- Dicey Dungeons Part 4 - the most unpredictable character in the game so far. Don't get attached to any of your equipment, because after each fight, one of them gets turned into a shiny new gadget. My strategy has to change every fight, hopefully I have a good one by the time it matters.

Scrap metal is always offered to be discarded at the end of the fight to be turned into the special ability. You can use this to keep a good build by just spending scrap metal when you don't get a good option. The game also gives you scrap metal more often than other items (through shops and level ups) to let protect your equipment better
Makes sense! That may help my issues with not being able to cleanly optimize a build.
@@Aliensrock I may be mistaken but I’m pretty sure cursed means that you are unable to complete your first action of your turn meaning if you were to use crystal sword when you were cursed as your first action it would not go through
@@sushicraft6155 Actually I think it means that actions have a 50% chance to fail until something fails
@@sushicraft6155 cursed is a 50% chance for each equipment to fail, until one does. So there’s only a 50/50 chance that it would be the first one. The curse could decide not to trigger and instead just keep sitting there, waiting.

Yeah the further down you get the character line the more luck based that get(with the exception of the last one, he's probably the second best character behind the Robot)

Your second crystal sword just went to the backpack instead of straight to your inventory. It was very sad to see when you discarded one of them.
Yeah I got primed into thinking it'd go straight to my inventory. Won't make that mistake again (probably)!
@@Aliensrock It is very strange that copy equipment decides "nah I'll chill out here". Maybe because the unupgraded version was bigger? Or maybe it's just with all copied equipment.
@@dusaprukiyathan1613 I think the copy equipment doesn’t check whether you’re actual usable inventory is full, so it just decides going into your backpack is better just in case

It does say "A copy has been added to your backpack"
@@Aliensrock Yeah - I knew immediately: when you chose the sword as your "Copy" target, the flavor text afterwards said "A copy has been placed in your backpack".
Probably does this as default in case your loadout is full
WOOOO INVENTOR POG... she's really got a fun play style, but the challenges for each dice can get real hard. if you do cover those, I wish you the best of luck!!
Nice! Underleveled win would be a crazy build. You used the right "tool" for the job.
for anyone still unaware, there are 6 "episodes" for each of the characters and a final boss so this is gonna be a long playlist

@@pirilon78 It's REALLY different, I've 100% it on steam and I can say it gets a interesting
Inventor and the next one are the two hardest characters; they're less luck-reliant than they feel but it's easy for things to fall apart long-term if you aren't careful, especially for next episode's character. She's by far the hardest to use well, though it can be so satisfying.
6:50 you could have 1 turned the 26hp squid by doing:
5 with the plasma gun+
15 with crystal sword+
3 with keyblade+
3 with flamethrower
For a perfect kill
That crystal sword play hurt. But other than that, great video as always!

You can have more than 1 Cyrstal Sword, i had 3 in play once and absolutly slayed with them.
Ya it’s because for some odd reason whenever you copy equipment it never gets added to the inventory but instead the backpack. He realized this after noticing that crystal sword was in his backpack
Inventor is my least favorite character of the bunch, but the next one is one of the best(and the most hated) character. I think you'll like her
Lol inventor is my favorite and next up is my least favorite; at the same time I get it, least favorite doesn't mean bad.
I love this character a lot because there are so many micro decisions.
Before *every* fight, you have to think about what equipment to put in. Do I put in something worse so I don't potentially have to scrap something good?
And then, it is *possible* to keep equipment around and rely on it every fight, but it comes at a heavy cost of clogging up your scrap offers.
I personally don't tend to like when you can just make something optimal every run in games like this :) But that's just me, I know some people just like to play to get ridiculous and OP runs. For me, the more trade-offs I have to make, and the less obvious the "correct" choice is, the better!
He should definitely 100% the game. I'm having fun seeing him play these.

Hey if you play a game as the thief and fight the alchemist on the second stage you can steal the bear potion and turn yourself into the secret bear dice for the rest of the run you should try it out.
Enjoying this series! This game definitely has some fun mechanics and enough content in each character that you can just do what you find fun and still have quite a bit of gameplay. I wouldn't feel pressured to 100% complete it though unless you keep enjoying it as you go as some of the challenges are pretty tough and take many attempts
Missed lethal 6:45
If you do a Bump on a 6, you get a 6 + an extra 1 die, then you can use limit break to turn that 1 die into a 6.
Nice to see you play a classic! If you're going to play "old" games, you should definitely give Knock on the Coffin Lid a try. It's a beautiful, and honestly very fun Deck Builder that has some cool equipment management and meta progression that really change the way you can play the game. I would love to see you play it :)
I two shot a boss with this guy with crystal sword, something that let me re-use it to negate the one time per battle, and a fury gadget.
This effectively let me use something that you are only supposed to use once per battle twice per turn. I love this game.
I’m loving all these characters more and more. But so far I loved the robot the most. This game just looks so amazing. And I hope for you to have fun making these videos. Ps when the scrap metal said it would always be used as scrap it probably meant it would always be one of the options to turn into a gadget
5:25 - I know I'm late, but still, Tyler, you could've Focused to get the two dice to 6 and 6, then use Flamethrower to deal 12 damage and 2 burn!

I really like this charchter as with alot of rogue likes it seems you can set up a strategy early game and just coast the rest of the eay but with this guy you actually have to think and be engaged the entire game
I think the car weighs down the wheel so you lose every time which is really funny
Inventor seems pretty nice but the super ability doesn’t really synergise. This is just a suggestion but I think if the super ability made the gadget into a permanent equipment (which takes up the same space as the og equipment used) would be really fun.
Hey Tyler have you considered doing a crazy high damage run on backpack hero? I’ve seen some other RUclipsrs do them and figured it would be your style.
I got really stuck on the different phases (not the first time through) with the witch! can't wait to see how you do it!

I've never been more sad than when I saw him scrap the crystal sword. that scrapped is so OP for the final boss, especially if you have a second crystal sword to fury with.
Yes!! next episode is the best character. Lots of decisions to make that can bite you in the ass
Flamethrower+ is my favorite, honestly, it just feels sadistic and pure evil and I like that 6+6+6+6 damages with focus is incredible, wow 24
and it combines super well with hookshot cuz if used then flamethrower+ can be used again this fight

Inventor is like if in the middle of yu-gi-oh you are allowed to chuck a card in an attempt to blind the opponent.
The key with the inventor is to never have three things you want to keep on you, they’re a pretty fun character

Getting a flamethrower+ then copying it for 2 24 damage hits in the same battle is one of the most rewarding playstyles in the game imo.

@@TheArQu Eh, he shows the entirety of all battles, so that train of logic does not really hold. Besides, would be a rather boring video if he only included the exact important clips of his run (which is probably why he doesn't do it that way).

Its not really rng heavy as you get tons of equipment and a lot of it is good, you can also control what you lose and keep good stuff with yoi the whole run.

It's not really wrong. Dice is widely used as the singular and since there's no authority for the English language, it should be considered as a correct alternative.

The whole concept of certain spellings or phrasings being wrong is a modern invention anyway. Shakespeare didn't care at all and spelled stuff however he felt that day. But disregarding that, if the majority of native English speakers say it a certain way, you can't just say it's wrong. As soon as it's widely accepted, it has become a correct way to spell it and prescriptivist language purists obsessing over it doesn't change anything. *That's* not how languages work. It's not like maths where there's an objective right or wrong.
In this case, it's even more extreme. The New Oxford Dictionary of English says "In modern standard English, the singular die (rather than dice) is uncommon. Dice is used for both the singular and the plural."
