when it’s on boost correct AFR of 12 is pretty good for ron98 fuel, but cruising off boost 14-16 is okay depending on the engine, These on 15psi i would like to see 11.7 11.5 , but you are 100% correct on boost full throttle 12 is okay, but remember we werent meant to be hitting boost , or doing full throttle runs :), I think we all were getting to excited.. just meant to be testing for leaks
that is a great question, mitsubishi probably didn’t make the piping bigger on the 3.8, they normally slapped dual cat converter on all the 3.8 engines for emissions, if you find a model with bigger header and pipes with out the cat converter then that would help make some more power, or get some extractors 🙂
I envy you the availability of the 6G75. I've got 6G74 from USDM Diamante and there is almost no option for upgrade here in Poland. We have some Eclipses and Galants imported but the engine prices are ridiculous. Do all 6G75 non MIVEC heads are the same? I mean the bigger intake valves and better flowing ports? I'm supercharging my with the RIPP kit from the Eclipse but it would be good to have some options for flow improvement 😉

@@GREASEGARAGE right now I have some big pulley on the supercharger and made about 5 psi near redline but with a boost leak and without an intercooler. I'm using the EcuFlash for tuning and I have prepared smaller pulley but need bigger injectors (using 3.8 injectors right now) and intercooler.
@@matiz33 the pink sti injectors are a great little number , they plug in, and if you got the magna fuel rail and lower manifold, there is no modifying needed

I have 2016 pajero with the 3.5 engine 6g74 , if i install the headers of 3.8 and the y extention ,it will make some more power?

@@matiz33 honestly the standard engine can happily take 10psi from a good size turbo, the standard ecu can be reflashed to 8psi using a evoscan tuner

probably didn't hit anything - just knock. Stock 6G75 pistons have a thin top land - will break with boost and knock.

I've read the piston rods on the 6g74 are stronger than the 75 & people switch these?
That's what happens when your piston rings gaps aren't gapped for boost
Agreed , remember it was a completely standard engine, and tune with boost… but it lasted 82ks, that’s worth something
Without watching it, the engine leaned out and detonated , flattened the bearing , killed the head gasket and broke the pistons.
