I'm an old school mum so I guess I don't mind sucking snott and spitting it our if it means my baby can breathe. I bought both expresses... For boobies Milk. It was OK. I suppose.... The machines are helpful when you're tired. Hwoeveer I exclusively breast fed till 8 months... I reckon buy as you go babe. Diapers. Every baby is different. I don't use Huggies as they five my baby rashes. I use baby love or mamia from aldi... Hope that helps :)

I got a travel changing pad from Amazon that we keep in our diaper caddy. What we do is place a flannel receiving blanket. We have so many and they're cheap. Just fold length wise and then toss in the wash.
I've had no leaks and I have lines on the ones I buy. We actually love these diapers compared to everything else we've tried. Huggies special delivery has been our worst experience
Always make sure you don't buy a bunch of Newborn sizes. Newborn size generally cuts out around 8lbs. Buy a few Newborn sizes, but generally go with 0-3 months (I usually wait until the last month because my first was a premie, my second was out of Newborn clothes within 2 weeks).
Yessss i didn't like honest diapers either!!!! They aren't very good. I have 3 kids (14, 7 and 15 months) and I've always used pampers..also frida baby snot sucker is amazing..I also never used those wraps lol
I'm due in March and honestly got all big things second hand saved hundreds and hundreds got a three in one travel system for like £25 when it was £300 a massive bag of baby clothes that would have cost around £200-£300 for £15 all on Facebook marketplace and they are of course in good condition some even brand new. People just go so crazy when buying clothes for children and you should make use of it because most people would just be trying to get rid of it.
Girl, we just bought the onesies where the arm piece flips over their hand if they want to put their hands by their face. Those gloves are so tiny they can get lost so quickly. And babies dont keep socks on, my son always kicked them off. So we buy the pants with built in feet or a sleeper. I feel the same as you. you think you need so much and really they dont require much
I regret all my hello bello diapers. They have the line but I just like huggies diapers and water wipes. We have a pack of Velcro swaddles we can use cause he sticks his hand through them. Maybe cause my baby is so much smaller, 10.5 weeks and weighs just under 10lb, but I love my boppy. I have two and my husband and my dog sleep on them occasionally.

Its like a babyshop basically (i live in south africa and our places like Baby City or Babier R ua etc) have registeries i know places like walmart and target also have and Amazon.... But its a list you create basically for your babyshower and then you have a code with thay code people can log on see what you want and go and buy what you want for your baby and if you for example has a Set Nuk bottels on the list and someine buys that the item gets removed from the list so people dont buy double unless you marked you want 2 items
I felt so unprepared when having my baby because I didn’t have most of the things on all the internet lists, but honestly, tiny kiddos don’t need that much. Sometimes it’s better to feel out the relationship and the baby before buying a lot of the stuff for babies.

All you really need is a safe place to sleep, stuff for hygiene/health, diapers/wipes, clothes, a car seat/stroller, and bottles and formula if your not breastfeeding. Everything else are just things that either are really helpful(but not needed), or a big fat waste of money.

The only thing we really needed was his pack and play that came with a bouncer that he pretty much lived in for the first 9 months of life lol

If you can afford it and you want it, get it. To each their own. We were dirt poor growing up so my parents just had the basics but some of the things I’m putting on my registry now, my mom says she wishes she had for her own peace of mind.

The boppy is great when a baby want to sit and can hold there bottle themselves. Love that you just breast feed on camera and kept going. Mommy multi tasker
The mittens may depend on your baby. Mine scratches her face ALL the time, from birth. I had to send my husband to get a nail file while I was in the hospital! I constantly keep her hands covered to keep her sweet face clear of scratches. Those clothes with sleeve work best, but socks also work really well. Also, I constantly have my baby in socks - her feet get soooo cold. Baby shoes, however, are pretty pointless.
See buggies is a big no no brand in Australia as a lot of babies get bad rashes from them like news worthy unfortunately... thank you nappies are some of my favourite and water wipes for babie wipes 👌
My babe got rashes from honest diapers too...not as bad as Pampers pure which were obcs toxic garbage, but still rashes. Bamboo nature brand has been reliablly pure and has never given her a rash, horray!
Please at least try the Babybjorn bouncer! At 3 months my daughter was obsessed! Now she bounces herself (which is amazing motor skills its designed for!) and i can bring everywhere around the house or to grandmas house, park etc! Also they can use until they are about 2 years old!!!! Ugh love
Completely agree with the mittens and socks. They always fall off and get lost. I’m currently pregnant with my 4th and I’m due the day before Halloween 🎃 I’ve just been buying baby girl the zip up footie jammies with fold over mittens since it’ll be cold out. Life savers 🙌🏼
I absolutely LOVE my bottle warmer. I use it all day everyday.. it warms the bottle so fast, even with my milk in it... Putting the bottle in the cup does not heat it up nearly fast enough especially when my milk has to come out of the fridge. Other than that, totally agree!
When baby's awake and crying for milk in the middle of the night, you don't wanna wait 10 or more minutes for that bottle to warm up in a mug. I LOVE my bottle warmer that heats up the bottle in less than 2 minutes. Way less crying for baby and less stress for mama.

But as a baby we spent many nights washing it in the sink when she got sick all over it or spilled on it. She still refuses to sleep without it. I’m 36 weeks pregnant with our son and we already have 4 of them same blanket so we just change it out and he has no idea 😂
This ended up being my thought, it's a better investment with better resale value. Or just save the money entirely and use literally any other backpack/large purse you already have. A slim gathre mat is the largest thing you need to be able to fit, and in a pinch you don't even need that! Just diapers, travel tub of diaper cream, wipes, back up onesie.
that diaper bag is everywhere, and honestly.......is.......atrocious! It kinda looks ok straight on photos, but once is stuffed and put on, I honestly think it looks like a bucket on your back. The bag also gives me the impression of being like some soft leather bags I've had before, and those babies don't do well with daily use, let alone the amount of handling a diaper bag must withstand.

I never thought I would want a camera monitor but I honestly want one so bad now! Lol BUT I’ve also heard the ones that connect to phones / Other devices are easier for people to hack and watch/talk to your children and that creeps me out!! 🙈😬
I got a camera monitor for our second (just a regular, not a wifi or anything) and it is so much better! I wish we had it for our first. Go for the camera monitor!
We use a security camera that is set up that you can only look at it through a secure app and only if you are on a certain encrypted server my husband set up. (It helps that he is a software engineer lol). We just use an old tablet we had laying around for normal monitoring, but can also pull it up on our phones too. Plus it was way cheaper than most baby monitors on the market.

I think everyone is different . Everyone who does these should be ,what didn’t work for me . The oogiebear I use in par with qtip , it’s only when you see one little booger not snot. I have both lol .
3 years later after having my daughter and I can literally agree with all BUT solly baby gown - our daughter loved in it and her legs were super long so tied gown provided enough room for her. And camera - we have Cubo Ai and use it till today. It helped ease anxiety, back track when my daughter climbed out of her crib and didn't have to constantly think about recharging it. Notifications were great too. For recommendations - they have 2 in 1 wifi and wifi free monitors with dual use at Amazon that I would highly recommend!
The boppy isn't just for breastfeeding though. I'm not feeding that way but have always worked daycare and nannied and we use the boppy for support for tummy time, sitting up, for me when i get a back massage so i can put my face through it at home. It's really multifunctional and a great cost! And you'll use it for like 2 years.
I was so confused when I realized there was no color changing line?! I had her in the avocado print, and I was like wait.....do the avocados turn brown when dirty? lol (spoiler they do not, but should)
I was gifted honest diapers and just opened the pack after 11w using pampers. I immediately noticed there was no wetness indicator line. What the heck. I am very much a function over fashion mom and it completely blew my mind that the stupid little line was not included. I'm glad its a small pack of diapers lol.

I LOVE the oogiebear & haven’t used the nosefrida once (baby is almost 9 mos old). It never ceases to amaze me how ppl can have such differing opinions. But it doesn’t surprise me because not only are parents different (have different preferences, etc), but babies are different too! I love when parents say “oh this worked on my first, but not me second.” It’s so crazy

If you have an old phone you’re not using, use it as a baby “monitor!” We were given a Nest camera, but preferred to have a separate device for our monitor and this has worked well for us. We put a popsocket on the back to use as a stand and the old phone just connects to the Nest via wifi et voila!
I'm someone that hates clutter. When I was trying to organize my son's closet I counted every baby blanket/recieving blanket that we have for him... 27 blankets. 98% were gifted to us. Now I'm pregnant with our second boy and I'm trying to gently let people know we don't want any blankets but my husband's grandma is like 'well he needs his OWN blankets. I'm not missing out on making a great grand baby blanket!' Smh

You do not need a snoo. You need to learn about baby sleep and the wonder weeks, etc. It's better that baby isn't dependent on something they'll outgrow in 3 months
My breast friend is wonderful, my lactation nurse told me about it and I love my gathre mat . If you are looking for a great baby bag I recommend the Itzy Ritzy bag.
More of a PSA: The BabyBjörn is fine for the spine and hips, especially in the lowest position. My baby sat in it from around 5 weeks (basically once his head was fairly stable). I'm not sure about the Graco swing. But that's just a thing to be aware of. I also personally prefer it because my baby will eventually learn to bounce himself instead of relying on the mechanism. Also, you can get them used for way less than 200 dollars and you can resell it for as much as you bought it for if it's in an acceptable condition :)

I love the diaper changer Mat! I use my diaper bag as a purse too so if hubby wants to change the beeb he can take the mat and have everything is with it and doesn’t have to take the whole bag
Exactly!!!! I LOVE my skiphop changing mat... It buy it for every person I know having a baby. Who wants to carry their whole diaper bag everywhere they go? And like you said, than your partner can just take the little diaper changer instead of taking your whole bag to the restroom. Especially because kids are in diapers well past the age of being diaper bag dependant, so sometimes you just bring the little diaper changer into the store with you for a quick run, or to the neighbor's house and don't need to lug the whole bag!
Only thing is about frida baby snot sucker is that the sucker does not fit in my newborn's nose. I needed it one time in an emergency and found out the hard way it was useless!

J they don’t have the color changing line but I personally don’t think it’s necessary. Cool feature for sure but once you get used to it, you can feel when your baby has a wet diaper.
The fawn diaper bag was the gift to myself and I love that it’s big! I feel like I’m getting my money’s worth. My mom also loves it so trips to Gigi’s will keep her stylish too! I don’t pack light so I’m still happy with the purchase lol

You may end up liking the boppy pillow in the future. I use mine behind my daughter when she was learning how to sit up. It kept her from hitting her head when she fell backwards. Later she used it when she watched TV.
I remember someone trying to convince me to buy that bouncer. The price immediately turned me away from it and she kept saying "oh no it's really worth it better then any other bouncer ect" I ignored her and used my second hand brightstarts bouncer that i baught for £5 with no regrets as it works fine.
I love my boppy pillow and use it every day all day haha BUT ive never used the my breast friend one before. Anyway, I love hearing other moms talking about what they like and dont like. Love your sweatshirt and uggs btw.

My son wouldn’t wear beanies. Anytime we put one on his head he got upset and when he was a little older he took them off and even now he won’t wear hats. At first I felt bad about the baby swing a family friend gifted me for my son because I hardly ever used it when he was a baby but now my son really likes playing with it and chilling in his baby swing 😅

I didn’t buy a diaper bag... I ended up using a horrible purse my husband gifted to me in Christmas 2015 and it’s all good... He even got emotional because I told him that I was saving it brand new to carry our baby stuff when In reality I hated it 😂

The mittens may depend on your baby. Mine scratches her face ALL the time, from birth. I had to send my husband to get a nail file while I was in the hospital! I constantly keep her hands covered to keep her sweet face clear of scratches. Those clothes with sleeve work best, but socks also work really well. Also, I constantly have my baby in socks - her feet get soooo cold. Baby shoes, however, are pretty pointless.
Omg yes honest also made my babys get the worst rash!
See buggies is a big no no brand in Australia as a lot of babies get bad rashes from them like news worthy unfortunately... thank you nappies are some of my favourite and water wipes for babie wipes 👌

Please at least try the Babybjorn bouncer! At 3 months my daughter was obsessed! Now she bounces herself (which is amazing motor skills its designed for!) and i can bring everywhere around the house or to grandmas house, park etc! Also they can use until they are about 2 years old!!!! Ugh love
Completely agree with the mittens and socks. They always fall off and get lost. I’m currently pregnant with my 4th and I’m due the day before Halloween 🎃 I’ve just been buying baby girl the zip up footie jammies with fold over mittens since it’ll be cold out. Life savers 🙌🏼

I absolutely LOVE my bottle warmer. I use it all day everyday.. it warms the bottle so fast, even with my milk in it...
Putting the bottle in the cup does not heat it up nearly fast enough especially when my milk has to come out of the fridge.

Had the same thought. It gets thr milk to the right temp for the 👶. I use Dr Browns warmer., it's been great.
I love my bottle warmer too! Use it every day , my husband and mom use it to warm my expressed breast milk to feed baby while I sleep.
When baby's awake and crying for milk in the middle of the night, you don't wanna wait 10 or more minutes for that bottle to warm up in a mug. I LOVE my bottle warmer that heats up the bottle in less than 2 minutes. Way less crying for baby and less stress for mama.
I’m planning to raise our baby the good old minimalist way while my partner is fussing over whether or not the baby gets the best support and nuture. All of those things you listed on the list is basically in our registry right now. I’ll make sure my partner watch this video 😂

Boppy isn’t used for feeding in my house it’s used for tummy time and propping now that he’s old enough.
That's why I went with boppy, my breast friend is much better for just breastfeeding but that's it, and I'm still using boppy after 2 years. I also have travel inflatable my breast friend pillow

Boppy is still used by my 3 and 5 yo to lounge on but the mybrestfriend is definitely better for breast feeding.

But as a baby we spent many nights washing it in the sink when she got sick all over it or spilled on it. She still refuses to sleep without it. I’m 36 weeks pregnant with our son and we already have 4 of them same blanket so we just change it out and he has no idea 😂

This ended up being my thought, it's a better investment with better resale value. Or just save the money entirely and use literally any other backpack/large purse you already have. A slim gathre mat is the largest thing you need to be able to fit, and in a pinch you don't even need that! Just diapers, travel tub of diaper cream, wipes, back up onesie.
that diaper bag is everywhere, and honestly.......is.......atrocious! It kinda looks ok straight on photos, but once is stuffed and put on, I honestly think it looks like a bucket on your back.
The bag also gives me the impression of being like some soft leather bags I've had before, and those babies don't do well with daily use, let alone the amount of handling a diaper bag must withstand.
I got the “mini” of this bag and it’s perfect size and half the price. So glad she brought this up 🙌🏽

I never thought I would want a camera monitor but I honestly want one so bad now! Lol BUT I’ve also heard the ones that connect to phones / Other devices are easier for people to hack and watch/talk to your children and that creeps me out!! 🙈😬

I got a camera monitor for our second (just a regular, not a wifi or anything) and it is so much better! I wish we had it for our first. Go for the camera monitor!
We use a security camera that is set up that you can only look at it through a secure app and only if you are on a certain encrypted server my husband set up. (It helps that he is a software engineer lol). We just use an old tablet we had laying around for normal monitoring, but can also pull it up on our phones too. Plus it was way cheaper than most baby monitors on the market.
Thoroughly enjoyed! I adore the honesty you offered when it comes to pricing vs aesthetic. As a newish mom I purchased based on looks but soon learn that babies grow fast and more than likely you use items twice. So, thank you girlee!

3 years later after having my daughter and I can literally agree with all BUT solly baby gown - our daughter loved in it and her legs were super long so tied gown provided enough room for her.
And camera - we have Cubo Ai and use it till today. It helped ease anxiety, back track when my daughter climbed out of her crib and didn't have to constantly think about recharging it. Notifications were great too. For recommendations - they have 2 in 1 wifi and wifi free monitors with dual use at Amazon that I would highly recommend!

The boppy isn't just for breastfeeding though. I'm not feeding that way but have always worked daycare and nannied and we use the boppy for support for tummy time, sitting up, for me when i get a back massage so i can put my face through it at home. It's really multifunctional and a great cost! And you'll use it for like 2 years.

I was gifted honest diapers and just opened the pack after 11w using pampers. I immediately noticed there was no wetness indicator line. What the heck. I am very much a function over fashion mom and it completely blew my mind that the stupid little line was not included. I'm glad its a small pack of diapers lol.
I used honest diapers. And son got rashes with them. I used pampers instead.

I LOVE the oogiebear & haven’t used the nosefrida once (baby is almost 9 mos old). It never ceases to amaze me how ppl can have such differing opinions. But it doesn’t surprise me because not only are parents different (have different preferences, etc), but babies are different too! I love when parents say “oh this worked on my first, but not me second.” It’s so crazy

It’s recommended in colder countries to have socks for your baby. In my country you have to use socks as well as footed body suits or booties
If you have an old phone you’re not using, use it as a baby “monitor!” We were given a Nest camera, but preferred to have a separate device for our monitor and this has worked well for us. We put a popsocket on the back to use as a stand and the old phone just connects to the Nest via wifi et voila!

I'm someone that hates clutter. When I was trying to organize my son's closet I counted every baby blanket/recieving blanket that we have for him... 27 blankets. 98% were gifted to us. Now I'm pregnant with our second boy and I'm trying to gently let people know we don't want any blankets but my husband's grandma is like 'well he needs his OWN blankets. I'm not missing out on making a great grand baby blanket!' Smh

More of a PSA: The BabyBjörn is fine for the spine and hips, especially in the lowest position. My baby sat in it from around 5 weeks (basically once his head was fairly stable). I'm not sure about the Graco swing. But that's just a thing to be aware of.
I also personally prefer it because my baby will eventually learn to bounce himself instead of relying on the mechanism.
Also, you can get them used for way less than 200 dollars and you can resell it for as much as you bought it for if it's in an acceptable condition :)

I love the diaper changer Mat! I use my diaper bag as a purse too so if hubby wants to change the beeb he can take the mat and have everything is with it and doesn’t have to take the whole bag
Exactly!!!! I LOVE my skiphop changing mat... It buy it for every person I know having a baby. Who wants to carry their whole diaper bag everywhere they go? And like you said, than your partner can just take the little diaper changer instead of taking your whole bag to the restroom. Especially because kids are in diapers well past the age of being diaper bag dependant, so sometimes you just bring the little diaper changer into the store with you for a quick run, or to the neighbor's house and don't need to lug the whole bag!
Only thing is about frida baby snot sucker is that the sucker does not fit in my newborn's nose. I needed it one time in an emergency and found out the hard way it was useless!

J they don’t have the color changing line but I personally don’t think it’s necessary. Cool feature for sure but once you get used to it, you can feel when your baby has a wet diaper.

You may end up liking the boppy pillow in the future. I use mine behind my daughter when she was learning how to sit up. It kept her from hitting her head when she fell backwards. Later she used it when she watched TV.

I disagree about the nanit. They have the background sound so you can hear it the whole time while using your other apps.
I remember someone trying to convince me to buy that bouncer. The price immediately turned me away from it and she kept saying "oh no it's really worth it better then any other bouncer ect"
I ignored her and used my second hand brightstarts bouncer that i baught for £5 with no regrets as it works fine.

My son wouldn’t wear beanies. Anytime we put one on his head he got upset and when he was a little older he took them off and even now he won’t wear hats.
At first I felt bad about the baby swing a family friend gifted me for my son because I hardly ever used it when he was a baby but now my son really likes playing with it and chilling in his baby swing 😅
