Gen 3 treecutting looked more like the entire tree was pulverized rather than cut.
I know in Pokemon XY series Ash taught Froakie/Frogadier and Greninja cut in most episodes

I discovered that in my very first Pokemon game FireRed when I mistakely used Cut and that cutted tall grass.
Its been 24 years since I played Blue version for the first time, and this is the first time I've ever heard of cutting tall grass.

An error in this is why does Infernape, Garchomp, and krookodile have cut when they can get way better moves!
Huh it appears in gen 4 cutting the grass is no longer a thing which I guess kind of makes sense kind of like the game corner but different
Ha he forgot after gen 4 you can't cut the grass that's the big error (this exludes omega ruby and alpha saffire)
