I have been detailing cars for over 20 years. It's one of my main hobbies and passions! I thought I'd make a tutorial to educate people on the proper car wash techniques. You'll see, it's not that hard to do!

I never see it as “work”. For me, it’s a passion and it actually relaxes me and takes my mind off things. You need to focus on the task at hand and you forget about everything else.

Just washed my car using my own expertise. I did exactly what you told not too. I went all swirly with the spreading the soap and used the same cloth for tires and the body. I'm thankful that I came across this channel.

I told a Lady where I was washing cars with my father Not to use Dish detergent on her car n she got real mad n aggravated cause I said that,,,,,.she felt insulted but I was trying to tell her I could wash her car with our products and she denied to it n proceed to use Green Palmolive on her 1984 veh.😶

Great video Pan, I almost always clean my wheels last, two bucket method using the same bucket of shampoo I used for the body of the vehicle for my wheels with a dedicated wheel mitt. When necessary I will use an iron remover as a prewash stage prior to my hands on washing the body and wheels. Detailing is so fun!

Really love this video, I know you wash your own car a different way and much more detailed, however those videos can be overwhelming and difficult for guys who are just starting out or who don’t have there own garage, so I appreciate a simple car wash video
Yes the intention behind this video was a basic car wash tutorial without more complex steps. As you get comfortable with the basics, then you move to my more advanced videos.

Perfect video for a beginner like me that used to use circular motion to clean and not use micro fibre mitts in the past. Keep up the good work. Awesome video, thanks so much! How would you suggest getting brake dust off of the inside of the wheel closer to the center of the car? If I have 225 tires on, my hand can only get in an inch or two and I don't have a jack or lift to raise the car, so how can I clean the wheels entirely? Or is the trick to just clean the wheels weekly and not let the dust accumulate?
Thanks! To properly reach the inside of the wheel, you need a SpeedMaster brush (amzn.to/2qQIwYI), or Wheel Woolies brushes (amzn.to/2pVVpRV).
Also, the more frequently you wash your wheels, the less brake dust will accumulate over time. I wash my car twice weekly and wash the wheels every time. Use a quality wheel cleaner to help brake down brake dust and that will greatly help too (amzn.to/2pp5iGM),
That cabinet with the detail supplies gave me butterflies in my stomach ;) Now I'm completely motivated to step up my car game!

I'm surprised that the bucket wasn't filled with water first before adding soap. I usually fill a small container with warm water and dissolve in the soap THEN pour that solution directly into the other bucket. That way, there aren't a million annoying bubbles that get everywhere.

Good video Pan but this should be updated. You should include the 2 bucket method, separate bucket for wheels/rims, proper gsm polishing towels, etc. Keep up with the awesome techniques and reviews of detailing equipment. Love to find cheaper yet more effective equipment.
