post a comment if you have this monitor. I think for $110 it's a great option as a second screen for things like stocks, news, or anything for additional content.
You dropped that video pretty early for your timezone! Yeah, the BenQ monitors are great, especially the PD series.
Yes monitor is great for money.
Yeah, my daughter enjoy using the BenQ GW2485TC. The price is right for student. I am eyeing the PD3225U in coming Black Friday 😆
I hope they put a sale up on Black Friday.
That's a great looking monitor, especially at that price point.
It's a nice panel for 110
I really like the professional look of this monitor! Impressive for that money!
Yes, dollar for dollar it's a nice monitor for sure. Can't beat it for a second screen.
Thanks for the review. I've been looking to buy a new monitor for home use after doing a lot of research online I find this monitor best for budget. In India it costs around 8000-9000₹ rupee on online store (so comparing to other monitors at this price range it's a steal deal must buy)
Yes, for a budget screen it's one of the best as long as you want 1080p. Thank you.
You cannot go wrong with a BenQ monitor, the GW2490 is a bargain at this price.
It's top of its class for 109
@@craigneidelThis video was so timely! I picked up a GW2490 and a GW2790 for my workstation displays this week. I’m extremely happy and LOVE the blue-light eye care reduction feature. And best of all, the two monitors together cost less than the ONE 27” model I had been looking at!
as it has auto brightness sensor..suppose it is not detecting the light properly..or i want to manually keep one fix brightness?can i do that?i mean can i turn that auto brightness off?
Yes, you can turn it off and program brightness so it stays in one place. I was just adjusting mine for the video and I need to keep it low brightness when filming.
Would this be a okay choice for my IMac m3? I use it as a secondary monitor for marketing.
@@courtneycobb43 if your fine with 1080p it's going to be fine for that.
@Craig Neidel Black levels is good or like all ips glow ?
For the price they are about as good as they get.
I bought this monitor after your review, but I feel the text is a bit blurry with default settings. What settings What should I change to improve it please ? I have the 24 inches model.
At 1080P I think it's about as sharp as a 1080P monitor gets. Don't forget it's around $100 and only 1080 but I thought it was good in that range for sure.
1920 x 1080
How will this monitor be for photo and video editing?
It's 1080p. So if that resolution works for you then it's one of the best but of course it's not 1440 or 4K.
Bought today, only problem I found is we can see pixels clearly.
It's 1080p. Of course it's not 4k.
Can i mount this monitor on we clever dual monitor stand and in amazon basis dual monitor stand ??
It has a standard vesa mount so it that works then I don't see why not.
Please tell me about backlight bleeding i am confused to buy whether this one or the lg24mr400.
I don't have much at all with my BenQ. But I haven't really used the LG too much to compare.
@@craigneidel thanks you so much for your reply, sir please can you give me an image in black screen of this monitor so that I can see it's back light. Please sir it would be a great help.. you give me drive link of that image.🙏
I would just go to rtings and see their review. They do a better job.
@@craigneidel already checked no one did that..
I don't have this setup now but if I do I'll see what I can do. I get so many monitors to test I only have a few in use at the same time.
I do coding, surf internet, and watch movies and stuffs. So will it be perfect for my needs?
as long as you are fine with 1080P then it's a great monitor.
Same model with 27 inch will the text get a little blur
Maybe a little but Benq is one of the best at sharp text on Macs when dealing with non-5K monitors.
My eyes are pretty bad. My nearsightedness became worse after using vsp monitor. I don't have much money, is this a good choice to protect my eyes? pls rep me
If you are good with 1080P it's a nice monitor for the money.
@@craigneidelBenQ 2490 or Lenovo L24i-40 ? I am hesitant help mee
Can we connect Amazon fire stick to this monitor?
I don't see why not and thanks for watching.
What next? Best CRT?
Some people still want a inexpensive monitor for things
The 27" is a better deal
Maybe but this is good for limited space
@@craigneidel i have a 27" imac, if i want to add a second display it would be a 27" not 24"
Yes, the 27" is basically the same.
