- The build is 60 vigor, 40 mind, 60 endurance, 60 strength, 80 arcane. The weapon is bloodfiend arm with blood affinity, Shield is Fingerprint Shield. Spell is Scarlet Aeonia. I had +12 and +9 for the DLC buffs. Also this is NG+7 so if you’re on base game this strategy should work even better!

Lots of people are asking so here you go, I used the following talismans and spells: crimson seed talisman +1 (increases hp flask effectiveness) haligdrake talisman +2, great shield talisman, pearldrake talisman +3. The build is 60 vigor, 40 mind, 60 endurance, 60 strength, 80 arcane. The weapon is bloodfiend arm, and i have no skill as the ash of war on the shield but you don’t need that. Hope this helps!!!
Is that lvl150 or more? More take stuff off mind and use antspur. Can't beat him for my life lol

when you’re using bleed on him it only takes away like 4% of his health away per proc

@@cityraintunesyou can but you can still do it with your own like every single boss and yes he has problems but there’s also great things about him too
if you also sit there and spam swarm of flies you get more damage off hope this helps
I'm using fingerprint as well but have not had the same luck. I can get him down to 25% hp sometimes, but eventually, he breaks through. I think while you are skilled and this is impressive to beat him on ng+7, you got incredibly lucky with him grabbing your mimic tear which allowed you to rebuff and land that scarlet rot on him again. Even so, thank you for the video and great job beating him!
Update: just beat him. Had to tweak some stuff and respec. Did it with fingerprint, bloody lance (bleed procs), dragon comm seal, golden vow, flame grant me strength, erdtree/haligdrake/dc greatshield/pearldrake talismans.

I was on ng+4 and tried this strategy out. Much of specs were similar, but I died only once with this tactic. Second time, barely survived. Thank you for helping me out. Indirectly, though lol.
Haha, I did it, NG+12, Summon mimic with erdtree heal, dragonrot breath, scarlet aeonia, golden vow, and he has dragon communion seal+10 (though any seal just so he spam casts) you switch to antspur rapier weapon with bleed, with fingerprint shield on both. Then cast eardtree heal to keep your mimic alive a lot and apply scarlet rot. I used the flask with the massive damage reduction 1 off to summon the mimic (otherwise boss 1 shots you when summoning mimic) and the first furnac golem drop which helps with blocking. Then two headed turtle talisman, greatshield talisman, haligdrake talisman+2 and dragoncrest greatshield talisman. This was even easier than the video cause you can attack while blocking but the video was good guidance.

@@TomSelbyGaming honestly this vid was really good cause it showed how to avoid a few skills too, and beat it with a bit of style. Using my method you can block literally everything and unbind the roll key (almost).

When you basically NEED to respec into a certain build to kill a boss I feel that just takes the fun out of the game, I like a challenge and breezed through the DLC (Messmer took me like 20 tries and that was the most a boss took me) but this boss is fucking insane, not even for the difficulty of the boss itself but also the fact that you NEED to have around 16-20 scadutree blessing in order to not get 2 shot. Im currently lvl 17 and I dont know where the fragments that i need are, I can see alot of players just giving up when this much is required to kill a boss.
I only had 12 when I beat him with this strategy, you just gotta build to play vs him. You don’t even need to respec all you need is 35 faith for the rot spell and a shield that can deflect 100% physical

What were they thinking when they made this boss? Oh i know they werent thinking at all.
They thought this was Armored Core 6 and then didn't bother to playtest the boss
I managed to beat every dlc boss after 2-3 tries (still stuck on Radahn) some of them really do feel unfair at times, but somewhat doable, Radahn is just bullshit. You know there is something wrong where in game with 300+ weapons and 100+ spells only 2 builds that kill him are Shield Bleed poke, or Lifesteal LionClaw Giant Hammer spam.
From Soft obviously need to let go of old DS mechanics and give us more options, either a) remove equip load and give us dash (like how BloodBorne did it) or b) let us fight like it's Sekiro. Many dlc bosses feel like they should've been in Sekiro and not slow DS type game.
Try using scholars shield spell on the fingerprint shield, and use the new stamina talisman paired with the great shield talisman, you should never get your stance broken with those. Plus there is a new holy damage resistance talisman golden braid which you should use too. All that together and this strategy should be unbeatable.
@@TomSelbyGaming Oh yea I did it yesterday, I used Black Steel Greatshield, Blood tax Lance and Scarlet Aeonia, my phys res was around 80% and holy 75%, I managed to do it, I just didn't feel great or happy about it, idk my character is Faith caster and I did whole dlc with mix and match of melee/incants, but Radahn just doesn't let you cast anything :/

Same as you. NG+7 level 713 with 20/10 blessings and I just spend the whole second phase being combo to death

It appears to be Scarlet Aeonia which you get from malania. and honestly. Its kinda fitting to use it in this fight

It allows you to do an ash of war on your right hand, I have lions claw on mine but I didn’t need to use it

I’m not sure what he used but I beat this boss first try with the exact same build. The talisman I used were Pearldrake Talisman +2, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Green turtle Talisman, and Greatshield Talisman. For the wondrous Physick I had Greenspill crystal tear and Opaline hard tear

I’m not sure what weapon he’s using but I just used a great katana with bleed on it. As long as you have any bleed weapon it doesn’t really matter since it only procs once in this battle
