- In this episode we took a day trip to spend time down the shore at Ocean City, New Jersey and wanted to grab some sandwiches before relaxing on the beach. Pete's Subs and Deli located on 501 Zion road in Egg Harbor Twp New Jersey is as real as it gets when it comes to the freshest and tastiest hoagies and cheesesteak. The pepper relish was the icing on the sandwich. Watch and enjoy the spirit of the shore and my commentary on what stood out about these hoagie and cheesesteak sanwiches.

I saw $16 for a whole and was like it's high until I saw the meat.......... My mouth is watering..
It’s half that price for what I ordered per hoagie. The whole size can feed 4 people so $16 is a good deal

I love turkey breast but honestly Italian seems the way to go. I'm not a huge fan of Italian hoagies because of the meat selection but when you talk about a hoagie it has to be at the top because of the flavors and variety that's in them.
You ain’t lying. Italian is my preference for hoagies but when I’m trying to eat light I go with Turkey
Their Turkey is awesome as well, the Tuna is excellent and their Meatball Parm is compromised of their grandmom’s meatball recipe/homemade and outstanding as well. You can’t go wrong at this place with whatever you order.

Looks beautiful! I rarely ate on the boards when I was down the shore. Was always too busy hanging out, avoiding the undertow, and playing Skee-Ball -- now teaching my daughter how to play that. Next I'm in the area, I'll stop there. Thanks!!!

Dude that old Italian classic sandwich looks as gnarly as it could be. Nothing can compare to a really good sandwich like that.
After stopping by 2x to have the Italian Hoagie , Im sold. Pete's is the best Hoagie I've ever had = The Best

Man every place you have recommended, that I have tried so far, has been fantastic. The food is as good as you say, and the experience is great. One place in particular, Rochester's BBQ in Lawnside NJ has me jonesing for more BBQ. Can't wait to get back there!

I live in EHT! Petes is the best in town Vic's in Absecon is very good also. IMHO the two best in the area. Petes pedigree is White House in AC and Vic's. Honorable mention is Suger Hill in Mays Landing! I dont generally like the lettuce on the bottom but Pete makes it work!

I used to go to the Jersey shore with friends every year in the 1990s. There was a store there with a deli and the subs were absolutely unreal. I cant remember the name of the store. All I remember is that it was close to the WaWa store. Thanks for bringing those memories back. Some of the best times of my life 👍👍😁
I love it,"a meat driven sub-shop". JL, you are the best! It doesn't get much better, day at the Jersey shore with the family! I checked the prices and at about $8 for each huge sandwich it's a steak! It's always been true that the take-out places on the way to the shore are cheaper & sometimes much better than the spots at the beach! First of all, much lower rents & overhead & secondly usually small family-owned & run! Yes, the boardwalk & beach-front spots are more convenient & fun as well! JL, keep up the great work👍⭐

I was just there this morning. I got an 18" Italian Special with a house salad with Tuna. I gave them a 5 star review and mentioned you in the review as well. I drove from Nova, 3 1/2 hour drive. But, it was worth. Thank God, my family live about 10 minutes away.

I sure do misss my South Jersey sub shops. Last time I went back home I loaded-up on 12 "unassembles" Italians from the Broad Street Deli in Bridgeton and made a LOT of people VERY happy back her in southwest Virginia. I just found this channel and I'll be watching for more "food porn" from Philly to the Jersey shore. Thanks for making me salivate and I might have to stop in at Pete's in Egg Harbor to try the Italian classic myself. I almost always hit the White House Sub Shop on the Boardwalk or the Arctic Ave shop in A.C.

We call them Gadsbee's here in South Africa. They will have diffrent meats but must have fries and a tomatoes,onions,cucumbers and lettes salad on. The sauces will be to your choice aswell like tomato catchup and mayonnaise. Meats can be: cold meats, fish, chicken and steak, pork beacon, fried eggs, sausage and hamburger patties. BUT the potatoe fries must be there!!!. The baguette is a 1 & 1/2 foot long cut to sizes you prefer all depends to how manny is sharing the light crispy 1/2 foot broad filled baguette. I am from Cape Town the most beautiful city in the world. I watch you and Mark Wiens today GBY🙏

Nothing like a Brooklyn N.Y.C hero outright! Since moving to Jersey thank god I live in a Part where it can be called a Hero and made with the real deal Italian Bread shipped straight from NYC 🙏 this hero I have to say does not look that bad. Nothing but respect but I'm a real New York born and raised Italian from Brooklyn and trust me nobody does heros better then we do that's why we opened up real spots in Central New Jersey, Florida and Vegas 😀👍Love the Channel but that bread is not even close to the legit Italian Bread. Need Tips? Not even a problem and you don't even have to go to NYC to get the REAL Italian Bread that don't fall apart.
I agree the AC rolls are not that good. Rolls in Philly make up for that . But at white house in AC, there rolls are from down the street , so they get their rolls, but they're not the best rolls , but heir hoagies and steaks are real good, with a better roll = The best
