Great, there's just something I don't understand. if the descending limb causes water to diffuse via osmosis into the medulla, wouldn't it make the tissue hypotonic rather than hypertonic?

My teacher told me that the loop of Henley is surrounded by Na+ and this prevents the water from leaving the loop of Henley
