IQ of some photos looks better than others. I agree that compact cameras are fun and creative, and very useful, and some of them have a weather-protected body. 🤗
I must comment. I am not sure how great this camera is? I bought it. However, I am clear that you are an incredible Photographer of the highest order, I do really appreciate your platform. Thank You.
You did a video a little while ago about the ZS3 and I bought one based on your video. I bought it to try my hand at some street photography with something more discreet. I really like this camera! A few months later I bought a second one (in really rough shape) and removed the internal IR filter and converted it into an infrared camera. Easy to do and the results are pretty good. I agree that it's definitely worth a try for the current price! :)
I used 1 new in Uni. Beautiful for their size. & that CCD still looks amazing. I later got the Canon S120 for the low light mini monster of its day still use them both. It’s like having a mini digital Leica in your pocket
A good camera is forever a good camera. A good stereo system is forever a good system ...same goes for watches etc... As long as they are still functioning that is. I think we are many times "Techno Junkies" and just seek another "Fix" ! I do love "Retro Tech" and often find the Best for less$$$! Thanks for the review!
Love your videos and photos. Always good advice. I took up your advice to get the Olympus E-500 and it has become my favorite camera. I have other more expensive cameras but the E-500 is just something special.
I have 2 Samsung digicams with ccd sensors the wb35f and wb150f take fabulous pet and impromptu family pics. My primary camera is an OM-5 but i also have Nikon and Pentx ccd dslrs. Love your channel !
Been thinking about getting one of these to keep with me in my work lunch box. I work construction so I don’t feel comfortable keeping my main camera or my Canon Powershot G9 digicam or even my E-300 in there as I love it them too much and don’t want it to get too dirty in that type of environment. This seems perfect, it’s inexpensive and has a ccd sensor so I know what to expect in terms of colors.
Great pics. I like the juxtiposition in the cat pic, all the stern solid lines, then the cat is just bein' a crazy cat, lol.. Been looking at these leica lens cameras at your recommendation, hope to pick one up soon. Seem great for walkabouts.
Since 1972, when I was in Photography School, the professor would remind the class, put your money in the lens and the photos will take care of themselves...how true, Leica glass is at the top or near the top of the food chain
I’m almost in total agreement with you. Though you might want to look at price points for the newer ZS models. Not “new” like the ZS200, but newer like the ZS25. I picked up two ZS25s for an upcoming trip to Hawaii. A few more megapixels and a better zoom. Thanks to making offers I paid $70 for one and $35 for the other. Just a few more bells and whistles for about the same price. Same Leica glass. Once you hit the ZS35 and newer the price jumps to $100+.
Less than 24-hours after viewing and commenting on your post on the Lumix, I walked into the Local Salvation Army store and picked up a 2011 Panasonic Lumix _ DMC-ZS10 in like just out of the box condition with original case and battery & charger. Beautiful little thing and a great find and what it can do is frankly astounding. 3D captures? Never ever heard of that in any camera. GPS. 1080i Full HD. 24-384mm. Power O.I.S system for shake control even out to 384mm. Individual Facial recognition and tracking. And a whole lot of other features I will likely never use, but two problems. Not A CCD sensor. No RAW files. I'm only out $35.00 so... back on the hunt and back to shooting with my Canon G5, though, it really isn't a pocket camera, or more importantly, a shirt pocket camera like the Lumix DMC's but its form factor and weight are easy to carry on the belt.
excellent video, what would be your recommendation to film my kids in there shows at the school? they are usually a little bit far away 10 to 15 meters away more or less, thanks in advance for your help
I use Auto setting on this wonderful camera...thanks for watching...but remember, "The camera or lens or settings, did not see the location, or subject, it did not see the composition of the photo they created. The photographer did."
Watched your video. Just now returning from the dumpster where I dumped all my too expensive cameras. Now on a quest to acquire a Lumix DMC_ZS3. Wait a minute. Just one problem. I'm not Carmine Taverna. My results might not, will not be the same. Carmine. Did you use any post production on those pics or was it all in camera. Years ago I always carried a similar Panasonic camera and loved it. But I pointed it at the sun and kaput. End of that relationship. Recently I have been trying to find a similar camera and you just pointed me in the right direction... Thx.
Lol..thanks so much for watching my channel...as any artist you need to use all tools available..yes every photo is edited..it's the professional way to create the highest level of photographic art.
Yes it does; The Lumix ZS3 features 10.1-megapixels, a 25mm ultra-wide-angle lens and 12x optical zoom, meaning it has 2x optical zoom to the award-winning TZ-series camera, yet reduced its size. The ZS3 also features a Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens and High Definition (HD) video recording ability, known as AVCHD Lite.
Those are all very nice pictures Carmine!
Thank you very much :)

I bought the ZS3 back when it came out. I still use it today.
Not only I shoot photos, I also took videos of my family doing funny stuff.
That is great news, keep taking photos and thank you for watching my videos :)
I must comment. I am not sure how great this camera is? I bought it. However, I am clear that you are an incredible Photographer of the highest order, I do really appreciate your platform. Thank You.
I love your photos. I also love the fact that I have 300 new videos to discover.
Thank you so much for watching my channel

First let me thank you for watching my video. I totally agree, taking this camera along with you on the job will produce tons of great shots :)

I have this camera and it definitely is the best camera I’ve ever owned!! But it was pretty expensive I have had it for over 15 years
wow...15 years...awesome :)
3:14 and 3:26 these two photos are very beautiful
Thank you so much for your kind words.

If you want to film them on video in school shows, get a new or used Sony HDR-CX405 HD Handycam
@@CarmineTavernaPhotography than you for you recomendation
I have this same camera! What settings are you using to have such great quality?
I use Auto setting on this wonderful camera...thanks for watching...but remember,

OK, I have to ask: what the hell is being 'cut to fit the mouth'??? (at 5:25)
Lol...yep..it's a real sign over the SALT WATER TAFFY SHOP on the Atlantic City BOARDWALK 😆

Yes! I spend way too much time in Photoshop, and my ass doesn't appreciate it, but I enjoy the process. @@CarmineTavernaPhotography

Nice photos. Can it do video?
Yes it does;
The Lumix ZS3 features 10.1-megapixels, a 25mm ultra-wide-angle lens and 12x optical zoom, meaning it has 2x optical zoom to the award-winning TZ-series camera, yet reduced its size. How's the dynamic range on that bad boy? lol
First things first...thank you for watching my channel...ok, the DR, is to me, highly under-rated..I like it :)
