The same intersection is going to be built - it'll just cost Transurban & the people of NSW $110m (I think) more. The Feds asked what the money was for and didn't get much of an answer so they went into penny pinching mode

rightfully so... private infrastructure contractors are holding the state of NSW in a choke hold...

$110m or not, just get the job done anyway. When all these highways are done, spend more money on trains. Build more tracks. I am sure the farmers whose land the rails traverse, will be happy of the money they get.
I'm surprised the airport even got started. They have been talking about it since 1970. I was right for not holding my breath till recently.

Albo spent the dough on the Voice and gave a whole bunch to the Cook Islands.

I’m so confused. Who decided to do this project? Libs or labour?

libs " nationals 😜 " and labor " greens 😜 " are the same ... apparently... its just the definition of party preference and what policies and procedures they place 🙄

@@Kustom2170 Labor has the great progressive ideas, but spend too much money, because the contractors see them coming. Libs have got ideas, not very good ideas, and then still won't even spend money.

Now if you’re in Western Australia Perth region you’re have no problems getting that road completed, The road system over here is fantastic considering ive moved from New South Wales less than a year and a half ago, a lot better road system here.

Well the monies for his trips abroad and big ticket spending had to come from some where. No wonder other nations he visited loved him with that big cheque
    book he took with him.

2:06 regardless of which political party in power the states need to cough up the money... there is no need to seperate and divide... 👋🏽

The old saying is coming true again. Libs know how to build infrastructure projects (just drive around Sydney) Labor know how to stop them going ahead. Review history.

Bullshit. Libs went toll crazy. They were sending the state in massive debt. They were being reckless.

The libs dont know lol they contract the work to private owned companies... unlike medicare 😜

Lets talk about the Airport in Melbourne that hasn't had any public transport for decades... 💭 😮

Have you looked at the infrastructure that's been built in Victoria by a Labour Govt? Could be that your state spent so much pork barrelling there's nothing left to fund the project.

Governments know that this airport will always play second fiddle to Kingsford Smith where most tourists will want to use so funding is being cut from here!

    • @deanpd3402

Just watch these govts stack people into the west. I wouldn't be so sure that this new airport will play second fiddle.

But it will take the pressure off Sydney airport. Passengers eventually won't get a choice..they's be landed where they land. As long as they get to their destination safely, they should be thankful wherever they land.

still doesn't make sense to cut accessibility to the rest of Western Sydney, when it is already difficult to get there.

    • @ronvorbach1464
      @ronvorbach1464 7 месяцев назад +3

Look at long term, airport will be 100 years plus in service. The multi story car parks that will follow will return billion dollar plus profits on their own alone. Future generations will reap the benefits at our expense ,but that is life.

This project is an example of when you virtue signal too far it costs jobs & money! The proof is here for all too see! Nsw gov now needs to foot the bill & cancel some other projects in development!!! Thanks Albo & your failed virtue signalling
