Fury created this situation by a) taking on Ngannou in the first place when he should have been fighting Usyk for undisputed, and b) performing the way he did and making Ngannou give him the runaround. It's now up to someone else, in this case AJ, to right the wrong Fury started and prove a former UFC fighter turned novice boxer shouldn't be sitting at the top of the tree of HW boxing.
Fury’s been overrated to F after his stink fest win over Wlad’s, and getting to that fraud Windmill first. The chickens came home to roost and now everyone outside of his fanbase see him as a charlatan who gets humiliated in Feb.

OH Simon this is where you are WRONG, this isnt about Boxing Vs MMA, this is about Francis Ngannou being something you are all under-estimating yet again. He is an 'against all odds' unique specimen of an athlete and someone that doesn't need to be on the boxing level of these guys, he is something else and (even though I think Joshua will box better than Fury in this one), I think Ngannou is gonna shock the world again (win or lose), he'll be putting Joshua on his back and the question is, what will happen when he does. I will not edit this comment and i'll come back here after their fight to say I told you so.
Totally agree It is a special case for Ngannou That does not mean what it is true for Ngannou is true for everyone. This guy is a special one. This is a complete missing part on the Simon statements 😊
@@taxfinancetipstvonequestio4107 Yep, because these boxing guys dont understand, dont know his story and havent watched his previous fights. He is a beast. The Predator!
Shame on Oliver and Simon for trying on every little opportunity to defend and protect Tyson Fury over his lost fight to Ngannou. Even Tyson Fury himself said it that he has no excuse that he had a full camp and got prepared for the fight. What a bunch of hypocrites
I'm not boxing expert, I'll say that :) I have watched most of the Francis UFC fights and frankly I was shocked at how different he looked against Fury. No looping wild punches, no wild charges. He was disciplined and his footwork was great and quick. I think it shocked Fury honestly. And I think when Fury got rattled at Francis keeping him in range so well, he decided he'd try to ragdoll him like he did Wilder, and got shocked again when Ngannou didn't budge an inch. IMO, Francis is now a boxer and if he'd made this move 10 years ago he'd be a serious problem for anyone. He still is, but father time is not on his side (or Zhang's or Fury's and a few others to be fair.) I disagree that the Ngannou we saw was a "one trick pony". He was a disciplined boxer and if anyone expected that, I didn't hear them say it before the fight. Lots of talk about the power but nothing about footwork or boxing because nobody saw it coming. The big question is still endurance, he would have won that fight if he hadn't been gassed in the last two rounds (he threw basically nothing).
Simon makes for a preposterous figure with his turtle neck, thick rimmed spectacles and his desperate clawing at intellectual oneupmanship. Kudos to Spencer for humouring him and carrying the show. 👏
Unfortunately Simon even at your “glory hunting” producer’s request I can’t vote for you as the “best sports cast in the combat section” coz…you ain’t 🤷♂️
People are exaggerating the Wallin win, Otto was terrible. Ngannou is limited but strong, can take a shot and will force Joshua onto the backfoot & AJ's frailties may reappear. An Ngannou stoppage is not a bad bet at 11/2
I agree, Otto was there to be punched. Ngannou will be way more dangerous. But the good thing with AJ is: He takes every fights seriously and prepares for them. He probably wouldn't have lost to Ruiz if he had prepared for that fight. But against Ngannou I just wouldn't say it'll be a walk in the park like most people think.
Talk less, watch more, listen and learn event more. Francis Ngannou has made me eat my words multiple times. I'll never bet against him again. Only fools don't change, and I'm not a fool.😊
I believe Francis himself is just in it for the money and no matter how well he does the judges will never actually let him win. I think he already knows it as part of his agreement with Saudi. Wasn't a lot of arguments coming from him considering he was basically robbed of heavyweight boxings greatest ever upset against Fury. He's being used as a gatekeeper for other fights to happen which is actually a shame because he looks quite handy and if he switched to boxing earlier in his career he could be challenging for world titles organically.
Is Callum Smith really elite? His best win is one-armed aging Groves before that there were no decent wins. The 1 elite fighter he faught he lost every round. His last 2 fights have been against poor opposition
Eddie Hearn "i asked Anthony about fighting nganou before fury, he laughed and said i don't want any joke fights, i want to be 3 time champion" Also Aj "now fighting nganou" 😊
He’s going to be very surprised when Usyk wins comfortably, as will all of fury’s admirers. It’s funny that since the ngannou fight most people are picking Usyk, prior to that people assumed it was an easy Fichte for fury, absurd. The most overrated heavyweight for decades
If …Usyk…beats Fury. The way to beat Usyk…just simply bombard him/bully him..he’s a small man to these big big boys. AJ tries to box a mercurial boxer in Usyk. Mouse brains…
@@Eric-qm5xw Usyk is bigger than Muhammad Ali🤣 the idea all you have to do is ‘big man’ him is ridiculous, Usyk won’t be there, it’s called foot movement
Ngannou won the fight. He won several rounds and knocked fury down twice. Fury faked a slip by holding on to ngannou but he was knocked down. Ngannou won. He is unbeaten and i see him as the lineal champion fury is in disgrace far more than when Joshua lost to Usyk or Ruiz but he still gets rewarded with undisputed. After he gets pummelled by Usyk fury will have another mental breakdown or he might take on Joshua to rebuild his career. If he takes Joshua he will be flattened. Look how hard it was for fury to beat wallin nanda Joshua dispatched him effortlessly. Joshua knocks out ngannou, then wins the IBF title against Hrgovic, and then finishes the year by a KO in the fourth round against Fury
What this guy (Simon) refuses to acknowledge is that Joshua is and always had been capable of winning a 3rd title and many knew this- Simon was the only one who didn't get the memo. First he says the path has been cleared for AJ, then he says AJ might be able to beat this version of Tyson Fury. Well who's fault would that be and when would Joshua actually get credit for doing anything? People just need to say boxing of this era is rubbish and weak and stop watching or accept that AJ consistently steps up to the big challenges. Criticism when he loses never comes with caveats, therefore praise when he wins should be met with the same energy
Don't be silly Simon, Tyson Fury is a man of the people who gives full multi million pound purses to homeless charities, the man is a modern day saint.
@salfordant8884 I'm commenting on Spencer saying that fury might. He won't. I never mentioned joshua, so I'm not sure why you're mentioning his last 3 fights
Simon doesnt understand Tyson didnt switch trainers during wilder because his legs were gone, its that he needed the middle on the rightt type style to bring it to wilder and not get slapped with right hand running around, he just stuck to that game plan and as long hes trained he can do it again but thats not the style that beats USYK, I feel he still need to be middle of the ring bring it on style
Why when Fury has bad performance. "He's under prepared" we never hear this when AJ or Wilder or Joe Joyce performs bad. Ngannou is not the first fighter too make Fury look bad. Furys performance always been inconsistent. First McDermott fight many say McDermott was robbed by I'll digress. Much smaller Steve Cunningham drops Fury then rocks him in another round. Was winning until Fury use his leaning & other "tactics " Otto Wallin gave him trouble first half of their fight . Seems to me double standards. I always felt AJ knocks out Fury. Look at the details look at Furys Boxrec you will see 2 warm up fights in between every 3rd or 4th notable opponent. Strategically done
I’ve been saying this since Andy Simon and most of the British media hates on aj he the only one taking fights after fight and remember he’s the cash cow not fury they put pressure on aj to fight every one but not fury or any other fighters

Why should Anthony Joshua be the only person to fight tough fighters while fury handpicked fighters. So fury can do whatever he wants in this sport right.
Why are people still saying "the Fury that beat Wilder will beat AJ".. How do we know that...I mean Wilder might not have been as good as people thought..His resume certainly suggests this....Basically if AJ ends up beating Fury, Simon Jordan and so many others will just say, "AJ would have never beaten the Fury that beat Wilder"..The man can't win.. Another person who use to get criticised like AJ was Lennox Lewis...So hopefully like him people will at least appreciate AJ once hes retired...We need to see the fights, we can't just say this person beats this person etc etc..And that exact logic is why Wilder was held in such regard...He didnt actually beat anyone elite...And only one or two top tens..His whole persona was built on his fans saying,,, "wilder would destroy Whyte so why should he fight him,,, Wilder would destroy Ruiz so why should he fight him, wilder would destroy Joyce so why should he fight him"... bla bla bla

Simon is a clown. The reason why AJ is fighting Ngannou is because Wilder messed up the fight. He already signed to fight in March for a non title fight. He was never fighting Hrgovic next.
Simon being a bit dense here. Ngannou is a great opportunity for AJ to close the gap on Fury. 6 months ago he'd been written off completely as a live threat to Tyson.

I can’t see Joshua stopping ngannou he’s one hard man can take a punch and deffinettley give one the only way Joshua beats him is if he keeps him at range and not get hit because he is goin to be hit then we will see if Joshua’s back or not I like the fight for a novice ngannou looked amazing it’s an interesting fight can’t wait
zhang would do a job on parker in my opinion, not to take anything from parkers victory over wilder but wilder was done and has always been there for the taking, Zhang is so accurate, fast and hard hitting and efficient, he will close distance on parker
I like Callum Smith, but there’s no proof he’s an Elite boxer, lost to Ryder but got a lucky decision, lost to canelo and looked 💩against him, I hope he beats beterbiev but it will simply be down to he’s age, I’m sorry but it will
I love what the Saudi's are doing with boxing because before them the sport was dying and none of the promoters was working together. The way the fight cards are stacked now is tremendous, I never thought I'd see the day!
I think what Simon is missing is that to operate at heavyweight you don’t need to be a great boxer (particularly in this era). Physicality and basic fundamentals will suffice. Ngannou has both along with a top draw mentality. Simon’s dismissal of the man highlights his lack of understanding when it comes to fighting. No amount of pontificating can paper over that.
You've obviously never watched a Wilder fight then, he looked absolutely shot to pieces and using odd tactics that he's never tried before. Shot to pieces.
False equivalency comparing a boxer entering the octagon. Boxers don't train take-downs, take-down defence, kicks, grappling. MMA fighters train stand up and throwing punches, it's much easier for them to transfer their skills in to boxing. In saying that Fury clearly beat Ngannou, what else should he have done?
I don't understand the outrage, Joshua's career has been managed fantastically by Eddie and continues to be. He's only been found out against 2 opponents and with his limited talent is a testament to the guy that's made the fights.
AJ and Eddie should be thanking Fury and Frank for suffering the complete sht-storm of criticism they received for taking that cash-grab against Francis that AJ is now being almost applauded for doing the exact same thing. Sure, this AJ v Francis fight is a consequence of Fury struggling so badly with him and Wilder losing, but regardless of that, this AJ vs Francis fight is no different from the Fury vs Francis fight that Fury and Frank got sliced and diced by the media over and yet AJ and Eddie get a pat on the back for it. Btw I don't have a problem with either fight, but I'm just highlighting the comical double-standards at play by the media and how it views two camps doing the exact same thing for the exact same reasons.
The difference was Fury was world champion and should have been defending his title simply as that. AJ is not a world champion and can do as he pleases.
@@BB49. Only Fury was supposed to fight mandatory title defense against Andy Ruiz but fell through because Andy wanted 9 million or some delusional bs like that, and all the other credible heavyweights were either just after a fight or already signed into other fights such as Usyk v DDD, Joyce v Zhang and AJ v Robert so unless you fancied v Wilder 4 or v Chisora 4 there wasn't really anyone with a name available for Fury and a lot of that was down to himself too obviously. With AJ, he's repeatedly said recently that becoming a 3 time champ was the most important thing ever, beyond money and he'd even turn down a fight with Wilder(before Wilder lost to Parker) if he was offered a title fight instead. Yet here he is turning down a fight that would put him on course for his precious all important 3rd title fight in favor of a big bag of cash against an MMA fighter. So no, there's no difference other than pedantic argument points. Both Fury and AJ took this fight against an MMA fighter for the exact same reason, a big bag of cash, only Fury got roasted for it and AJ isn't.
Simon can be so irrational sometimes! You can’t say Ngannou is a one trick pony if you’ve only seen him once. After this AJ fight, we’ll know better. Before Ngannou and Fury fought, almost everyone thought Fury was going to handle Ngannou, period! There were no caveats. Now the result was different from expected , some are claiming Fury would have handled Ngannou IF he trained properly etc, BS. Based on intuition, a boxer should be able to fairly easily handle an MMA fighter in boxing. And what’s the evidence for that? Floyd vs Connor. What else? Reality sometimes doesn’t align with intuition that’s why, in science, we perform experiments, lots of them. Ngannou vs AJ is another experiment. We’ll know more after it. AJ might be able to handle Ngannou easily, so what? He also handled Wallin, a top boxer, easily too. Maybe it’s not about Boxer vs MMA fighter but one man vs another man

Weak belly usyk was offered the fight and ducked fury, stating he was "tired and injured"
Fury is fighting Usyk, so who cares. Stop hating
Fury’s been overrated to F after his stink fest win over Wlad’s, and getting to that fraud Windmill first.
The chickens came home to roost and now everyone outside of his fanbase see him as a charlatan who gets humiliated in Feb.
You mean like Fury (and Parker) came to AJ's aid and gave him excuses not to confront his ultimate nightmare and fight Wilder. He was so petrified at the prospect of fighting Wilder next he completely lost the plot against Ruiz at MSG.
👆🏽 The 3 guys above me have a combined IQ of 23 🥴
You can’t complain about fighters being active Simon. But I do agree that they are taking the route of a ‘seek and destroy’ on Fury opponents to set up the fight between them both.
Say what u want about Joshua.. He shows up.. This fight is no gimme
This fight makes sense. id prefer to see AJ against a Kabayel, or even a mad out of left field fight like Jarred Anderson (think thay would be fun to watch) but fighting Ngannou for mad money while he waits to see where the IBF lands after undisputed is smart.
Ngannou is limited, however impressive he was vs Fury, and AJ seems to be working his way back to being proper confident again. Itll be a fun buildup, all good.
It aint that deep to all you people in the comments, jusg relax and enjoy.
It’s a fight for the casuals but not real boxing fans. AJ vs Bakole, Zhang, Sanchez or Wilder still would have been better
@@badgasaurus4211 for sure but I don't see anything wrong with a fight like this for people who ain't hardcore boxing followers. Plus at least AJ is fighting instead of sitting and waiting like Hrgovic. I barely consider him Vs De Mori as an actual fight that happened.

Totally agree
It is a special case for Ngannou
That does not mean what it is true for Ngannou is true for everyone.

Agreed 💯
fury won .
Fury never had a camp let’s be honest here and love how you all never believe what he says but believe him this time
I'm not boxing expert, I'll say that :) I have watched most of the Francis UFC fights and frankly I was shocked at how different he looked against Fury.
He still is, but father time is not on his side (or Zhang's or Fury's and a few others to be fair.)
I disagree that the Ngannou we saw was a "one trick pony".
An Ngannou stoppage is not a bad bet at 11/2
100 easy ko for ngannou
Haha no not really people was saying wallin was good AJ was just much better and fury is overrated and have vs limited fighters his whole life
Agree 💯 with the original comment ..the kicker is AJ takes a shot..his fragility will come out. Wallin did not even turn up..
Luv the quick thinking technical chat 😃😃
I believe Francis himself is just in it for the money and no matter how well he does the judges will never actually let him win. I think he already knows it as part of his agreement with Saudi.
Wasn't a lot of arguments coming from him considering he was basically robbed of heavyweight boxings greatest ever upset against Fury.
He's being used as a gatekeeper for other fights to happen which is actually a shame because he looks quite handy and if he switched to boxing earlier in his career he could be challenging for world titles organically.
These boxing oldheads don't understand francis has been hit by heavyweights with ufc gloves and never been even hurt, he's not getting KO
Good shout with the Beterbiev Smith prediction there. Proper insight and good reasoning
Is Callum Smith really elite? His best win is one-armed aging Groves before that there were no decent wins. The 1 elite fighter he faught he lost every round. His last 2 fights have been against poor opposition

He’s going to be very surprised when Usyk wins comfortably, as will all of fury’s admirers. It’s funny that since the ngannou fight most people are picking Usyk, prior to that people assumed it was an easy Fichte for fury, absurd. The most overrated heavyweight for decades

Tyson Fury blessing boxing atm.

I want him to do it so I can enjoy the AJ 🥜🫂 meltdowns.

Simon proving he is an AJ hater. He changes his arguments every time to suit whatever he’s saying.
In a few years when AJ, Wilder, Fury and Usyk have all retired, what heavyweight stars will be left? None.
Wat happened to styles make fights
We all know why they make excuses for fury.
@kojokusi8349 exactly. AJ keep taken risk he would lose eventually as he did. Meanwhile Fury picks a notable opponent every 3rd or 4th fight.

Ngannou has a rematch clause with Fury before December which Jordan forgets
lmao no he doesnt
Well said Spencer.
I just noticed that Spencer joined the club of people that gets less grey and less bald the older they get, bless this fortuned man 😄👍
Why should Anthony Joshua be the only person to fight tough fighters while fury handpicked fighters.
Another person who use to get criticised like AJ was Lennox Lewis...So hopefully like him people will at least appreciate AJ once hes retired...We need to see the fights, we can't just say this person beats this person etc etc..And that exact logic is why Wilder was held in such regard...He didnt actually beat anyone elite...And only one or two top tens..His whole persona was built on his fans saying,,, "wilder would destroy Whyte so why should he fight him,,, Wilder would destroy Ruiz so why should he fight him, wilder would destroy Joyce so why should he fight him"... bla bla bla
I think people forget that MMA guys train boxing and throw punches too

There isn't an ounce of humility in Simon. He got outsmarted by Spence many times during this one! He can't concede a point and falls back on "I was just being devil's advocate" after earlier proclaiming that he is not a contrarian for the sake of it. what an arrogant idiiot
Simon is a clown.
The reason why AJ is fighting Ngannou is because Wilder messed up the fight.
He already signed to fight in March for a non title fight.
He was never fighting Hrgovic next.
Spence should do the show with Froch. SJ has no credibility.
55 is Jordan’s boxing IQ
Simon being a bit dense here. Ngannou is a great opportunity for AJ to close the gap on Fury. 6 months ago he'd been written off completely as a live threat to Tyson.
Aj has taken the easiest fight (least risk) for the most cash . Thats all it is.
Cheer up simon mate. You came up off of controversial opinions and speaking you're mind, now you feel you need to play that role 24/7 and just come across as bitter.

AJ needs to go in and make Ngannou look like an amateur. Then carry on fighting pro boxers.
zhang would do a job on parker in my opinion, not to take anything from parkers victory over wilder but wilder was done and has always been there for the taking, Zhang is so accurate, fast and hard hitting and efficient, he will close distance on parker

Regardless of Fury, Usyk. Or Joshua, Nganou, belts no belts. Fury and Joshua need to get it on.
A busy AJ makes light work of most .. 2 fight per year is a no go..
More importantly I definitely learnt something
I think what Simon is missing is that to operate at heavyweight you don’t need to be a great boxer (particularly in this era). Physicality and basic fundamentals will suffice. Ngannou has both along with a top draw mentality. Simon’s dismissal of the man highlights his lack of understanding when it comes to fighting. No amount of pontificating can paper over that.
Ngannou also started off wanting to be a boxer
Simon would make a good promoter, he'd have good banter at press conferences
I actually loved Robbie’s reactionz
Wilder was EXACTLY the same ffs!
Minus landing a right hand,
You've had years to see this!
Spot on!!!
You've obviously never watched a Wilder fight then, he looked absolutely shot to pieces and using odd tactics that he's never tried before. Shot to pieces.
Watch Luis ortiz 1..and every fight there after. Been "shot" ever since!
Give Spencer a chance to speak Simon!
I don't understand the outrage, Joshua's career has been managed fantastically by Eddie and continues to be. He's only been found out against 2 opponents and with his limited talent is a testament to the guy that's made the fights.
100% correct however people get confused AJ is limited and thats why he needs to managed well.
