Hello every i trust you have all had a splendid week, maybe even got out on some adventures, in this weeks video i am going to take you on a little journey to see what is potentially the oldest living thing i hope you enjoy this adventure, and thanks again for tuning in i appreciate all 16 thousand of you 😲
got onto your channel maybe a week or two ago and really been enjoying the content and its clear the video quality and production has came along way mate. keep at it and im sure youll keep growing, who doesnt love adventure aeh. just wish i had the same get up and go determination like yourself, ive loved riding my bike the last 5-6 years and recently got a fresh 29er so looking to get into the more lengthy overnighters and distance explorations, thanks for inspiring me to take the leap, this video was especially sweet man this is what bikepacking is all about. thanks
You have a unique way of talking and bringing your thoughts to words… that makes me feel cozy and happy every time I watch one of your videos 😊 truly an amazing gift, congrats!
Brilliant Josh Loved this. Amazing filming/scenery. This tree is in Neil Oliver's Britain in 100 places and described as Europe's oldest living thing . Thanks for making this film, I really enjoyed it👍
As a 65 YO cyclist, actually just getting back into cycling after being a committed commuter, joyrider, and bike packer in my youth, I find your content inspiring and relaxing, I love your style from the camera work and narration, to the music. The one thing I would like some more info on is your bike and setup. Some particular areas of interest are gadgets and charging, how your bike is geared, any non standard kit like pedals, bags, clothing, and camping gear. Thanks for all great content!
This one really resonates with me as in my youth a mate and I cycled alongside a river in the Olympic National Park in Washington state USA, forded the river on foot and hiked to the largest Douglas Fir and I believe the largest western Hemlock tree in the world. Well done you!
Hi Josh, I’ve never commented on a RUclips video before but your work just keeps getting better! Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful adventures with us all. 😊
I've just viewed this for the second time, and I have to agree with the other comments here that this is close to, or possibly the best video you've made. It gives me joy to watch this, a great story, exquisite drone footage, beautiful soundtrack, and that old yew tree.... well, the oldest tree I've visited is a 3,000 year -old Huon Pine in S.W. Tasmania, and that was something! A 5,000 year-old tree - how wonderful and special! 👍🙂🇦🇺
Stunning mate, you captured some amazing footage. This has to be in the top 5 of your videos. 👏 Congrats on 16k subs. You deserve so many more. Keep smiling, enjoy the adventure.. peace 👊
I agree this is way up as one of the best - superb conditions for getting the drone. With Scotland you can often do no wrong whichever you point the camera!
Hope you're feeling better now. We all have bad days, men get trouble too if we're not well stacked. Look on the bright side people are generally nicer to ladies😃
The edits keep getting better with the narrative and cinematic drone shots. Cant see how this would not inspire anyone with a tent and bike to try bikepacking trips. I had to stop bikepacking as my wrists got messed up so i had a break , just got some SQlabs inner bar ends and managed 50 miles today. Same handlebars as Josh's only now it feels like i can ride on the hoods for extra comfort. Already thinking of rides in Kernow this spring 🙂🤙
Stunning what glorious weather! I visited Kenmore (possibiy 2018) and rode Mount Kenmore.. man I wish I had know about this tree. That was quite something. Thanks again for another wonderful video.
On my adventures today my gear shift lever broke so i am halted for the time being. At least i have your adventures to get me through. Great video as always. I am super jealous but hope you enjoy what you do and continue to do it for our enjoyment.
Another epic adventure Josh. I wish I could do a bike pack like that. I fell off my bike a couple of weeks ago and broke some ribs, I've just started to get some back pain so it could be a while before I can ride any distance again. I'll have to make do watching you instead!
Thanks for sharing your adventure, Josh! Are you still riding your Beyond+ ADV with modified wheelset? If so, how are you liking your setup? Have you changed anything since your review almost a year ago?
Nice trip Josh, well done on 16K you deserve a lot more IMO. I notice you have swapped the Jones bars out for what looks like Sonders possibly, why was this? Cheers. 👍
Yeah they are the sonder confucius (think thats what they called) i just fancied testing a more traditional bar out really and had a voucher for alpkit so just thought id test them Out for a bit. Still have the jones though
This doesn’t sound right to me; I think Methuselah in the Sierra Nevada is reckoned to be the oldest living tree, and that’s definitely under 5000 years old.

Fingers crossed you are reaching RUclips critical mass and subscriber numbers will explode. Fantastic content and hard yakka up to this point 👍🤞
I appreciate you too Josh. X

as a man with joints as old as that tree who fights to cycle the free countryside spend your prime well as you do roaming far afield

Josh thanks for taking us along on this ride with you. The filming was truly beautiful and I was glad to see you have good weather if a little cold.

Great story telling. Thank you.
And a lovely gnarly ancient yew, it is!
Stunning mate, you captured some amazing footage. This has to be in the top 5 of your videos. 👏

Thanks mate, that frosty morning up high was just something else absolutely stunning.
Old school outro :D

Beautiful.
What a beautiful pedal josh.. Love Scotland to my heart❤thanks for the footage my friend 😉👌❤️🇬🇧
Wonderful drone shots. Fantastic tree. You should check the yew out at Stoke Gabriel in Devon. Keep up the good work.
Wow, spot on camp spot 2nd night dude!!!
That was beautiful man! That single track at 9:00 🤩The dream! Hope I get to visit Scotland one day! Really enjoying your videos, well done!
Very fine trip!
Excellent Josh. Can’t believe you hiked up and over from Tillicoultry. Some great sections on that route and amazing views from your camp spot.
Really nice this one Josh, really nice 😁👍🏼
Fantastic
Hope you're feeling better now.
We all have bad days, men get trouble too if we're not well stacked.
Look on the bright side people are generally nicer to ladies😃
Stunning video, loved it!
Beautiful as always 🌳🍁❄️
What an higgledy-piggledy tree that is. Nice to see though. Cheers.

Great. Thank you for sharing. Try the yew tree at Llangernyw in N Wales, reputedly, we’ll, they all are, the oldest tree … another churchyard tree.
If you like riding to see old trees, there's a really old one in North Wales. I'm sure you can make a good route to see it 😊👌🏽
Great idea for a ride out, that tree is incredible, so well presented and put together josh, cheers.
Glad you enjoyed it :D
Very nice, in all ways. Cheers.
Stunning what glorious weather! I visited Kenmore (possibiy 2018) and rode Mount Kenmore.. man I wish I had know about this tree. That was quite something. Thanks again for another wonderful video.
Superb

Doh 😣 that's annoying, hopefully wont take long to get it fixed and back on the trails again

ahh damn man that sucks, i really hope you manage to heal up fast so you can get back in the saddle.

Out for a bit. Still have the jones though
@@KeepSmilingAdventures I've converted my mtb bikepacker to Jones bars a couple of months ago and really liking them.
What sleeping bag are you using for winter mate?
alpkit pipedream 400
#moved 😉👌🖤
This doesn’t sound right to me; I think Methuselah in the Sierra Nevada is reckoned to be the oldest living tree, and that’s definitely under 5000 years old.
Whay did you change a bar from Jones?
just trying something different
So out of interest, what is the best bike for bike packing
?
The bike you currently own
