KOFA National Wildlife Refuge is a beautiful area to explore while dispersed camping in Arizona. While there, you got to do the 3/4 mile hike to Palm Canyon to see the Palms growing in the canyon. If you are in the area, check this place out.

Thanks for showing me what the Palm Canyon looks like. I camped one night in KOFA back in March, 2020, but never made it to see the palms. If I had tried, my old geezer bones might still be there. :) Keep up your great videos. Safe travels!
I'm hoping to be able to make that hike for as long as I can. I was definitely struggling. LOL Safe Travels to you to!
Your videos are awesome Mark. I’m a truck camper in AZ and I plan to follow the route of your last three sites! Keep exploring!
Glad you enjoyed the videos and are planning on following the route! Keep me posted on what you though of the spots if you could. I've got more coming. Safe Travels!
Ken is my dad! Thanks for keeping him company on his hike. You’ve gained another subscriber out of me 🙌🏽
Cheers from Oregon!
It was great to meet your dad, he's a great hiking buddy.
KOFA has been on my bucket list for a while but I haven't been there yet. Thank you for sharing the climb to the palms, I would never be able to do that since I have mobility issues. Thank you again for sharing the awesome places you visit.
So jealous of what you are getting to do !
Your videos are an awesome inspiration to many people !
I'm trying to live my best life!
@DispersedCamperMan continue living and sharing with us !
Pretty awesome to see palm trees out there like that
I know, right? Very unique!
I love your videos. They're very helpful
I'm glad you find them helpful.
Such a great boondocking road. The Goats! Hope to see some when I visit the area soon.
It's a great spot, but those weren't goats, they were long horned sheep. At first I thought they were rams.
One of our favorite areas while we are wintering at the LTVA!
Mine to!
Nice video Mark, I think one of your best considering the beautiful location and your interaction with your subscriber Ken from Oregon. It would be nice if some baby palms could sprout up and replace the damaged trees some day. Stay safe buddy. Kenny C Oregon
I appreciate that. The canyon was really nice. It was nice having a hiking buddy for sure.
We heard you struggle 😂 but I wouldn’t do any better. Nice job. Very cool place to see, I would not mind hiking up to see the palm trees 🌴
I hear you. I slept good that night. LOL The Palm trees are worth the hike.
@DispersedCamperMan yes they are!
I was there several years ago. I was saddened by how many names were carved into the palm trees. Very nice place to get away and reflect on life.
Palm Canyon is definitely a special place.
I thought hiking down was more difficult! I did this with my dog. Thanks for the trip down memory lane! Beautiful!💛
Palm Canyon is a great place to hike!
Thanks I loved getin to go all the way up to the palms
Thanks Ken for hiking with me!
What a ....view!!! You lucky guy! Palm canyon is so cool!
Palm Canyon is definitely a special place!
I just came across your channel, the next afternoon I was headed back to camp after a long mountain bike ride and saw your rig and had to take a double take. Weird I stumbled across your channel and then see you the following day. Went to say hi the next day and your rig was gone. Safe travels.
That was weird, small world, it's always fun to run into fellow campers!
Who knew about these palm trees. Nice camp setup and solar panels.
Palm Canyon is a pretty cool spot!
Love hiking those rugged trails in the desert, especially the mountain trails. Thanks for sharing the awesome views.
I agree, desert hiking is the best!
Picked up new engine today. About 4 days till launch!
Hoping to make the truck camper rally in roadrunner. Already have tickets.
Hope to see you there.
PS: You sound like me huffing and puffing up the palm canyon. More Wheatties!
Good to hear. Safe Travels!
Nice Mark, looks like a great place. I had already planned to go there but watching this makes it easier, thanks!~
Glad to hear it! Hope you have a good time!
I'm gonna have to check out that hike. A few years ago I did Signal peak which has a heck of a view from the top, skull rock is pretty cool too
Skull rock is pretty neat, decided to do that hike over by queens canyon the next time.
Thanks for another great video. I camp out there. I think it’s cool to have the Saguaro cactus makes me feel good.
It is pretty cool to see all the saguaros. The desert is amazing!
Been there and loved it. Great for biking, too. Enjoy!
I agree, it's a great area to explore!
Thanks for another good Video.
Kofa is an awesome place .
I agree, it's a great area.
Another great video, my friend. Just noticed the new truck and camper, too. Great job. Very inspirational
I’m glad you found it inspirational!
Another nice place and good hike,,, stay safe out their buddy!
Thanks! I try to!
Nice, cant wait to make it back to Arizona.
Arizona is a great place to get out and explore!
My green tent is in one of your shots. Sorry never caught up with you. There was a herd of big horn sheep up by palm canyon this morning.
It was probably the same ones we saw. There were about 6 of them up on the mountain side. Neat to see.
Great video. We were just down the road while you were there.
Thanks! Love that area!
Incredible… I might like this site as well as any other! So cool to see you meet your subscriber Ken and chat a bit… that hike looks amazing. And how beautiful was that view and cluster of palm trees. Amazing! Thank you for sharing… best channel!
It's a great spot! The view from the top is worth the hike.
It looks fabulous! I was going to go again, but I thought it would be super crowded. 🌴🌴🌴
It was a nice surprise how uncrowded it was for this time of year.
@@DispersedCamperMan everyone must be up in Quartzsite having a great time. 😃
I think most people are headed for American Girl, Imperial, or Q. Leaves more KOFA for us :-)
I love KOFA and have camped there many times over the last 4 years and am actually there right now
Next time you come you should take the left turn on Queen Valley road and drive right into the mountains
The last time I was there 4 years ago, I rode that road back into the mountains. Beautiful back there.
@ I camped at the parking lot right at the entrance to the mountains (not palm canyon)and hiked up the valley to skull rock and beyond
I was told there is a trail up to the top of the mountains but couldn’t find it
I just drove right past you on my way from Yuma up to Quartzsite. I've never driven out into the area you're at.
That area is really cool!
I added some flexible solar panels, with 3m flexible tape so I didn't have to drill, to add to my electric needs.
Very nice. I hope I’m still hiking up canyons when I’m 73. What model top case is that on your Transalp? I’m thinking about getting a Kawasaki Versys X 300
That's what I was telling Ken. He was out hiking me with ease. LOL I bought something I could lock my helmet in while I was in a store. This is the one I have. amzn.to/4hpgQ6N
Going to the desert in the winter makes perfect sense so where do you go during the summer?
Arkansas. I spend some time on the lake.
It's a collapsed volcano 🌋 did you know that? also those palms have been there sence the jurassic period.
Pretty neat info. Thanks! I hope they are there for some time.
You should take your dirt bike over and have a look at skull rock
I was planning on checking out skull rock, but had to leave that area. I'll check it out next time for sure.
You have enough voltage to power your Starlink?
I have my starlink plugged into a 2000 Jackery. The solar panels on the ground keeps it charged. I'm seriously thinking about getting the starlink mini. It only uses 25 watts. I should be able to plug it into my onboard 12 volt. I'd just hang it from my inside ceiling and plug it into my 12 volt system.
How safe with all the border problems
I haven't had any problems. There are also lots of other campers out here. No Issues that I can tell.
Another great adventure from you!. I will definitely go visit that place when I head down to quartzsite in the future
You should!
