    Thank you for being so professional and not using foul language! Unfortunately, so many others do. Our daughter is 17 and just released her third song and your channel is so helpful to us! Thank you!

    Great video Tom, thank you
    I really liked knowing specific stream numbers and time frame, as well, popularity percentage to strive to in both cases

    Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into these Videos Tom! What I fail to understand here is how to approach these three goals in an actionable way. I was thinking something like:
    1. Get yourself and your existing catalog enough streams (with organic content and ads) to unlock genre tags for each song and your artist profile
    2. Create grouped playlists with yours and other peoples songs with as many matching tags as possible (also matching artists tags to position yourself in a fitting niche)
    3. Once there, link your content and ads to those grouped playlist to grow them
    It might make sense to boost each new release in a separate campaign first, to figure out it's genre tags before adding it to a playlist to not bomb the data.
    What do you think about this?

    I follow a band that has a popularity score of 11% according to your site just get on a Spotify edited playlist for new music, is this common? I always heard you had to have at least 25% popularity score. Thanks for the helpful tips and info, going through your videos lately they're great!!

    Hi Tom, just subscribed! I was wondering if you can trigger the Discover weekly algorithm after a songs initial release?
    Thank you.

      Thanks for the sub! Yes, you can always hit Radio and Discover Weekly, no matter the age of the song. Release Radar is the only one with a timeline.

    So can you get into discover weekly after the first week of the release?

      @tomdupreeiii  Месяц назад +2

      Yep! You can get on Discover Weekly anytime. There's no limit on the age of a song.

    I’m finally starting to reach 2400 streams in the first 28 with my songs to get that Release Radar push, but my audience isn’t big enough to hit 9000 in the first 28 days yet for the Discover Weekly push. In your experience, what kind of streaming numbers and timeframe has triggered Discover Weekly after artists miss the 9k mark in the first 28 days? Is there a way for the song to “redeem itself”?

    • @tomdupreeiii
      @tomdupreeiii  17 дней назад +2

      If you can hit 9kish or more within a 28 day window, you can hit DW no matter the age of a song, so if you're at the 20% mark after the first 28 days and keep pushing, you could conceivably hit DW anytime after that. Keep doubling down on your winners!

    What type of ad campaigns do you use to drive legitimately engaged traffic directly to an artist’s Spotify profile?

    • @tomdupreeiii
      @tomdupreeiii  Месяц назад

      Perfectly timed question. I just did a video on that! Short answer, I prefer conversions when possible, but I keep traffic campaigns in my back pocket and often use those as well: ruclips.net/video/KwWuBOavN-A/видео.html.

    Discover weekly sounds like the place to be, but with 225 monthly listeners on Spotify, don't think I'll be on that playlist anytime soon.

      Keep going and you'll get there. All it takes is one song!

    Beware there's "fake editorial and algorithm" streams now. These streams actually show that they're coming from official Spotify playlist in your analytics even though your song is not on it.

      Yeah, I've seen this. It's a real thing. Still not quite sure how they're pulling it off. Scary times.
