    As I made multiples this month, I realized the die I used needed a cardstock shim. It us beautiful, Tim Holtz, three wisemen and their camels I didn't check, so spent over 2 hours poking and brushing trying to get out all the little pieces. Thankfully only 20 of this design. Some tore and I'll use them anyway. It won't be noticed by most people. Lesson learned.

    This is a brilliant! I try to donate 300 cards to the USO, do 60 for my church, and if I can, do 35 for my mom's church. I also do 55 Valentine's day, mother's day, and easter for my church. I'd like to do those for mom's too. I do 10 to 15 church birthday cards a month.
    There are several ideas in here that I will be using. Those inked lines that you can reuse, BRILLIANT!!!!! I too am lousy at keeping count. I use a vagabond 2 for die cutting, but I am.now sometimes copying solid images and putting them in my scan n cut for mass production

      @@ardyth I think you are AMAZING at mass producing!
      I enjoy cut and emboss folders. I have one from Spellbinders that works for anytime, and a Christmas tree one from sizzix that I was able to put glossy cardstock that I had alcohol inked behind the tree as kind of a sky. That Christmas tree one went fast! I already had the inked cardstock, and it was cut to fit in the "window", NOT full card panel size. I will look and see if I can find the name of it.
      I'm a HUGE fan of having sentiments on die cuts in containers to grab and use. I use steel rule dies for this. A favorite is the TH Trinket frames. I use the inside not the frame. White or cream scraps usually get cut for this purpose.
      I like using a stamp platform and sitting with sentiments that fit in the size die cuts I have. If its not a trinket frame I like to have a piece that the die was cut out of so I can slide it in the hole. I hope that makes sense. I learned it from RUclips. I also LOVE Taylored Expressions simple strips! This seems like an unneeded extra step, but you don't screw up your cards at that last step.
      If I am doing a background, I usually do the entire 8.5x11 sheet, and then cut it down. I will cut first and try your inking technique with distress or distress oxides.
      I look forward to these monthly videos!!!

      @jesseb5112 4 года назад

      @@ardyth part 2 Sizzix impresslets embossing folder magic of the season. I bought it on sale from Sizzix.com. I used green paper, and as I said before, the alcohol inked paper in the "window " behind the tree. I didn't use the smaller dies. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this for mass production Christmas cards!
      I enjoy playing with alcohol inks, and the silver adds a special touch to the sky. Obviously, you can do whatever you like. I don't always assembly line. Sometimes I simply enjoy creating, and then cut those papers down when it comes time to mass produce. That helps me retain the joy of creating.
