Jhin?" He's definitely my favourite part of the cinematic as well. Jhin is a psycothic artist though, always trying to deliver a performance and has a need to be nothing less than perfect. He's also obsessed with the number 4. Riven: She's a Noxian exile. The blade Draven threw her was her own blade. They are most likely in a Noxian arena. Draven: He's a Noxian executioner, so this arena is his "home field". He has a big ego and loves this type of sport. He's also Darius' brother, which is a character you've seen in a previous cinematic. Draven is a ranged axe thrower, whereas Darius is a melee axe user (Darius did throw his axe in the Darius cinematic though) Camille: The woman leaping towards Jhin. Good chance of appearing in S2 of Arcane as she is related to the hextech crystals. She is a cyborg-y assassin (I think). She definitely gives me AoT vibes, though. Irelia: Ionian girl. She is more or less a blade-dancer. Her voicelines in League are a lot related to the Noxian invasion of Ionia. Sion: The big bad dude that is invading Ionia (Noxus is invading Ionia here, yes). Sion used to be a human, I think. The thing he uses as his jaw is the Jarvan I's crown. There's a champion in League called Jarvan IV, who is a Demacian prince. As you can probably tell by now, Noxus really likes to invade other regions. If you're wondering if Jhin or Jinx is the best character... it's Jhinx.
Most of your questions are answered :-) Draven (the "master" of the arena) isn't throwing his knife. You can see several times a sword at the wall behind him (not that good visible, for example 4:48). This sword is characteristic for Riven ingame. So this actually is the origin scene of Riven. Draven btw is the brother of the big guy with the huge axe you saw in other videos (the one who killed the king to save the child/slave). The Bow-Down-scene is legendary, such a masterpiece. Ingame he can shoot just 4 times, before he has to reload for a longer time. 3 normal shots and one very strong last shot. When he's bowing down, you can see his weapon in his back starts to glow red, which means he prepares his 4th shot (against camille). Jhin is maybe (also ingame) one of the best character designs in LoL, for example: Jhin finally killed 4 really important main characters in the League of Legend-Lore, but i won't spoiler here, because you know some of them. Jhin fires his 4 shots in a Four quarter beat (His firespeed can't be changed which is different to all other champions in LoL, which attacks faster with levels and items). If you tip J H I N with just one finger on your keyboard, you're doing the same move as drawing a "4". The number 4 is related to death in the japanese language (he's a professional killer). His main theme is separated in 4 parts, the 1st part is the chase, the second is the hunt, the third is the kill and the forth is the satisfaction and the artistic beauty of the kill. Killing is art for Jhin. Jhin's traps do reveal enemies for 4 seconds
Jhin is regarded by the community as a perfect character in all fronts. Gameplay, design, and lore. He's essentially a serial killer obsessed with the number 4 and sees killing as a LITERAL artform. The circus explosions that you see in the video are actually from Jhin's POV that's why its so beautiful. But if you were normal all you'd see is guts, blood, and gore. He's insane basically and like a true artist he adds suspense and drama to his murders, making sure they're perfect for his.... performance. If you're interested in how his gameplay reflects this, the basic way to explain it is all shooting characters in league have no reload mechanic except him, he only has 4 shots before he reload with his 4th being the strongest. He has a grenade that bounces 4 times. Traps that reveal for 4 seconds. And an ultimate ability with 4 shots but bigger. You also play him like an obsessed artist, making sure everything is perfect before you score a kill. Another Easter egg: if you connect the letters:JHIN on your phone keyboard it'll form a number 4.
Jhin is probably universally accepted as the best League of Legends character. He is this crazy criminal who sees murder as an art and there's so much depth to him. He is obsessed with the number 4 : his name has 4 letters, before he got released there have been 4 mysterious teasers of 4 champions being killed by jhin, those champions being zed, garen, sona and vi. Also the 4 teasers have been released 4 days apart from each other. As for his arsenal,he has a bouncing grenade that bounces 4 times, his gun has to be reloaded after every 4 bullets with the 4th bullet being the deadliest, the final act. A little nice easter egg in the cinematic is that he shot 3 bullets at Camille ( the lady going after him). In that amazing scene where Jhin takes a bow, he does it because it was all planned. He predicted Camille's movements and as he was bowing down, he had his gun behind him ready to deal that final blow, combined with the bombs going off in the background making the grand finale for his piece of art.
10:25 - Yes, the artistic serial killer obsessed with the number 4. 10:30 - His theme and special moves are heavily scored with similar music in this trailer because he's noted as being particularly good at both the piano and violin! 10:40 - That's Draven, the Glorious Executioner, brother of Darius, The Hand of Noxus. This is set in the fighting pits of Noxus. 11:23 - Yep, it's Ionia, and that's Irellia, a blade dancing Ionian war hero! 11:51 - That's Camille, without giving too much away, she's Piltover Black Ops enhanced by Hextech. 12:34 - It's a different sword, a rune blade with which Riven has a history. 13:02 - we can safely assume so, the Noxus/Ionia war is central to many plot lines within the game canon and most likely, within the future of Arcane (and it's legit incredible so fingers crossed). 14:26 - Jhin gonna Jhin. If Jinx is to Arcane what Harley Quinn is to DC, then Jhin is a contender for the Joker. He's taking a bow, gun behind his back, as the building goes up around him! 15:11 - REALLY GOOD! I think this was the point everyone realised League was stepping up the story and giving people what they want - for a lot of me and my friends who played League, this was the point we became confident a series or movie would work. They smashed it, so glad you guys enjoyed it! I honestly can't wait to see you guys watch The Call! 16:54 - There's video game called the Ruined King which features Yasuo, Braum, Ilaoi, Pyke, Ahri, Miss Fortune, and a few others - it ties in with an event with multiple cinematics under 'The Ruination' which you guys mentioned. I'm sure there are playlists out there with the correct order to tell the story, but they kinda dropped the ball on the release stages of the story to the point where it can be confusing to tie together. 17:18 - That's Kennen, a Yordle with ties to Ionia and the leader of a ninja clan! 17:25 - That's Sion, a zombie Noxian warlord so powerful that he just keeps going even when you kill him. 17:58 - I don't want to give too much away on Riven because she could be something worth seeing in Arcane, but she has a complicated history with Noxus and Ionia. 18:49 - again, I don't want to give too much away just in case, but he's an augmented serial killer funded to 'perform' contract killings by big houses across Runeterra. He's heavily linked to Ionia and Piltover and finds grim artistry in every kill.

She has a broken sword which in game as well with magic turns it into a full runic sword and enhances her power.
New Character Introduction List: Masked Piano Player: Jhin. He is from Piltover and is an artist killer. He's a perfectionist that murders as his artistic medium. He sees a perfect death as a masterpiece. He was bowing to Camille for his performance murdering all her officers. He will almost certainly be in Arcane in the future. Cyborg Strut Lady: Camille. Head intelligence of the Piltover enforcers. She is a cyborg that can adapt herself to the enemy she's fighting. Orange eyes is physical defense, blue eyes is magic defense. She will also end up in Arcane i'm betting. Her and Jhin might be a couple years down the line in the piltover timeline though. Arena Overlord: Draven, Darius' brother. He's the master of the Noxian prison and fighting pits. He's a battle and adrenaline junky that lives for killing people and stating how awesome he is. What he threw at Riven was her sword so they could have a proper fight worth his time. Spinny Blade Lady: Irelia. A battle waltz expert from Ionia. Completely broken in game (not really broken but rather easy to play and very strong) so she gets more hate than she deserves as a character. Shielding Green Energy lady: Karma. Karma is the Avatar of an ancient Ionian soul that reincarnates itself within someone of each generation to protect Ionia and it's people forever. Electric Hamster: Kennen. He is a yordle ninja trained by Shen and specializes in lightning. He's essentially ninja pikachu but can actually talk. Giant Axe Oogabooga: Sion. An ancient Noxian legend that was reincarnated by modern day noxus to continue to serve. He feels nothing except anger and bloodlust. In game a viable strategy with him is to not care about deaths at all and just blitz all their towers. It's called inting scion (intentionally dying/feeding scion) so there are a bunch of memes circulating the character because of how silly his in game strategy can be.
Jhin bowing is one of the best moments in videogames animation history.

imo Most people miss that sine they dont recognize it is Rivens own sword.
Jhin is an interesting character and his teaser had the community going wild because only a few details were revealed. Ingame he's also one of those characters that are popular but generally doesn't feel like it's overtuned, his playstyle is based around his fourth attack doing incredible damage and he has a short cooldown/reload time after.
Fun little detail, when you saw Camille's soldiers explode into colour that was most likely Jhin's view because in reality those would be explosions of blood and body parts.

His weapon have 4 shots, being the 4th one the deadliest, so if you count in the scenes, he shot 3 times and the 4th are loaded and ready to fire, but instead he bows to her to hide the last shot and "end" his piano performance.

The bow by Jhin for me has two meanings...
1) He bows because he treats all his works (killing) an art
2) Because he is obsessed with the number 4. In the game, his 4th attack is a guaranteed critical hit. If you look closely, he shot Camille 3 times and clearly missing her intentionally to make her go to where he wants her to be .. in front of his shoulder cannon (why he bows to aim it).
Edit: Also, if you look closely, you will notice Jhin's gun changes color after the first 3 shots, signalling the 4th shot is a deadly one.

In his cinematic he shots bullets, but whenever it penetrates different people they display huge displays of art instead of blood splatter for example and their bodies look like beautiful artwork. Also you can clearly see any gore or blood related thing is turned into further art, cause he only sees the beauty in death and chaos. He’s like a dangerous psychopath/serial killer. Which are usually pretty intelligent people to get away with what they do.

Riven's story is probably one of my favorites, and since there are no other cinematics about her, I feel obligated to give an explanation of her lore
She grew up as an orphaned farmer in Noxus. She didn't know much of what was going on in the world, but she always idolized the army, imagining the brave warriors fighting as a family to protect their country. Therefore, when she became of age, she enlisted in the army, training with incredible determination. Her superiors quickly noticed both her strength and skill in combat, so she was given the runic blade, a giant magic sword, both extremely strong and light at the same time, with the ability to shield its wielder from harm. She also became very close to a lot of her comrades in her warband, even referring to them as sisters. She had finaly made a family
When the time came for her to join an actual war, it didn't exactly turn out to be a war to defend her own country. They were going overseas, to Ionia. She had heard they had employed the help of a certain Zaunite scientist. Riven grew increasingly suspicious. Why were they transporting so many chemicals and explosives? Why were they going to invade Ionia, who had done nothing to threaten Noxus? Riven just did what she had done all her life and continued to follow orders, despite the seed of doubt that was forming inside her.
When they started their campaign in Ionia, it quickly became clear that the land itself did not welcome them there, throwing storm after storm at them. In the end, Riven's warband was separated from the others. As Ionian resistance fighters had discovered them, Riven called out for her allies, expecting help. However, the only thing she got was a flaming arrow headed straight for their wagon, and that's when she realized: her worst fears turned out to be true. She quickly drew her sword, being shielded by it while watching the arrow hit the explosives in the wagon. Then, everything went aflame. Noxians, Ionians, they all died gruesome deaths. In the flames, Riven could finally see the truth. Noxus was no great and benevolent force, it was a megalomaniac empire that would stop at nothing to increase its power.
After the flames died down, Riven was the sole survivor in her unit. She did the only thing she could do at this point and walked away. She had to turn her back on her family, her friends, every single bond she had made in her life. Her memories of what happened after are hazy, but when she woke up the next morning, her blade was next to her, shattered into many pieces. However, it was clear that its magic was still active, so even though she hated it and everything it stood for, she was forced to take the blade with her, lest it fall into Noxian hands. With nothing to do and nobody to turn to, she began to wander Ionia, hoping she could find some way to forgive herself and find inner peace. Eventually, she reached a village, where an elderly couple took her in with open arms, even after realizing she was a Noxian, an enemy. She was overwhelmed by their kindness and hospitality, and decided to repay them by working at their farm, keeping a low profile to avoid any run-ins with Ionians who wouldn't take so kindly to a Noxian.
Time passed. Riven thoroughly enjoyed her life and her new family, slowly learning the Ionian language. One day, however, while she was out in the fields, she spotted a bunch of figures moving out toward her. But it wasn't the Noxians coming to take her back. No, these people were Ionian. They claimed she had killed the village's elder. She submitted to them, unwilling to fight, and followed them into a courtroom, where she was told to give her side of the story. Used to life in Noxus, Riven was confused. They were going to hear her out and try to give her a fair punishment, and not just throw her into the arena? She told them she didn't remember killing any elder. The villagers showed her that their master had a piece of her blade sticking out of him when he died. Her memories of the night after she left Noxus began flooding back. She had asked the elder to destroy her blade, but when he did, it exploded into all those pieces, one of them hitting him in the neck. After touching the blade and feeling its destructive powers themselves, the villagers believed her story. She was sentenced to community service and forgiven for the accident that caused the master's death. Additionally, a certain pony-tailed swordsman is no longer suspected of being the killer.
Riven was forgiven. As a Noxian, that was completely unheard of for her. But she decided to give back to the people that had shown her, a foreigner, an enemy, so much kindness and tolerance. She settled down, living a quiet life as a simple Ionian farmer. But just like all good things, this wouldn't last. Noxus never forgave her for deserting, but more importantly, they needed their toy back. Now, about a decade after the invasion began, they're about to get it back.
One quiet day, Riven, standing in the fields, sees the all too familiar sight of figures approaching in the distance. This time, however, she knew what has happening. Her sisters had come back for her. She touched the hilt of her blade with her finger. The Ionians had lost so much to Noxus, and they had given her so much. So now, for the sake of her new family, she chose not to fight. She didn't want any more blood spilled on Ionian land, so she surrendered. Noxus was not going to grace her with a just trial or anything of the sort. She was thrown into the arena and condemned to fight for her life. And that is where the story ends, leading directly into the cinematic you just saw.
Edit: Also, a small detail about the cinematic. When Draven threw that blade at Riven, he didn't try to kill her. He gave her her blade in order to make it a fair fight. You can see after he throws it, that it actually severed the chains, meaning Draven didn't miss; he hit his target perfectly.

These cinematics most of the time are connected to the professional players and not that much to the lore but the music is genuinely amazing and it is worth watching. Maybe you could check it out when you run out of lore related content... Which I hope does not happen before Arcane S2!!!

Jhin, the one wearing a theater mask, is a criminal psychopath who believes murder is art. He was trying to lure Camille onto the stage, exactly where he wants her to be. He is an artist, a performer. His masterpiece cannot be done off the stage. He fired 3 shots, saving his fourth. (This is his ult which is called Curtain Call where he can fire up to four shots with the fourth being the deadliest.) You can see his gun glowing when he bows. He's ready to shoot for the finale. The virtuoso, indeed.

Some lore stuff if you're interested :
- The "charismatic" guy with a mask is named Jhin , he's a murderer who thinks killing is an art. He bowed to Camille (a character i can't tell too much about cause she may be in arcane season 2)
- It is as you said a war between Ionia and Noxus but we don't know when , there have been severall ones between the two and this one is not the main one , since Yasuo was not in the main one.
The other characters involved are Karma , Akali , Kennen and the main one Irelia , she was like the hero of the resistance during the first Noxian invasion.
- The third one in the arena , it's definitly in Noxus. The an is named Draven , one of the bigger figures of Noxus empire and the white haired girl is Riven.
She was in the Noxian army during the first Ionia invasion , but when she saw what Noxus did , even to their own people , she deserted.
During this war , she killed Yauso's master. Yasuo was falsely accused of the murder cause it was caused by a "wind" attack , Riven can also use them. In the game they have many interactions when they're in the same game.
Again the lore of Riven stopped when she deserted so we don't really know when this scene happened , the most probable theory is that she was caught by Noxus and thrown to fighting pitts as a punition for her desertion.
There is a trilogy of stories in which Noxus sends multiple soldiers, some with magical swords like Riven, to capture her and bring her back to Noxus. Awaken is set after these stories.

Jhin the piano guy has a weapon that 4 shots loaded. And his 4th shot is the most powerful one. When he bows in the last scene we are seeing that he actually shows to the viewers his 4th shot. He is ready for it. And he is kinda maniac that sees killing as an art. You can watch the Jhin the Virtuoso trailer its cool.

Bit of background:
1. Guy with the mask is Jhin, a serial killer who sees murder as art. The lady with the blade legs he fights, is called Camille, she's from Piltover, she's the boss of a mercenary organization, they usually send her to do the dirty work, and yeah, she's been looking for Jhin.
2. The colosseum place is Draven's arena in Noxus, Draven being the guy with the spinning blades, he looks bored until Riven shows up, the gladiator lady with the black face paint, she's the one who mistakenly murdered elder Souma, Yasuo and Yone's master, hence why Yone thought Yasuo was the one who killed the elder. That's the reason why Riven's basically amongst the main attractions of the arena, they use her for people's entertainment.
3. The place where the big war is taking place is Ionia. It depicts the invasion of Noxus. Main Lady in red with the long hair is called Irelia, she's a blade dancer, an art where she, well... Dances when fighting, and the blades around her move accordingly. She protects Karma, the lady in green who gave Irelia a magic shield, Karma is not her actual name but rather the name of the spirit that possesses her, which makes her the one all the people in Ionia look up to (since magic is very important there). Then there's Akali, which I don't need to explain to you who she is, you met her plenty of times already, she's awesome. Same thing with Yasuo. The Yordle-ninja guy is called Kennen, has electric powers. The big guy with the axe is Sion, he's actually dead, but is being kept alive by blood magic, to get used as a weapon by Noxus.
And this overall, are just the basic infos to make you understand a bit and get acquainted with the characters😉
If you guys want to learn a little more about lore without playing or reading their lores, just react to their quotes/interactions in game, Camille and Jhin's are really cool ones

AWAKEN is such a masterpiece of modern audio/visual storytelling.. Watch it again and look at how the animation flows with the music.. How Camile swings herself through the ceiling.. Karma's arm gestures with the violins.. Akali's bombs synced with the percussion rolls, everything is so perfect.. Riot Games animation and music department deserves more recognition.

14:06 You didn't mention this tiny yordle, but he's an important character. His name is Kennen. He is the leader of the ninja sect called "kinkou" in Ionia, which includes Shen, Akali and Zed. He is a powerful and important ninja yordle known as Akali's master who taught Akali the art of kinkou while in the kinkou school.
Kennen is not the leader, Shen is.
He's what heimerdiner is for the piltovan inventors, but for the ninjas!
They were at the kinkou but Akali and Zed have since left and made thier way without them(seperatly)

That arena is actually a high security prison where only that worst offenders of Noxus end up, and upon seeing Riven rise into it, Draven knows she's done something serious against Noxus but not quite what, and decides to fight her himself despite their friendship

As someone who has been playing LoL from the early days, I grew more tired of the game and more interested in the lore (back then there was no lore :v). Since the debut of Arcane I've been binged watching all the reaction of newcomers, I got bored after a few days of watching the same reaction from multiple youtubers, but something from your channel keep pulling me back for more :D

I think people love this one the most because there are multiple shots with new champions coming to the rescue. Below is a champ list a brief description to help.
Jhin- Artist, Virtuoso, Psychopath, Finds art and beauty in bloodshed.
Camille- Piltover noble, Part human part robot, Improves herself with technology (think marvel nebula), Swords for legs, hookshots on hips.
Draven- Noxus, Swinging swords, crazy, loves bloodshed.
Riven- Sword, Fighter, Captive of Draven.
Irelia- Ionia, Controls Blades
Karma- Sheilder support, Saves Irelia from Sion smash, green magic.
Sion- Noxus war leader, Fighter, Undead
Akali- Ninja, uses disguise and mobility.
Yasuo- Swordsman, Controls wind, Tornados
Kennen- Yordle, Ninja, Electircal magic. If you don't know what yordles they are the furry people in the Pentakill video.

Not sure if this has been mentioned in the past but one of my favorite things about these cinematics is they always show off the character using their abilities in game, so almost all of these cool things that the characters are doing, are exactly what their characters do in the game. Examples are akalis smoke screen, Jhins mines, rivens headbut on draven, Camille grappling to the ceiling etc. even in the warriors video when Sylas created that magical sword, it wasn’t a random sword, that was an exact copy of Garens sword who he was beating up, his magic is to steal other characters ultimate abilities in game.
Small little detail in this one is when Camille is strutting in, when she blinks her eyes change colors (you were right, she is very much robotic) well in game she has an adaptive shield, depending on what damage type the OTHER champion that hits her is, she will gain a shield specific to that damage type, and it’ll be orange or blue. So if she gets hit by physical damage, she will get a small physical only shield that’s orange, same for magic damage. I assume her body was trying to figure out what the correct choice for the shield was and that’s why her eyes were changing colors quickly as she analyzed. Really really hope she is in season 2 of arcane.

You'll love Jhin. He is one of the best characters in LoL for his design and lore. He's a killer but an artist first and foremost. He is murderer, but sees the deaths of his victims as pieces of art. "I never hurt anyone. Its is the *performance* that kill" - is once of his voice lines in game. I suggest you give the teaser for Jhin a watch, its shows what its looks like when people die in the eyes of Jhin.

Hi there! I was one of the ones who recommended that you watch Awaken.
Here's a few details on some of the characters in the scenes.
1. Jhin is in fact the piano player. He's a serial killer. A murderer. And a brutal one at that. For Jhin, everything must be perfect. His killings are an art. Life is a performance. In the final act of a performance, that's when he makes the kill. But until that point, there must be an entire set up for it. Where Jinx may be guns blazing and chaos, Jhin's methods are precise and perfect. He infuses his gun with dark magics that cause his victims to sprout into beautiful pieces of art when they die. A bullet will pierce a body and inflict a wound, but the gore that is a result will in fact be turned into an illusion; a beautiful piece of art. That's why if you see his character trailer, everyone he kills turns into works of beauty instead of falling limp. He is an artist, and everything must be perfect. He's pretty messed up underneath his clothing, being all disfigured, and "beneath my mask, is another mask". You may notice in the video that the explosions in the background are somewhat fancy and ostentatious. He truly is one of my top 2 favourite characters of all time.
2. Riven is an exile. I don't know much about her other than that (allegedly) she's the one who killed Yasuo's master and framed him for it, which is why Yone went out to kill Yasuo (his brother) and Yasuo killed him in self-defence. Riven wields a runic blade (the one that Draven throws at her). She's a badass fighter turned into a bit of an exile.
3. Draven. WELCOME TO THE LEAGUE OF DRAVEN. All i know, and all you kind of really need to know is that he's obsessed with himself. Reeeeeally obsessed. Brother to Darius, the two are pretty different. Draven views himself as an alpha chad that wants to make sure his people continuously view him as a chad too. Draven hates not being the centre of attention. Notice how he throws his axes and then catches them afterwards.
4. Irelia. Bladesinger. Controls flying blades and just wants to protect her people. From Ionia
5. Camille. Hextech cyborg lady. Has blades for feet (picture the villain in the first Kingsmen movie). Slice and dice. Grappling hook. Works with the Piltover enforcers I think. Picture RoboCop
5. Sion. Pretty much The Mountain from game of thrones. Resurrected (kinda) and basically fed magical steroids. His bottom jaw is in fact the crown (headwear) of a person he killed, named Jarvan II. Has a huge-ass war axe and has a literal furnace in his torso. He's from Noxus.
6. Karma is the lady in green who shielded Irelia.
7. The little pikachu looking hamster was Kennen. I will only ever refer to him as pikachu.
Sorry if this doesn't cover everything/ isn't 100% accurate, but I just OBVIOUSLY love Jhin and had to make a comment ahaha. Hope you guys enjoyed watching Awaken!!
My time has come:
1) Yes, that is Jhin. He's an artist, always seeking perfection in his performances. I have little doubt he can play piano, likely violin or cello as well. He does have a thing for the number four, and as music is counted in groupings of threes and fours...
2) Noxus, where Mel's from, the always hungry empire. Note the red and black colors of Noxus in the arena, as well as the ravens who clean up after the fights in more ways than one. The guy is Draven, former soldier turned fighter and owner of the pit. Few can challenge him; he was exicted at the chance to fight and show off his moves with a worthy opponent (which is why he returned Riven's broken runic sword before jumping down).
3) Irelia. She was a young weaver child when Noxus destroyed her home in the first invasion. She spun her dancing and magic into her blades, and as a young woman cut off the arm of the lead Noxian general (Swain, don't worry, he got his arm replaced and now wields [yes, wields] a demon name-dropped in the Bible) and pushed Noxus back. She leads the Ionian forces against Noxus to protect her home and for revenge, while Noxus continues trying to conquer Ionia for it's raw magic and resources.*
4) Camille. The strut is due to her hextech blade legs. She's essentially Piltover's Catwoman meets Lin Beifong, focused on keeping things under her control. She's from a powerful family and is very, very determined to keep her streets clean (if you catch my undercity drift).
5) No, Draven's spinny-ma-jig did not turn into Riven's sword. Short run down: Riven was a Noxian soldier during the Ionian invasion (see 3 and Irelia). She was a one woman army, known to Ionians as "the butcher". But unlike Swain and most of Noxus, Riven awoke to the atrocities she was committing. She sought redemption, her runic sword was shattered by an Ionian master who was killed in the act of "destroying" it, she had a thing with Yasuo (not like that but yes like that), then returned to Noxus and lives as a farmer trying to remain hidden because the blade cannot fall into the wrong hands. Guess who had it when she was captured for that spectacle fight? Draven. But only the super ego of Draven would throw back an ancient sword so he could have a worthy fight (think Vegeta).
-Draven's weapons are giant spinning axes that he throws. That spinny-ma-jig was referencing them.
-Draven is Darius' twin, yes, that Darius who slew the king in the Freljord and emancipated the slave girl. They were orphans, grew up in the streets of Noxus, became soldiers. Draven wanted more fame and glory so he joined the gladiators, Darius believes in Noxus so much he continued in the military, eventually becoming one of three leading Noxus.
-Those three leaders are called the Trifarix/ Coucil of Three, and are Swain, Darius, and The Faceless (totally not LeBlanc, don't even worry about it).
6) "Is this Noxus vs Ionia?" The correct answer is "when is it not".
*Add on here: Noxus is after Ionian magic. Why? You saw the Immortal Bastion in Arcane, the gigantic building Mel and Jayce were "casually" looking at, looks like Minas Morgul x the Sydney Opera House. The Immortal Bastion has been there forever, and holds countless and innumerable secrets. It's where Swain encountered the demon. But perhaps most damningly, it's where Mordekaiser is sealed. Remember the giant guitarist in Pentakill? That's Morde. He's an ancient warlord who was killed, decided death was boring, found a cult who wanted power and when they brought his spirit back to the mortal plane? He killed them. Then it happened again, his mortal body was defeated. Upon returning to Runeterra again he fashioned a body that wouldn't die, one made of the nigh indestructible black iron of Noxus. He conquered the Immortal Bastion and ruled from there for eons, demanding sacrifices and plaguing all of Valoran (the mainland continent of Runeterra; Ionia's an archipelago to the east.) He was defeated by a follower of his, LeBlanc, who along with Vladimir betrayed him and sealed him away within the Bastion itself. They then founded Noxus in the shadow of the Bastion, the people of which all know Mordekaiser already died twice and he _will_ return at some point. They have to be strong, they have to be on top of things, countless will die, but if they don't prepare and keep Mordekaiser from going Attack on Titan in Noxus? The whole world is doomed. That's why Noxian culture is all about expansion, taking resources, gaining more forces in their struggle. Ionia doesn't see it that way, the Ionian Vastaya who are dependent on wild magic even less so, and Noxus has this habit of demanding and conquering instead of diplomacy.
tl;dr Mordekaiser is Sauron and Noxus is the Gondor inhabiting Mordor. (If you know the Shadow of Mordor series the crossovers are hilarious.) Or Mordekaiser is Fenrir/ Jormungandr/ Loki/ etc. and Noxus is preparing for Ragnarok in anyway they can.
7) "Is she kind of robotic almost?" Yes. Camille is a hextech cyborg.
8) The yordle is Kennan. He studied with the Kinkou order in Ionia, learning to channel lightning and becoming a core member. He plays like Sonic the Hedgehog meets Pikachu.
9) The giant flaming stomach guy is Sion, he's essentially a reanimated zombie hellbent on destruction, courtesy of The Black Rose (a secret cabal of Noxus totally not led by LeBlanc) and The Crimson Circle (a cult Vladimir formed when he broke away from The Black Rose, definitely not because LeBlanc turned him down and he was salty). Sion's always reanimated via Vlad's hemomancy and such when Noxus wants to use him; he killed the former Demacian king and wears his crown as a jaw.
10) More on Jhin: he's a serial killer. His vision of what art truly is aligns with Deidara from Naruto, beauty is in the moment of death. But Jhin isn't content on just enjoying death, he wants to create it and help everyone enjoy his artwork. He's the one who set up the concert hall in Piltover, luring Camille and her cronies in. He's the one who left the trap and drew his gun to shepherd and challenge Camille. He's the one who set off the smoke bombs and bowed to Camille, for the beauty of his artwork and to thank Camille for her part in it before she dies in the most fantastically crafted moment with him and all of her minions to witness. That was all him.
11) Yes, Yasuo created the tornado. He can manipulate wind with his sword (like he did in True Damage when he turned the fan the other way for Ekko's second verse). And more fun fact: He always wanted to be a musician, but his family demanded he study the blade. Then after shenanigans and some brother killing he lives life on the run. But in the alternate realities he creates the beats for K/DA and True Damage (as confirmed by Seraphine's blog).
12) Each champ is crafted and designed to be unique so you can tell at a glance who's coming after you in a team fight and what moves they have. They do that via silhouette, poses and items. That's why you can tell Viego from Sylas from Sett in an instant regardless of their skins or colors, even though they're all in the running for "tall dark and handsome with pants and abs". Viego hunches over as he walks, wielding his family's sword that killed and undead-ed him. Sylas leans forward, chains dragging behind. Sett stands tall and proud ready to JoJo anyone with a confident and easy gait. Pull up the models for each of them standing and you'll see what I mean, they could cosplay as each other without trying. But the design team carefully and intentionally makes every champ unique, to the point their splash art is immediately recognizable even when blurred (they use headshots for mini-map positions, you need to know who is where).
To anyone who has made it this far, hope you enjoyed. You will NOT learn any of this by playing League of Legends. Each champ has voice lines and interactions that provide easter eggs and such in game, but the worldbuilding is done via stories in their bios. If you're like me and prefer story and lore, read up before you play. Then you'll understand the voice lines more and when you get a unique interaction (like Yasuo to Riven or the various ways Jinx and Vi interact) it will make sense. If you go in and play hoping to get any explanation? You won't get any. But you can always read stories, and the game isn't necessary (though knowing the champ abilities will enhance how you visualize the stories).

And now you got to know my favorite character out of any fictional work: Irelia! The Blade Dancer! (The red girl with the flying blades)
She is the heroine of Navori placidium where she stopped the invasion of Noxus and beat their general (Another League Champion named Swain). She is one of the most memorial fighters in the Ionia-Noxus war. Her story is a little bit tragic, but this is the same with the most League characters as you noticed already.

Fun fact: Jihn sees all his killing as art cuz he's a psychopath, but the traps he uses aren't magical at all. So that means there's a good chance that the cool frame where he bows down and all the purple particles are flying around, that's probably just smoke and bloodsplatter, just seen from Jihn's point of view.

The Zed comics prove this thinking is wrong, he does put illusion magic in his weapons to make the victims have those artistic figures, particles, etc. It's just an illusion tho, Zed, Shen and Kayn stated that when they touched the golden blood it soon turned to red again for example.
Im pretty sure in game Jhin's traps deal magic damage, but lore wise i don't know it it matters.

Weirdly specific reaction recommendation: Legends of Bilgewater. It's a series of 4 short audio dramas (plus an intro and conclusion) set in Bilgewater about some of the Bilgewater champions, told as a handful of tall tales from the perspective of a local drunk. Highly recommend it.
Again, it is an audio drama, so might not really be your thing, but i'd still give it a listen. I also recommend reading the champion bios and/or short stories on Universe, if not as reactions then just on your own time for some additional context.

So in the game, Jhin's 4th auto attack does loads of damage because he is obsessed with the number 4 and in the cinematic he fired 3 shots which means his next shot will do a lot of damage. There is a comic set after this where Jhin is alive so we can assume that either he hit Camille (The scissor legs lady) and really hurt her or he missed but he escaped.
Draven, the guy who is overseeing the gladiator pit is like the best gladiator of all time. Not only has he never been beaten but he does additional tricks with his twirling axes that he throws and juggles while he fights just to further amuse the crowd. He’s got extreme ego. The sword he throws at riven is her own sword (and is of great significance to her character) and he isn’t trying to hurt her, he is breaking her chain to make the fight fair because he recognizes she is the only one that doesn’t bore him and is worth fighting. He smiles when he jumps off his balcony because he is genuinely excited for the challenge
I think both of you have seen Camille before at one of Wild Rift cinematics that you two were react to it. Also, the women with the blades is Irelia, the women with some kind of magical power is Karma and the electric power ninja yordle is Kennen.

The Noxus invasion of Ionia has been in lore for a LONG time and is highly anticipated for more details.
Jhin is a notorious serial killer with a background of theatre and music; he finds death beautiful. He also is obsessed with the number 4. When Jhin bows to Camille, he has in his gun the 4th shot specifically saved for Camille. He did that whole thing just to give Camille a beautiful death! It's HIS performance for her.
FYI about Riven... I highly recommend getting into reading the character stories in your spare time. The one between Riven and Yasuo is beautiful called Confessions of a Broken Blade and goes into detail about why Riven wields a broken sword and why she's inevitably slated to be captured by Noxus.

"Rise "for the league worlds championship 2018 is by far my favorite cinematic and I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned more actually, as I think most people would agree it was the standout against the others (maybe I'm just old? lol).
Maybe it's just that the lore from the worlds cinematics don't come from the champions backstories or something, but the fact that the cinematics are animated depictions of real life events (Faker's iconic Ryze, and so on) make it so much more impactful for me.
Anyway I would highly recommend this one! Love your guys stuff :) Love from QLD.

A quick context on Warriors. In the earliest days of League, before the "Great Lore Retconn", there was a Noxian invasion of Ionia within the game lore. It was a major lore piece which essentially set the stage for the old lore (The War Institute), and the resolution of the conflict was Noxus was allowed to keep the lands they took. This event, after the Retconn, seems to have been kept and explains why there are fights between Noxus and Ionia. While the war had been "resolved" there was still skirmishes and border fights. All the Ionian champions shown fought against the Noxian invasion and they were re-worked to reflect the tensions of Noxians living on Ionian land.
Before the Retconn Riot had iconically made Noxus and Demacia antagonists and protagonists (respectively). Post-Retconn they put a more gray on both sides. Noxus is sort of a militaristic meritocracy, granting the lands they "conquer" the freedom to do as they wish with the promise their work will be awarded. Demacia, on the other hand, was turned essentially into a mage-phobic police state. They created a hypocrisy where Demacia has "mage-hunuters" who go around and look for mages and ultimately imprison them. The mage who helped Garen is Lux, his sister and both members of a family who served the King of Demacia for generations. The guy with the chains was Sylas, a mage whose was imprisoned as a child by Demacia and spent his entire life in prison.

Fun little side detail - the explosions of purple and confetti are actually blood and viscera. Jhin simply sees the mutilation of his enemies as beautiful art. I got the notification that this was uploaded and immediately dropped what I was doing. Keep them coming, guys!

i don't know if anyone else has mentioned it, but jhin is a piltover serial killer. he sees murder as art, that's why everything he sees is beautiful and vibrant, but you have to understand that he's deranged, and even though we're seeing everything as vibrant and beautiful, that's how HE sees it. there's probably explosions of blood and grotesqueness going on from the traps those guards step in, but it's lovely in his eyes.
the other woman you thought was robotic is camille. she's a super upper-class piltover enforcer from a prestigious house who fights to keep order and to especially make sure her house maintains its aristocracy rule (fyi, she probably has a pretty big chance of being in season 2 of arcane). she thinks human emotions get in the way of reason and has basically become devoid of emotion by roboticizing herself to the point of stoic cruelty, which is an odd dichotomy with jhin, who is both cruel but enraptures himself in a psychotic human emotion.

Just some little fun facts for you guys , the guy in the Noxus fight pit is Draven , he is Darius brother ) and riven is here because she deserted after the first ionian vs noxus war , the yordle pikachu vibes is Kennen ( a ninja of Ionian like akali and Shen who u saw in akali's cinematic) and the big noxus guy is Sion , an ancient Noxus warrior who's back to life because he was freaking good at genocide basically , and jhin (in the game) as a mechanic where his 4th shot deal a lot of damage , in the cinematic he shot 3 times then bowed and u can see he as the gun loaded with the fourth bullet , he just love making a beautiful scene for the last act ( he actually as a trailer if u guys want to know more about him) and u guessed right most of the important things , ur getting really good at this lore thing ! as always love from france , keep it up . riven: noxus sent child warriors to ionia to conquer the land. Riven was one of them. When riven witnessed noxus using chemical weapons (produced by singed), she started to rebell Against noxus. Shes in a fighting pit of noxus, which are controlled by Draven
Draven: hes the Brother of Darius. They are both powerful people in the noxian empire. Draven controls the fighting pits.
His personality is built around his ego (tbf, hes a strong dude).
Camille: the girl fighting jhin ist camille, the enforcer (not police, more like a private debt collector and fighter) of house ferros (mentioned in arcane by mel in episode one). Shes actually 80+. Camille got augmented to fullfil her duties as a private enforcer for her clan. The augmentations include severe body modifications like mechanical eyes, ropecasters on hip (like in attack on titan) an blades for legs. She was sent to the theater to capture jhin.
Jhin: Jhin is an Artist, funded by wealthy ionians, and actually comes from there. Would be ok if he wouldnt also be a serial killer obsessed with the number 4. He kills people in artistical ways. At this time hes in a piltovan theater, luring camille into a trap (yes, he can play the piano)
The Ionian Stuff.
Characters: Yasuo, Akali, Irelia, Kennen, Karma, Sion
The Ionian part impictures the Invasion of noxus into ionia. Like i stated in a comment under the last video (kin of a stained blade) the ionian dont really fight as an army, as there is nor real state-like structure to ionia. So the groups all fight by themselves. Irelia is a weaver who is able to controll magic blades with her dance. Due to her powers the people look up to her in times of war as their defender.

The Knife/Sword that Draven throws at Riven while her back is turned is actually Rivens weapon of choice in game, also not sure if you noticed but when Draven threw Rivens weapon at her he was actually breaking her chains so that he could fight her freely. Draven is extremely cocky lol.
Also yes the lady going after jhin is Camille and she is part Hextech, most notably her scissor legs (Mommy?) and you're right in the final scene between Jhin and Camille he is bowing. The colourful explosions in the theatre caused by jhins traps are theorised to be the Soldiers previously seen exploding and dying, but because Jhin is a serial killer who sees murder as an art form we are more than likely seeing the explosions through his eyes, hence why the explosions are so colourful and bright.
The giant guy with the bright red stomach is Sion, the undead general of the Noxian army, in game he has a very interesting passive ability where when he dies he resurrects for a short period to continue doing damage before he ACTUALLY dies. The Awaken cinematic is full of SO MANY interesting characters. You guys should definitely check out the Star Guardian videos, they're a series of cinematics that were made for the release of the star guardian skin line. I think you guys would really love the cinematic "Wild Magic" which follows two characters who are love birds that were released together, its a short but sweet cinematic. Im glad you guys are enjoying the league universe, a lot of the stories within them are really cool. Unfortunately though theres a lot of champions in League who dont get to appear in cinematics very often that get looked over so I'd even suggest going to the League of Legends official website where they have their champions listed and just checking out some the ones that catch your interest. :D

I haven't seen anyone mention this about Camille yet, but to answer some questions you asked about her, she is INDEED part robot. The entire lower part of her body, hips down, have been replaces with blades for legs and grappling hooks in her hips. This give her the power strut. Now, her lore is very interesting, I do recall a lot of people mentioning to you in past videos that Arcane took liberties with the lore but hers is a BIG one. You see, in Arcane JAYCE invented hextech, while in the regular story it has existed for many, many years and her family is the one importing the crystals (which, fun fact, in regular lore, are the aware mined bodies of crystal scorpions and they are constantly screaming in pain through a magical hivemind like link due to being cut apart but only few humans can hear it. And even then it is very quiet and hard to understand).
Camille herself is 80 years old and has been augmented to both extend her life and power her robotic parts. She is ruthless and goes outside the law to protect her family's power by murdering people in Piltover and Zaun alike. Her clan is mentioned ONCE to Mel in Arcane (Clan Ferros) but given how the story of Hextech has been greatly altered, and that given her story she would have murdered Silco day dot, she may never feature in Arcane (unless they argue her family had already worked this out 60 something years ago and just hid it from everyone).
20:58 That guy with the killer goatee is Draven, Darius' brother (If you guys remember the Tales of Runeterra video for Noxus- the one with the king- Darius is the big dude with the axe). Well Draven, the younger brother, is an extreme narcissist and famous reckoner (a Noxian gladiator, basically). He's the champion of the fight pit and the most famous one, drawing in crowds with over-the-top showmanship. In this cinematic, he's actually sitting there spinning the knife and not even paying attention because he's genuinely bored- the fights don't excite him anymore because he always wins. He doesn't even have competitive fights anymore, he just executes people in flashy ways to entertain the crowd. He's disinterested because there's no more challenge for him or any sport to it, kinda like Saitama in One Punch Man being tired of never having a good fight. That's why when Riven starts slapping dudes around he leans forward with interest because now someone has his attention and might be his equal. It's why he joins in himself. The reason he's smiling like that isn't actually because he's really sadistic or particularly wants to hurt her, but because for the first time in years he's having an actual, competitive fight with a worthy opponent and he missed it. He's having fun.

And fun fact: the colored smoke are all happening in jhins mind (masked guy) I can't find a better term. but for him it has color but for us it's just normal gray smoke and the gory thing is that Camille (knife legs) sees blood splattered and corpse flying and the reason we see the colorful smoke because we are in jhins pov.

The strutting lady is Camille. She is from Piltover.. In fact, they mention her family in the introduction of the Mel character in Arcane, when they remind her that she is where she is because of that family's support. People are speculating that we might see her in season 2, before her transformation from a normal human into what she becomes (her augments are hextech)
The Ionia characters are Irelia, the lady with the magic blades that swirl around, Karma, the enchantress lady with the circle thing on her back, and Kennen, the yordle ninja.
The giant from Noxus is called Sion. He died long ago, in the process of killing a Demacian king. He was resurrected with dark magic by a later ruler of Noxus to fight again. It is thought that his jaw is forged from the crown of the king he originally gave his life to slay, which was still in his vice-like grip when he was untombed. He proved so uncontrollable that he was buried again, only to be uncovered a second time by another future leader of Noxus
We may also get to see Sion in Season 2, since the king that resurrected him the second time, Swain, is thought to possibly be the mysterious foe that Mel's family talks about.

Guy up in box in the gladiatorial arena is called Draven. He's a famous Noxian pit fighter and the brother of Darius. Part of his kit in the game is gaining the adoration of the crowd. He has a pair of "spinning axes" which he mostly throws and catches like boomerangs.
Riven, the girl in the pit is an Noxian deserter. She was once a champion of Noxus but had a crisis of conscience after it was implied that she killed Yasuo's master. She has a broken blade that she can pull back together with the power of her will. She wants to right her past by fighting against Noxus.
Each region has a color theme you can pretty much reliably use to determine a champion's original location.
-Ionia is silver, pinks and green.
-Piltover is shiny copper, steel.
-Zaun is dirty copper, but with green.
-Noxus is red and black.
-Demacia is white, gold and blue.
-Bandle City is fluffy.
-Shadow Isles is black and blue-green.
-Bilgewater is wood and iron and sea theme.

Yes that is Jhin. I assume he can play the piano since his title in game is "the virtuoso". He is a criminal psychopath and according to him murder is art. But yeah he is always wearing a mask.
2. Who is this guy? And where is this? 10:42
That guy is named Draven and that is a fighting pit in Noxus. The sword he threw was actually Riven's runic blade so they could have a fair fight. You can see it on the wall behind him at the start.
3. Who is that girl? 11:20
That girl is Irelia, The Blade Dancer and she is from Ionia. She uses her movements to control the blades she wields hence the name "Blade Dancer". She adapted her passion for dance to use in war.
4. Whats her name? 11:51
Her name is Camille and she is from Piltover. She is an elite agent who makes sure everything in Piltover and Zaun go smoothly. I don't know if you noticed but she is a "cyborg" because her legs are blades.
Additional information:
Jhin's weapon carries 4 bullets, the last one being the strongest. In the bowing scene Jhin has used his first 3 bullets and is going to "kill" Camille with the last one. He layed out the scene with the traps on the ground to create a beautiful show of murder for himself. That is what he calls art.
the girl with the strut is Camille, she has a passive ability where depending what damage she takes (physical or magic) she gets a damage shield. thats why in the scene where the goon who gets stuck in the trap you see her eyes change colors preparing for any damaging she might take

8) The little yordle is Kennen, a ninja who uses thunders
9) The big flaming guy is Sion, from Noxus, he has a weird story, he died in a war against Demacia and they bring him back

Jhin is the artist and carnage is the art.
His in game passive makes his 4th shot with the gun crit for 100% and it glows red, as you can see it glowing when he bows down. He knew he won that battle and that was his grand finale, his masterpiece.
As additional info: he's a serial killer that creates art by murder. The smoke you see at 14:20 is actually blood, that's Jhin's masterpiece :D An extremely interesting character, I recommend reacting to his voice lines, they're really deep, scary and beautiful at the same time.

To start Awaken is focused on the conflicts of the champions from Ionia, Noxus, and Piltover/Zaun. And yes Ionia is under attack by Noxus.
Irelia the women who dances with her blade, leads her people as she is the only one capable of fighting as most of the Ionians which are her people are inexperienced with fighting.
Riven the muscular women who wields a sword is an exile, she originally works for Noxus but after seeing the effects of war she broke her blade and sworn that she will aviod conflict and fighting and only use her blade when needed, this is why she isn't using her blade to hurt Draven.
Draven is the guy who fought Riven, he is the brother of Darius, and he is incharge of the brawl arena basically the pitfighting arena.
Camille the AOT inspired champion is an assassin and probably assigned or paid to kill Jhin. And yes she is a cyborg and she is powered by Hextech.
Jhin is a virtuoso and is obsessed with perfection that he killed a lot of people and considers killing an art. And yes he is obsessed with the number 4.
Sion is a war hero from the past, he is revered by Noxus and made him the way he is, he now works for Noxus as a brute monster capable of killing hundreds of people.
There is still a lot of champions featured which were Akali, Karma, Yasuo, and Kennen but I think you should just watch lore readings by NECRIT, he's videos are great and good for people curious to know the story of Runeterra.

Jhin: the dude playing the piano. He's an artist character, so it makes sense that he can play the piano. I think Yuumi (another champion) has a quote saying "can you play the piano while I nap, Jhin?" He's definitely my favourite part of the cinematic as well. Jhin is a psycothic artist though, always trying to deliver a performance and has a need to be nothing less than perfect. He's also obsessed with the number 4.
Riven: She's a Noxian exile. The blade Draven threw her was her own blade. They are most likely in a Noxian arena.
Draven: He's a Noxian executioner, so this arena is his "home field". He has a big ego and loves this type of sport. He's also Darius' brother, which is a character you've seen in a previous cinematic. Draven is a ranged axe thrower, whereas Darius is a melee axe user (Darius did throw his axe in the Darius cinematic though)
Camille: The woman leaping towards Jhin. Good chance of appearing in S2 of Arcane as she is related to the hextech crystals. She is a cyborg-y assassin (I think). She definitely gives me AoT vibes, though.
Irelia: Ionian girl. She is more or less a blade-dancer. Her voicelines in League are a lot related to the Noxian invasion of Ionia.
Sion: The big bad dude that is invading Ionia (Noxus is invading Ionia here, yes). Sion used to be a human, I think. The thing he uses as his jaw is the Jarvan I's crown. There's a champion in League called Jarvan IV, who is a Demacian prince. As you can probably tell by now, Noxus really likes to invade other regions.
If you're wondering if Jhin or Jinx is the best character... it's Jhinx.

Most of your questions are answered :-) Draven (the "master" of the arena) isn't throwing his knife. You can see several times a sword at the wall behind him (not that good visible, for example 4:48). This sword is characteristic for Riven ingame. So this actually is the origin scene of Riven. Draven btw is the brother of the big guy with the huge axe you saw in other videos (the one who killed the king to save the child/slave).
The Bow-Down-scene is legendary, such a masterpiece. Ingame he can shoot just 4 times, before he has to reload for a longer time. 3 normal shots and one very strong last shot. When he's bowing down, you can see his weapon in his back starts to glow red, which means he prepares his 4th shot (against camille). Jhin is maybe (also ingame) one of the best character designs in LoL, for example:
Jhin finally killed 4 really important main characters in the League of Legend-Lore, but i won't spoiler here, because you know some of them.
Jhin fires his 4 shots in a Four quarter beat (His firespeed can't be changed which is different to all other champions in LoL, which attacks faster with levels and items).
If you tip J H I N with just one finger on your keyboard, you're doing the same move as drawing a "4".
The number 4 is related to death in the japanese language (he's a professional killer).
His main theme is separated in 4 parts, the 1st part is the chase, the second is the hunt, the third is the kill and the forth is the satisfaction and the artistic beauty of the kill. Killing is art for Jhin.
Jhin's traps do reveal enemies for 4 seconds
Jhin is regarded by the community as a perfect character in all fronts. Gameplay, design, and lore. He's essentially a serial killer obsessed with the number 4 and sees killing as a LITERAL artform. The circus explosions that you see in the video are actually from Jhin's POV that's why its so beautiful. But if you were normal all you'd see is guts, blood, and gore. He's insane basically and like a true artist he adds suspense and drama to his murders, making sure they're perfect for his.... performance.
If you're interested in how his gameplay reflects this, the basic way to explain it is all shooting characters in league have no reload mechanic except him, he only has 4 shots before he reload with his 4th being the strongest. He has a grenade that bounces 4 times. Traps that reveal for 4 seconds. And an ultimate ability with 4 shots but bigger. You also play him like an obsessed artist, making sure everything is perfect before you score a kill.
Another Easter egg: if you connect the letters:JHIN on your phone keyboard it'll form a number 4.

Jhin is probably universally accepted as the best League of Legends character. He is this crazy criminal who sees murder as an art and there's so much depth to him. He is obsessed with the number 4 : his name has 4 letters, before he got released there have been 4 mysterious teasers of 4 champions being killed by jhin, those champions being zed, garen, sona and vi. Also the 4 teasers have been released 4 days apart from each other. As for his arsenal,he has a bouncing grenade that bounces 4 times, his gun has to be reloaded after every 4 bullets with the 4th bullet being the deadliest, the final act. A little nice easter egg in the cinematic is that he shot 3 bullets at Camille ( the lady going after him). In that amazing scene where Jhin takes a bow, he does it because it was all planned. He predicted Camille's movements and as he was bowing down, he had his gun behind him ready to deal that final blow, combined with the bombs going off in the background making the grand finale for his piece of art.

14:20 (Not a Question) Jhin wasn't missing his shots he was aiming at the Corpses and Mines to detonate the explosions to force Camille to go Airborne and over the chandelier which also exploded so when Camille descended on him it will look cool and artistic. Basically, Jhin knew Camille would be coming and wanted to paint a Masterpiece which he did that's why he "bowed". He's still a psychopath who displays his art in a brutal sense.

2. The guy in the stadium is Draven, brother of Darius (ruler/king) , you saw him in Runettera Noxus episode.
3. Irelia, she is Ionian but haven't been a key piece cinematic wise.
3. She's fighting vs Sion.
4. I read somewhere that Camile (vs Jhin) is from Piltover as one of the enforcers as well.
5. Characters supporting Irelia are Yasuo, Akali, Kennen (Yordle), Karma (which has a brief scene in Ruination as well)
6. Riven is an exile warrior and she got caught. She has a broken sword which in game as well with magic turns it into a full runic sword and enhances her power.
New Character Introduction List:
Masked Piano Player: Jhin. He is from Piltover and is an artist killer. He's a perfectionist that murders as his artistic medium. He sees a perfect death as a masterpiece. He was bowing to Camille for his performance murdering all her officers. He will almost certainly be in Arcane in the future.
Cyborg Strut Lady: Camille. Head intelligence of the Piltover enforcers. She is a cyborg that can adapt herself to the enemy she's fighting. Orange eyes is physical defense, blue eyes is magic defense. She will also end up in Arcane i'm betting. Her and Jhin might be a couple years down the line in the piltover timeline though.
Arena Overlord: Draven, Darius' brother. He's the master of the Noxian prison and fighting pits. He's a battle and adrenaline junky that lives for killing people and stating how awesome he is. What he threw at Riven was her sword so they could have a proper fight worth his time.
Spinny Blade Lady: Irelia. A battle waltz expert from Ionia. Completely broken in game (not really broken but rather easy to play and very strong) so she gets more hate than she deserves as a character.
Shielding Green Energy lady: Karma. Karma is the Avatar of an ancient Ionian soul that reincarnates itself within someone of each generation to protect Ionia and it's people forever.
Electric Hamster: Kennen. He is a yordle ninja trained by Shen and specializes in lightning. He's essentially ninja pikachu but can actually talk.
Giant Axe Oogabooga: Sion. An ancient Noxian legend that was reincarnated by modern day noxus to continue to serve. He feels nothing except anger and bloodlust. In game a viable strategy with him is to not care about deaths at all and just blitz all their towers. It's called inting scion (intentionally dying/feeding scion) so there are a bunch of memes circulating the character because of how silly his in game strategy can be.
