Just found that I can subscribe to your Soundcloud RSS feed to get these podcasts on the go, but only the first one seems to be showing up. Are the new ones not automatically being listed there?
Blah blah blah 1 2 3... I’ve had long conversations with lifelong friends that contained no more content than your podcasts, and I’ve valued them all. That kind of sharing of time without the need to appear witty or entertaining is something reserved for people you really care about and who care in return.
You’re in, I won’t say privileged as no one handed you this, but certainly unusual position of having 700,000 people who care to hear what you think about nothing.
That’s incredible! People might have connected with you because your art but they listen to your words because of who you are and it builds that sense of closeness. Almost friendship.
Consider these seemingly aimless meanderings through your mind as the way in which you maintain this odd, one-sided friendship you have with countless strangers who, even if you cared to, you cannot connect with in the same way they feel connected to you.
I read the comments of your videos and so many people mention how you’ve helped them through X or inspired them to do Y, even though, you didn’t really do anything at all, or at least not in an intentional effort to help that person.
Loneliness is a terrible thing. Given how one sided your conversations with us are, I would worry for you, were it not for your frequent mention of friends and how easy you find it to talk to strangers.
Your words do keep the loneliness at bay for many of your subscribers who don’t have that same gift and it may help, whilst you sit wondering if a lost pen nib is content, to know that you brightened many days for many people by talking about...nothing.

literally the best single person podcast to ever exist
I started laughing so hard when he took a drink of coffee, because this whole time I've been watching these content free podcasts, I thought he was talking while drawing. At the beginning of this video, I read a comment asking if he read separately from drawing, pointing out the coffee sipping and asking if he had a third hand. Peter responded by saying he does them separately. When the coffee sipping came up, it was more hilarious to me than was probably reasonable
A beautiful poem at 43:48
"I feel my butt, on the chair
I feel the pressure there"
dr.seuse who?
I liked this comment and then removed it to keep the perfect no intact
While watching this a large painting next to my bed came upon me, it knocked of a glass decoration on my desk which to my luck did not explode on contact. I now am keeping it sandwiched between me and my bed. Peter I didn't know how you do these things but you are amazing
i didnt even know i needed this in my life, im not even watching your drawing, im watching someone sculpt while you talk about whatever and im having a blast
Please keep making these I legit cannot sleep without your vids 😭
My favourite artist talks about my all-time favourite toy! Almost a quarter of my storage space in my bedroom is taken up by strictly organised Lego pieces that I got and I love playing with them. You're so great Peter.
I’m also not a fan of podcasts, talk shows, audio books, etc. but I like watching these videos and listening to a show called Welcome To Night Vale while falling asleep. Your voice & the other show’s host’s voice are very soothing to me. Calm & natural instead of sounding forced and rehearsed.
i rewatch to your podcasts to fall asleep every night because your voice is so soothing. i’ve gotten to the point where i’ve memorized the beginning of almost all of them because of how many times i’ve heard them. (although, when they first come out i do watch them all the way through!!) thankful for your channel and for you!
I liked your reminiscing about building LEGO’s with your sister and your thoughts on gravity and being disturbed by feeling it’s strange weight. Always enjoyable strings of consciousness here at the Peter show.
I adore audio books, and my wife lives by them. But I do fall asleep to audio books. But, I also have tinnitus, so I listen to a _lot_ of things, including your videos, as a distraction as much as entertainment or education.
Same man I've got tinnitus as well and I listen to his videos all the time even if I'm not even paying attention or listening lol
same lol I intake crazy amounts of media cause of my tinnitus. mine definitely isn't as bad as most, tho, as it's only noticeable if it's insanely quiet, and even then it doesn't hurt or keep me up; it's just always there.
I love talking to people, and it doesn't half frighten them! At first this made me sad, and I thought it meant I was a bad person. Later, I began enjoying it. I have a favorite Starbucks, and it's one of three of the 24 hour ones in Chicago. There are some baristas there that I torture with obscure Latin quotes and political writing from the 18th century, references from 1960's daytime Swedish television, or how that lump turned out to be a pimple, and now my doctor's office puts me on hold every time I call. I write, and I think people hate reading, or maybe they don't trust writers.
I am addicted to these podcasts. It is like walking into a labyrinth which is dark, and full of twists and turns.
Good job, Peter!
I enjoy every video you put out and I like the contrast and texture and cleanliness in your drawings. you keep me entertained.
My tea experiences have changed since getting a tea kettle. Microwaving coffee or tea imparts a change of taste I have began to notice. Have you ever had waffle with other toppings? My grandmother used to make masterpieces with layers of cottage cheese, applesauce, fresh fruits, maple syrup, and whipped cream. Sometimes ingredients would be omitted, but the bites were so large that they never quite fit. The memory resides in an old cottage that is long ago sold, at a time when we would visit the summer lake cottage and eat decadent waffles for breakfast.
You motivate me to try new styles of art, and inspire me to keep drawing no matter how it turns out. Thank you good sir.
Whenever peter posts a podcast I go "well I guess we're drawing today!"
Andrew Knowles same!
Same
Hey peter.I wanna say thanks to you because you have really given me inspiration these past couple weeks .....your videos have really keeped me up .....thanks peter .
I barely found your channel two weeks ago and I already watched most of your videos your voice is so soothing
How is it that I relate with so much of what you talk about. Such “off that bat” stuff but so relatable...
thank you so much, never stop making these we love them a lot!
the lego talk really spoke to me, took me back to the good old days. "hey if you see a light gray 2x4 piece can you tell me"
Hey, thanks for this. I have trouble sleeping sometime and your videos always relax me so I can actually sleep
How does one achieve this level of natural and beautiful abstract drawing ? I'm truly inspired by this
this freaking pod cast CRACKS ME UP EVERY TIME. peter. you are a comedy blessing. HAHAHA. The waffle grid and the the french fries story had me actually dying while I was coloring. HAHAHA!! bless you please keep making these
Peter been watching you for years oh the joy I would have just seeing your thought process for one single day lmao
We need to get break tags here in Louisiana. 10 bucks for a one-year break tag, or 20 for a two-year break tag. I always go with the two year one so I don't have to worry about it. They check all kinds of stuff. You can't have cracks in your windshield, all your lights need to be working, stuff like that.
Yay, thanks for another podcast Peter, eleven is a very good number (we call those car inspection stickers “brake tags” in NOLA #RandomTrivia) going to add this to my Peter Sleeps playlist now. xoxo
Amazing thing you got going on with these. Love the calm and random thoughts.

Let’s go
Your work is amazing and had inspired me to be better, I have the ability to draw like that but doing commercial stuff sucks the fun out of it. So, now, I just draw for me and I've been churning out some great stuff that's to you. I'll never really done your style before and while not easy, it's really fun and time consuming. Thanks for the videos.
I may be 2 weeks late, but now ive got something peter worthy that im doing at the moment.
These are the best Videos of yours keep em up, I always feel like - When i Listen to you with my imagination and later take a Look at the finished picture - its the Same thing i've been trough in my Head following your Voice
Hi Peter, here's what I think about things. I agree with you on the whole keeping drinks simple thing. Like whenever I have hot coffee, I rarely ever put anything in it. Same with iced coffee, although I do enjoy putting more froofy stuff in iced coffee because then it becomes a kind of coffee milkshake type thing which is rather pleasant. However, I do enjoy putting something in my tea. I really like putting a quarter to 50 cent piece sized dollop of honey in my tea. Not necessarily for the flavor, but more for the fact that it really helps the tea do its sore throat cure thing. I would recommend you try putting some organic clover flower honey in your tea if you want to really get rid of sore throats really quickly.
I really enjoy your videos by the way, they are very soothing and enjoyable and really help me get into a creative mood.
Been looking forward to this so much! Thanks so much Peter.
Thats funny in english class in 10th grade i have a very strong memory of my teacher teaching us that cathartic means "a purging of emotions, especially fear" and it always stuck w me as one of my favorite words bc i loved it so much
I’m glad your coffee machine is doing well Peter.
Since I've been watching your videos my drawing and my ideas of Art it's been very very interesting thank you for all the great ideas
I absolutely love these
I was watching the movie A Beautiful Life with Jimmy Stewart and I kept thinking this guy reminds me of someone. And in the middle of the movie it hit me.
That young man I watch on You Tube. PETER DRAWS. The same soft voice and same facial features.
i live in south carolina near the border with NC the air feels great out in the country. But i have noticed a lot of cars broken down on highways.
Hey! second view and first comment 😊 Love the way you word things and can't wait to work while I listen to you boggle around ideas
Mercy Belle 22 hours ago? Geesh I got the notification like one minute ago...
3:01 Peter writes "Poooo"
I AGREE
ayeeee!!!! One of these, right as I was about to start drawing. perfect timing
That bit about the social meanderings through the subtleties of your relationship with the self checkout person was beautiful, I've never heard that phenomenon put into such a nice story.. much less put in any way at all. Lots of things about our culture that aren't the main celebrated sMILLLEee/extroverted way to be aren't even spoken of, but oh, they go on.
Your word streams are always refreshing.
don't skimp on inspections. i used to live somewhere which didn't require inspections and had a bad mechanical failure which ended up in a bad crash with me having metal bars and plates in my leg. an anual or semi-anual inspection would have caught the problem that caused my wheel to fail.
This is wild, because I listen to your podcast to fall asleep lolol
Yaas! Peters back. I was just craving a ramble podcast :)
I live in Minnesota and we don't have car inspections and it sucks! People drive around without side mirrors, without working break lights, with huge massive dents in their bumpers and doors...its madness, and its super unsafe. I want people to have mirrors! Also great drawings love you.
Peter can you do more reading while you draw? It's so soothing to watch you draw and hear a story
I like both, listening to ACTUALLY listen and understand, and just having something in my ears as I drift towards sleep, or while I'm drawing. :)
I remember hearing you talk about how you played catch and the ball disappearing, I won't give too much details and let others silently remember it with me ;)
p.s. the lego part was too relatable that it started to hurt
Just got notification but have you guys seen that new profile of Peters lmao 😂😂
Is it me or does Peter look like Keith Herring?

My god, you sir, are better than most ASMR artists, and you don’t even try
Peter you are awesome! Love your stuff, coming from a fellow crawl space kid🤓
Peter you remind me of myself when im tripping on LSD and feeling creative lol, I love your videos man keep up the good work!
Your podcast is better than audio book. Thank you :)
"Let me talk about clipping my toenauls now." Haha! Talk about stream of conscious. :D
The way your hand is moving is like a 3D printer
I feel the same way with the toenails. On my hands my ring fingers are my favorite to cut. Since they grow faster.
I don't know about NC, but in GA it's illegal to posses multiple state issued ID cards for some reason. We're required to destroy the old license when we get a renewal. Better check on that before you get that duplicate.
nice, now I can finally sleep again :) thanks petey

I would say digging a hole is cathartic.
Ha! I've been pulled over once, a few years ago and I couldn't stop giggling. I also only got a warning. I haven't received any tickets thus far.
i enjoyed this. Thank you.
Did you ever noticed horror Peppa pig near the upper right corner...
this is weirdly relatable. So much of this is stuff I used to do as a kid.
i agree with your gravity thing i can’t believe i haven’t been pulled to the center of the earth and turned into molten lava, thank you for making me feel the weight of not just my actions but my mass as well
also do you have an opinion on what planet is your favorite? i feel as though i would like to be on maybe venus, it seems like a nice place to sit and absorb the microwaves of radiation without being melted at least right away. venus would be a great place to build a vacation home.
I do like Venus, however it's very hot, in fact it's hotter than Mercury even though it's further away from the sun, due to the crazy atmosphere that traps in the heat.
Lol...drinking a cup of hot water as I listen to this. You should try it Peter it is very satisfying and simple.
You're the best, Peter!
Hi Peter. I too have many silent relationships. Some of my closest friends totally don't know me. We never speak, but I'm face blind and most of the time, I don't even know, I know them. It's like meeting them 20 times for the first time. Eventually, somehow, I start recognizing them or they say something like, "hi, weren't you here the other day", and the friendship ends because I am not into long relationships. Well, except for my kids, husband, dad, mom and whoever tells me I know them. But, I don't count them as relationships.
29:31 I am so glad you didn't say 'speculum' here like I was so afraid you were going to.
I live in NC!!! Do you display your art somewhere? I've been watching you videos back to back because they have refueled my artistic drive!
my favorite quote from this is "i got the lego magazine for many years" loosely quoted*
43:00 min.(and many, many other parts.)This guy talks how I wish my friends would talk when we take shrooms. I’m just going to play these videos next time. And he’s sober?? Maybe I should try that trip🤣🤣
God I love this man.
my life goal is to be as chill as u make me feel forever
you know what peter. some might argue that you have rather limited skills but your style is so unique and you sure are a pro at it. so yeah. i think you're pretty amazing
Came for the art, stayed for the toe nail clippings.
The scared white girl 👧 thing? LOL. Cracked me up

I think sharpies are not so sharp they deserve to be named after that trait
well said
I am 2 minutes in and looking forward to hear your mouth move for another hour, Peter. Let's hope you don't lose control and fly off the road. Or maybe we should hope you do. How could we expect otherwise?
Yeeesssss I love these
you inspired me to start drawing, thanks
Watching this because my first isograph is arriving in the mail today. It's also a .35
Hope you're all doing well
for the first 10 min of the video i thought "but what about the coffee?" then... it finally came :)
:)
Luv u Peter
Thanks... oh... yeah, right.
Luv u Peter
14:00 oh GOD, i know the feel, even here in Italy the radio people talk too much! People need music in the morning damn!
This is good to draw to
The artwork should be titled: “A South Carolinian Mucky Muffler Mechanism”. You might consider honey in your tea when you have a sore throat, it actually can help. (I’m a nurse too.)
"In high school I had some pretty bad eating habits." LULZ.
p.s. I do not understand how you're not 400kg, and in need of airlifting out of your home. I need to introduce you to Mr Salad.
God bless you
49:49 fun fact if you drink warm/hot water after you eat it helps you digest (dijest? i donno) the food you ate faster tharefore making your mentabalisem quicker and quick mentabalisem can decrease weight gain ( this was told to me by my mother father and grandma soooooo it could potentualy be false but it has showed improovement in my body) this may worck because the heat desolves the food and the water makes it squishy and MOIST wich makes it easier to digest
just feeling the waffle thing sooo much
just love your videos.
you are such an amazin person just wanted to talk to you you are so amazing and such inspiring person (sorry bad english im from germany)
wish i could meet you.
please dont sstop
I think a lot about how if there really isn't anything after death then by definition death itself is nothing to fear because it isn't an experience. This idea of simply not being even sounds really enticing at times. ( You said I could tell ya)
thank you
I could never listen to the while falling asleep. I like them when I have to walk the same 10 Minuten footpath from the busstation to my home, everyday, twice a day..... usually that is enough for one chapter, my feet know the way and I can be fully in my head. It's nice. Makes the way seem shorter
English teas are okay, but herbal teas are my favorite. I have some apple cinnamon and lemon lavender teas that are super good.
44:20 good job Peter, you just discovered gravity!
