I know that you mentioned positive things about Mina, but using the word ‘never’ seems slightly rude. I’m not exactly a once, but I’ve seen dance duets with both Momo and Mina. But she has done ballet, for 11 years- she is perfectly capable of achieving those certain things that you have mentioned.
@@sana-jjangminatozaki8315 Momo and Mina does have different techniques when it comes to dancing, Momo's dancing is power and clean while Mina's dancing is graceful and very well executed. I don't remember that Mina ever making mistakes while dancing or forgetting movements. Don't be so rude. People see her as the main dancer with Momo. Otherwise, why would we write and remind jyp about that? Practically, in all the covers that Twice did, she is always present on the stage, just like Momo. And she does it perfectly

I’ve always said that Mina would make a perfect SM style dancer. Her crisp and clean dance moves have always screamed SM for me.

When people say that Jihyo overdances often, I laugh. Not because they're wrong, but because me and Jihyo have the same habit. She is REALLY an energy-based dancer and I commend her for that. You must have great stamina to dance the whole song in 100% or even bigger. I look up to her so much and her passion in performing. Even idols who are good dancers can't keep up sometimes because they tend to lose energy or they don't have much stamina.
Yeah same I dance with a lot of energy its not a bad thing it means you have a lot of energy but sometimes is not really good to put too much energy into dancing beacuse u can overdance and this doesnt look really good Jihyo is an amazing dancer but she sometimes really overdance its not like that's a bad thing but i dont think it's a good thing either TWICE has a lot of dances which she can get tired easy!(sorry for replying to you if it bothers you and sorry for my bad english)

Yea I think it’s because it’s difficult to judge over and under dancing with a group. Because when others with less energy make the moves look clean and simple. Those with more energy are over dancing. But not everyone is gonna put the same amount of energy it’s just about what amount of energy that makes it look better yk

i hate when people say mina doesn’t deserve to be a main dancer. she is absolutely amazing and 100% deserves it
as a dancer myself, I can tell she's a great idol dancer . She obviously deserves her place as main dancer since no one is better than her in twice exept momo. She has a great technique and lower areas control. Her torso movements are pretty good to, but when it comes to more hip-hop ish dance style or freestyle , she's never shown outstanding dances. Maybe she's shy to show more but yeah ur right she 100% deserves her lead dancer position.
Mohammed Laghmari she doesn’t have a lead dancer position to deserve cuz she’s a main. And she is an idol, she would prob be main dancer in every other group. But I agree as a dancer she not the best, solid 7.5 but as an idol she’s a ten

The thing that i realize. Jihyo and rose has the same point(7.7 at "great tier"). And they are main vocal in their group. Okay main vocal is not only great at singing but dancing as well

fun fact: sana was in the dance line back in 2015-2017 then the positions changed and they added nayeon and tzuyu for some reason.

As a once, I never really appreciated Dahyun's dancing much. After watching her fancams I realized she has surprisingly good control and fluidity in her dancing and she tends to get overshadowed by other members' powerful dancing considering twice are great dancers.
also, the fact that tzuyu has to work harder in order to make herself look shorter in their performances makes it more difficult for her to execute moves perfectly, It’s like she has to sacrifice a good portion of her skills to keep the group synchronisation

@FreakLEL Jihyo and Sana both have no dance position yet is ranked higher than some Twice members with dance positions in this list haha I think I've read it somewhere that JYP bases his dance positions according to how well or fast they can memorize the choreography.

umm can we just appreciate the cleanliness on jeongyeons so called "overdancing", because as a dancer myself i am really impressed on how she controlled it without looking like a try hard
Yea I agree, she is much better than I thought! It’s just the overdancing comes in when she gets her random bursts of energy. Like in feel special during the rap part she overdance and lacked control. But that’s what really makes an over dancer an “overdancer” if you lack control over your limbs you will get the result in overdancing a lot; I’m not saying that’s always the case but it’s noticeable.

I've watched too many dance evaluations/ analyzations and such and they always rank Sana a 6 or lower. :(

Cuz the people that are ranking her aren't dancer. So if you see Sana or Jihyo on the 5th below spot you should expect that they aren't dancers

@@jhalaksahay Tzuyu is after Sana and Jihyo, no doubt about that. At least just for now, I believe she just has shown like 1/3 of her skills bc she's still a little young.
She isn’t underrated literally every comment always says how she should be in the dance line
With Tzuyu, I feel like her underdancing and bad angles are mainly because of her long limbs and general height - JYP is extremely strict on their synchronisation (keeping in mind that Twice are pretty short-average height) and it's like she'd rather sacrifice her own dancing for the sake of not ruining the whole groups formation and image as they dance (which is why she's always bending her knees and has her arms fully stretched in one move only to have them restricted in the next) When they cover Me Gustas Tu she was one of the best in that performance imo because Gfriend's choreos are tailored to taller dancers and have lots of moves where she can stretch her legs and have high energy without the whole group looking off. I'd love to see her do a solo dance with a choreo for a tall dancer so people can truly see her potential.

im a tall dancer just like her. just a tip, if you are a tall dancer (especially long legged one) you should extend your arms more and legs because if you dont, your dancing will look awkward and bad :) and by extend also i mean bigger moves. Look at Lisa as an example 😉

I think sana not a sharp dancer type , but fluidity bc almost all her movement is in concept of fluidity don't get me wrong I'm dancer first of all. But I think her sharp movements not powerful as others 4 members like momo, mina, Tzuyu, and nayeon

I think the reason why tzuyu is stiff is because she dances with her knees bent which is really hard, as a dancer I’m telling you it’s not an easy job it’s really tiring, tzuyu has to stop bending cause it’s not good for the knees
Edit: I know tzuyu is tall that’s why she bends her knees (so she could match up with her members) what other reason is there

This is very true. If you watch her fancam of her collab stage with seolhyun ‘Do you’. You can see that she dances way more comfortable because seolhyun is also tall. Very sad that she is forced to hold back because of her height

As far as I remember, she used to be a lead dancer and then was booted out of the position for Nayeon when the lineup changed. I still think that J-Line should be the dance line (+Jihyo), but JYP exists.

@@ia8343 In my opinion as a dancer, Jihyo has great energy, but he usually over dances, also, her technique isn't that good as Sana's technique, but people usually think Jihyo is a better dancer than Sana because of her stage presence and charisma
I think Mina's biggest weakness is just her facials, not even energy tbh. She's such a good dancer, she just looks unhappy and like she doesn't want to be there. Probably why I like jihyo fancams the best 😅😅 worse technically, but her expressions make her way more fun to watch for me personally

That is true but I think she has improved in facial expression after dealing with her anxiety and getting some proper rest. She's louder now, she smiles and she talks more often in shows.
i disagree. i respect your opinion but most of the mina fancams ive watched, mina is great with facial expressions, she knows how to use it very well when it comes to her part. it was her extreme anxiety that overtook her before, so dont say that she looks like she didnt want to be there. most importantly, im so glad mina is happier. mina deserves to have her main dancer position period.
Tbh Jihyo is just so excited to be on stage after ten years. Even if it’s five years in or none. She just is happy that after ten years of training she got to be on stage. It is especially relevant on their debut stages for like Ooh Aah

She's good, but she's a slow learner and she's forgetful (I'm saying this as a JY stan) so she focuses on other aspects of her dance performance instead like facial expressions and vocal stability while dancing. This is also the reason why Feel Special was her best era yet because she made no mistakes during MV filming and killing it everytime during the rap part. For me as long as Momo herself acknowledged her talent, I'm content. Plus, her footwork is actually excellent so, plus point for that.

No it does not. Not good at dancing does not make a person dirty :(, it just means you need more practice :(. Its a rating from a dancer and from a lot of fancams ... and she is a singer isn't she? so this does not really affect her :(

Mina is an amazing dancer but imo she isn’t an amazing idol dancer. She doesn’t have energy, facials and stage presence that make sana and jihyo so fun to watch.

@@milimilii1751 Yea I think all of twice members overdance but Momo barely does it. I think it’s cause she distributes her energy well. Another problem I think is the fact with the dances she does now she uses her torso and higher more than her legs, so when she does have to add her legs she overdances and becomes a bit stiff.

I'm not a die hard fan of TWICE but whenever I watch their videos Mina always caught my attention and I even thought she's the Visual of Twice. I sometimes wanna be like her or most of the time, she's perfect, good in dancing and having those amazing beauty.

Yess true, if you watch her DTNA , signal (and even fancy/yes or yes) fancam. You can see how good of a dancer she actually is. She is sooo energetic and sharp😍 I guess ranking dance is also really on personal taste. Because for me I think energy and sharpness are on of the most important things so that’s why I think Jeongyeon is a really good dancer.
she has intervertebral problem/injury. she had to do surgery almost right before the recent M&M comeback, so it's likely that her problem had been developed during or even before the feel special era.

That's it, because she is an all rounder . She sings, she raps, and dance. But according to her she doesn't want to be that outstanding but she wants to do everything perfectly.
Jihyo made me think she was way better. Her stage charisma does that. I never thought Sana and Mina were this good, it´s nice to realize and i´ll watch more of them. Yass, Momo as always, she sings through her body. Even if she´s below Lisa i definetely like watching Momo way more. I just feel she´s so conected and bold. She´s such a joy to watch.

I find it kindda unfair to jeongyeon. For me she's a good dancer. Her dance is really not consistent and I admit it but if she put some effort in dancing (she can't put all her effort because I feel like she's more focused in singing than dancing) she can be better than nayeon. I saw that in their dance practice in LOA - TT and I saw it again in YOY (please watch her fancam).
In addition, Jeongyeon is really good in footwork. Please watch DTNA dance practice and compare their footwork in chorus and you'll see.
That doesn't mean she is not a good dancer, but the other 8 memebers are better than her but ofc jeongyeon is good

Tzuyu is improving so much. I really think if she gets a dance tutor alone for a week she'll show great improvements. She's also one of the lead dancers. She gets my attention in that first verse after her part choreo. Her body locks are more prominent.

I think when you count for versatility, Momo wins over Lisa, hands down. Lisa so far doesn't show any style other than power-hiphop and sexy. But she does phenomenal in those 2 genres. Momo tho, she's the best. And Momo also does a lot more choreographies since Twice has sooo many songs and performances.
