Thank you. Don't fancy a light shining on me but beaming it on a wall to reflect back on my face works for me. So glad to know I don't really need a ring light after all as I am particularly conscious of the ring that appears in people's eyes but not having a light source accentuates the unflattering shadows on our face.
Great Job on your Videos!!!! Hey Tim-Which of your videos do you explain how you KEEP YOU IN THE VIDEO SPEAKING, while sharing your screen & how you took the background, out of your picture, as you keep speaking to the audience, with a shared screen in the background--BRILLIANT! Please share your hack for that!
Yes, any lighting in front of you will be beneficial. Still, make sure there’s no lights right behind you. Trial and error to see what looks good. Being aware and caring about it is the first step 👍🏻
Hi, I actually use my Sony a6500 connected to my iMac with an Elgato Camlink. You can also use a Canon DSLR connected directly to your computer using the EOS utility app
Great tips Tim. I have windows behind me...big No No. Will need to rotate my desk.
Yep, that's an easy one to fix. Laptop or desktop?
@@TimHarrisVideo Its a Desktop with Webcam....how old skool is that.
How are the images out of that webcam? Time for a new desktop/laptop?

Glad that tip helped you out. Yes, many people say that a ring in the eye is desirable, but I think it looks weird. Good luck :)

@@TimHarrisVideo thank you for your response. I never even thought of making sure no lights behind me.
@sbeckas Yes and many people don’t think of that! That’s why I make a point of it in my video 👍🏻
What webcam do you use?
