    Skateboarding RUclips has gone for so long with non-pros leading the way.
    It's insane to see how a pro like Tom Asta is on such a different level.
    The number of skaters that can flip in or flip out is so small yet this content is fire!

    • @drippyscratchcat
      @drippyscratchcat Год назад +13

      Also cuz he approaches tricks differently. He's explaining how he thinks about approaching a trick coming from a true professional level. U wouldn't want to learn how to play guitar from someone who's just learning, would U? Makes WAY more sense the way Tom approaches and explains cuz of his EXPERIENCE, board control and MANY, MANY hours of doing these tricks for YEARS. He also doesn't have to worry about views, cuz his profession is NOT being a RUclipsr. He's a skater first. This is what "how to" videos should look like. From a PROfessional.

    P-Rod and Greg Lutzka are my two favorite Kickflip-in skaters. P-Rod’s bag of tricks makes him more confident and clean flipping into almost anything. Greg Lutzka is so quick with kickflips that when he flips into a trick, the flick looks like it never happened. Magic.
    PJ Ladd is really good with them too. PJ just flips out of tricks better to me than his flip-in tricks.

    I totally agree with what you said about kickflip boardslides (I’m thinking kf front boards mostly). I do flip ins a lot, and one of my fav rail tricks is kf back lip, but I have probably done less than 20 kf front boards in my life. Hell, even kf front feeble, or front blunt on a flatbar is less scary to me than a kf front board. It could be just that I skipped that trick growing up, but they have never felt comfy for me

    Sooo good! I appreciate your recent uploads and tutorials! THANKS A LOT! So many steezy tricks (flip bs nosegrind and lip fs tailslide were butter) in this video and your knowledge is one of a kind. I could do some flip in tricks when i was younger. My favourites were flip fs or bs noseslide and flip fs and bs 5-0. They felt so good! Also nollie flip bs 50-50 worked out pretty good. Nowadays my kickflips and heelflips are not as good anymore. I am working on them again but with family and work its not that easy to spend much time on the board. ): At the moment i like pop shuvit fs 5-0s really much. They are not so hard and look good.

    My bff Nyjah taught me how to flip in. After a night of drinking titos we decided to skate this really cute ledge. After Jah did his yoga which include the splits because he's soooo flexible, he went straight to flipping into all the grinds. I wanted to try. He was all sweaty and flipping into those hot boy tricks and I wanted to look like that too. He saw that I was nervous and did a nose manual to me and pretended to fall right into my lips!!! He grabbed my hands interlocking our fingers and said, "See? Even daddy falls too. Go get it tiger." It was the confidence I needed. After 30 minutes I did my first kickflip 50.

    Could we talk about the "upper body", shoulder position and "wings" as I like to call it that all the clean precision pros practice (Shane, Asta, Prod..)?
